I just had to have one of these and they work miracles! My son has never liked being in a room all by himself so getting him to sleep was such a fight. I started using this at nighttime even during regular day time naps and he slept like a charm. Its such a neat item that plays music and lights up when the room is dark. Its durable and safe to hang on the side of the crib, not having to worry about it falling and hitting the baby and the straps no it are durable not allowing a small child to pull down.

I absolutely love this crib soother! We had a similar fisher price one for one of my boys, but the plastic straps on the back didn't want to stay on! I bought this one for my daughter before she was born. (She's now 4 months old). The straps on the back are easy to take off, but now so easy that she can get it off. It is a little heavy, so I would be worried if it came off and hit her, but that doesn't seem like it will be an issue. The lights are bright and colorful, so she loves that! It also has cute music, and a variety of songs. The power button and volume control are on the top, so she can't reach those when she starts to sit up. But there is a little button on the bottom right corner that can be pressed to start the music or change to music. That will be great for when she's a little older. She will be able to press the button and start the music on her own. This is my third child, so I've gone through a few different soothers, and I would recommend this one over all the others I've tried.

This soother is really cute and as my daughter got older, she liked playing with it by herself. However, if you have all of the options turned on, it doesn't stay on long. .. definitely not long enough to soothe my baby to sleep. We left it in the crib as a toy, but bought the munchkin sound machine/projector that we could leave on all night.

The Fisher Price Rainforest Waterfall soother is a wonderful toy.  We had it in the NICU when my son was small, and he loved it even then.  We had to buy one to have at home, and it has been with us for 2 years.  To my surprise, it has grown with him in ways I never expected.  Now, instead of me pushing the button to make it work, he pushes it (off and on and off and on....)  He also takes great joy in switching the settings to turn the lights on, the motion on, the music on, and then all back off again. When my son was younger, it was easy to take with us on trips so that he would feel comfortable wherever we slept, and we always took it with us on our (sadly), many trips to the hospital.  We had to be sure to label it, because the hospital staff wanted to keep it! The best part is that the music is soothing to babes and not irritating to grownups.  I wouldn't care how many times my son hits the button to start it -- it just doesn't bother me at all.  Nice. Honestly, I doubt we'll be putting it away anytime soon.  I just love it,

The Fisher Price Waterfall Soother acts just like a lullaby to baby's ears.  My grandchild is almost 3 years old and her Fisher Price Waterfall Soother is still beside her bed.  She no longer sleeps in a crib, but still insists on having this precious soother close by, to help lull her to sleep.  She is old enough now to choose which sounds or music she would like to listen to, and the soother is so easy to operate she doesn't have any trouble doing it herself.  My daughter thinks this will be one of those toys that will go along with my grandchild to college. She has not gone to bed without it since she was an infant. It is small enough to travel with if necessary and in her case it was necessary!  It conveniently turns itself off after a time, so if during the middle of the night she happens to wake up, she can now just reach over and press the button to turn it back on for a while. Of course the cute style and soft lighting is an added bonus!

Nothing beats the Ocean Wonders crib toy from 6 years. It was great. As a replacement, I bought this Rainforest Waterfall crib toy. The music and movements are very soothing. However, the blue light is awful. What were they thinking? In the middle of the night, the blue light is blinding! Needless to say, we haven't turned it on much at night.

This is such a cute soother. It matches the rainforest nursery theme perfectly. The great thing about this soother is the many settings. You can play just the music, play the music and have the night light on, or play the music with the night light and have the animals move around. It also has a few different types of music you can play as well. My son was a huge fan of the waterfall sound, it always put him right to sleep. If your using this soother for an older baby the good thing about it is that it is easy for them to turn on. The only thing is the straps could be a little longer for cribs with a wider top. I could only put it in a certain spot on my sons crib since the straps were not that long. As far as battery life goes, I only ever replaced the batteries twice in the span of 10 months. This is a great item to have for any nursery. I do wish it had a remote though so you did not have to disturb your baby when you needed to go back into the room and turn it on. Other than that this soother is amazing!

This is such a great product.  I got this for my first child back in 2007, oh my he loved it.  I had to play it every night so he could go to sleep.  It has so many settings, volume soft-loud,  just sound, sound and lights, etc, and more.  It is so soothing for baby.  I love how it lights up bright so it gets there attention.  It fits securly on the crib.  HARD to get on and off the crib.  Goes through a lot of batteries.  just a push of one button gets it started again.  Once baby got older he would always mess with the settings.  Its not to big and not to small just a perfect size for the crib and for baby.  It has nice sound quality. Now that I have a second child that will be in the crib shortly I can't wait to get it set up again and going for him, and to see the joy on his face when he goes to sleep.  It has been so long since I used it last and I put new batteries in it and it still works I'm glad it is made of good quality..

my older two boys were not that in to crib toys, mobiles or their crib for that matter. but my youngest baby is a big blankie toting, mobile loving, white noise addicted baby ever. he can't sleep without white noise so i wanted to get him one of thoses old ocean wonders crib toys with the tricling water in it but i couldn't find it anywhere. i thought he would love the noise of the water and love to watch the water movement. instead i found this jungle one and saw tat it had a small section on the bottom where water trickles around and the waterfall and i figured it might work so i bought it. I am so thankful that i did. this things is like his best friend. the first time he ever smiled or cood was at this toy. he gets so excited when we put it on. i sent video to family in another state of him playing with his best friend because its so darn cute. he punches it and tries to grab the things out of it and its a bonus for me that the noise helps him sleep at night, i just turn the light part off. love this toy.

We didn't even have this item on our registry, but it was one of the first items we purchased after bringing our newborn son home.  As you may or may not know, when babies are born, they are used to loud sounds and noises (from in utero), and have a difficult time adjusting to the quiet, outside world.  This sound soother machine helped us get some hands-free baby time while our son learned to fall asleep in his bassinet. The sound machine plays 3 tunes - classical music, lullabies, or rainforest sounds.  You can have it light up or just play music, and you can adjust the sound level a few times as well.  The best feature about this soother is that it plays music for over 10 minutes!  Many sound machines don't play that long, making it difficult because you have to keep getting up to restart it. We have only had to replace the batteries once and our son is a year old now.  He still loves his "tv" as we call it, and plays the music by pushing the buttons himself now!
