Fleischmann's Yeast: Rises to the Occasion

5

I have always loved to bake but until recently had not tried to bake bread. I have many different recipes that call for yeast in them. This yeast works like it is supposed to. It rises to the occasion perfectly. My recipes have turned out well although it's a process of elimination figuring out which ones are best. I was very nervous about using yeast at first but this one is simple and you don't need any special abilities. Just mix it per instructions for beautiful results. The best part is it is not expensive so you can try try again should your bread need some tweaking. I trust Fleischmann's.

Dough never rises.

This is garbage! I purchased three packets of the Rapid Rise and three packets of the Active Dry yeast and all six were complete garbage. Not one of the six packets worked. I followed the instructions and failure every time. I'll never buy this again.

I have used Fleischmann's active yeast for many years as my mother and mother-in-law did before me. There is just something that smells so yummy about freshly baked yeast rolls. I purchase these in a three-pack paying careful notice to the expiration date on the back. So many recipes can be made with Fleischmann's active dry yeast. My favorite is the yeast rolls and I make my own pizza dough with this yeast as well. Occasionally I will have an issue with it rising but I believe as the expiration date nears, the yeast may not react as well. We also have a septic system. I read somewhere that active dry yeast is good to pour down septic systems to help them perform better. The directions were to mix two quarts of water with a package of active dry yeast and pour it down every drain in your home every thirty days. I am not that diligent about it. I try to at least pour this mixture in my drains every two months. I highly recommend Fleischmann's Active dry yeast for baking and for septic systems.

**Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast **is a staple in my pantry. I keep both the three pack size as well as the jar because I make a lot of bread, rolls, etc. Fleischmann's has never let me down in the 30 plus years that I have been using it unless I put it in too cold or too hot of water.  Once I got the right temp down, it has been a tried and true product. For most recipes, you simply sprinkle the yeast  onto a cup of warm water and add a bit of sugar [it feeds the yeast].  As the yeast mixes in to the water and starts feeding on the sugar, it will begin to bubble and grow.  It is fun to watch the process and when you see that happening, you can rest assured that the yeast is doing it's thing. Simply, follow the directions of the recipe and you will soon be enjoying the fresh taste of home made bread.  Nothing better. The yeast comes in several variations- Red Star Yeast, Fleischmann's Rapid Rise Yeast, Compressed Cake Yeast and bread machine yeast.****
