I am not overly pleased with this swing

2

I got this swing for my grandson before he was born. I liked the set up and thought it would be a wonderful thing to use during the day. The swing is ok but there are better. The aquarium is not in his line of sight. He has to tilt his head back to see the aquarium, and because he is only three/four months old, his head gets 'stuck' thus he begins crying because he can't bring his head down again. The piece that hold the aquarium would be better if it were a little longer so little heads could look up easily at it. It does not tilt in any direction but does turn to go from side to side to back and forth but the problem remains that it causes the baby to really look up to observe the aquarium. The other problem is that water leaks into the battery area of swing. I have to dry it out a couple of times per month. Granted, I bought it used from a reputable dealer of gently used baby items, but it is rather frustrating. It plays music as well as sounds like wind and water which is the reason I have kept it. I actually put it by his pack n' play with the aquarium base over it. That way he can see it (which he loves), hear the sounds and not get "stuck". Perhaps in a couple of months when he has more head control we will try it again but for now this how he gets to use his swing. Versatility It has a wide stance and takes up more room than other swings I have used.

One kid loved it, the other hated it

I think that when you buy a swing for your baby you should be warned, not all babies like the motion of it. My first son hated it and would be happy for about 2 minutes and then was done. While my next son loved it and would even take long naps in it. So it really depends on the child:) That said this swing was a great swing. It was colorful, it had a light, motion and multiple soothing music modes. It had several speeds for the baby abd different rocking patterns which was helpful. The cons: This thing blew through the batteries. I wish it came with an a/v adapter that you could plug into the wall!!! ANother con was that when they were first born they were so light that the swing was too fast. I mended the problem by weighing down the seat with a blaket over the babies legs and it did help. Overall it is a good product, just don't assume your baby will like it or even love it as much as you want them too :)

I've used this swing for all three of my children and they have all enjoyed it. My youngest child is currently three months old and he loves to spend time in his swing. It's a nice break from being held or sitting in his bouncy seat. The swing is especially nice as it swings both front to back and side to side depending on which direction you would like. Also I like that it can recline fully for a newborn but be adjusted so that the child can sit up more as they are more in control of their head. The tray is nice as you can place small toys on it to give the child some things to play with. The swing is not overly large and doesn't take up much space while swinging. The only con that I can think of is that it requires batteries. I wish you could plug it into the wall or it came with rechargeable batteries. That being said I think I only went through 2-3 sets each of batteries with my first two children and I'm on my first set with this child. I would recommend this swing to a friend

I loved the ocean wonders cradle swing from fisher price

I got this baby swing as a baby shower gift when my daughter was born five years ago. Thank goodness for swings. She had colic and we had a really hard time with her. She cried probally twenty hours a day and hardly slept. The only thing that ever gave her any comfort other than being held was this miracle swing. It was awesome. It swings to different directions. Front to back and side to side. It had music, nature sounds, and a light show. The only thing I didnt really like about it was it goes through batteries like crazy. But in my situation it was worth it and back then they didnt have swings that plugged in. The only thing that could have made this swing better would have been the option to plug it in or use batteries. My advice to new moms would be to buy this swing or one just like it that plugs in. Im not sure but they may come with that option now. I just had my son a year and a half ago not colic thank goodness but we had held on to it and used it with him as well and he loved it.

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing is great!

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing is a great swing.  I love the different swing settings it has.  I also like the music that it plays.  Most children's toys play music that can get really annoying, but this swing's songs are rather soothing.  It also has other nature sounds as well.  I also love the way you can take off the cover to wash.  This swing as everything you could ever want.  It has different colored lights, the mobil spins, there's different speed settings for the swing, you can swing forward, backwards, side to side... etc.  I think you get the picture!  I also think it's very durable too.  I'm on my third child and I also lent it out to friend as well.  So this would be the fourth child to use this swing and I'm happy to say that it works fine and has no problems.  It's sturdy enough for my toddler, when he/she sneaks a ride!  Overall an awesome investment that can make life easier.

Love the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders swing!

The Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders swing is awesome. We have loved it each time, and so has our baby girl. It was a gift for our fourth baby. The last Fisher-Price swing we had was 10 years old, so we really needed a new one. We registered for this one, and are glad we did. The two different settings for the swing type are perfect. Baby loves to swing side to side, so we keep it there most, but we like the option to swing her front to back if she wants. The music and movement also add to this great swing. Baby can look up and drift off as she watches the fish and hears the water movement. There are different setting for the music/water sounds as well so you can choose. So many options for a swing that is, in my opinion, very thrifty. We have owned other brands in our house, but consistantly go back to Fisher-Price because their products are of greater quality. I would recommend this swing to anyone who is looking to buy one for their new baby.

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing is WONDERFUL!

The Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing #H0795 is WONDERful!  We received the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing as a baby shower gift and it was the BEST baby shower gift we  recieved!  Our son was able to use this swing as soon as we came home from the hospital!  The swing is able to swing from side to side and from front to back!  The versatility in the swinging motion was a wonderful thing, if our son wasn't happy swinging one way, we just changed it to the other available direction and he was one happy camper!  The reclining seat is great for little ones that are not able to hold their heads up and as they get older you can put it in a more up right position!  The seat cover is washable!  When you have children the word "washable" is a must have!  The tray that comes with it is removable and personally we never really used the tray at all, but you may find that you can't live without the tray!  There are several variable speeds, music and lights.  It even has sounds from the ocean.  Your little one will love watching the fish and seafish float around has they rock off to sleep, just like our son did!  We are still using it 4 years later with our neighbors little girl I watch every day!

Love, love, LOVE the FP Ocean Wonders Aquarium Swing

This swing was a lifesaver after my daughter outgrew her Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Glider.  We weren't those lucky parents whose babies just loved to sleep.  Nope, mine viewed sleep as the enemy and fought it til the very end.  Fortunately, this swing was stronger than she was and usually won the battle.  Many times when my daughter wouldn't nap I could put her in the swing and within 20 minutes, she'd be out cold.  This would even work at night time when all else failed.  That being said, here are what I found to be the pros and cons to this swing: PROS  - Very sturdy - Good battery life - Really good activities above and in front of baby keep him/her happy and interested  - Multiple seat settings, both in terms of recline and in terms of the swing direction, i.e. front-to-back vs. side-to-side. This second point is surprisingly rare in swings, but you want to have all options when your feeling out your baby's preferences.   CONS  - Loud motor, although you get used to it after a while as it's almost hypnotic - Baby will have to grow into it. Like so many baby items, this one goes too far on the low end of the recommended age. Smaller babies will be moving too fast even on the slowest settings.  - The sturdiness comes at a cost in terms of size, it does take up a large amount of room.

love this versatile swing!

We purchased this swing for our first son so that he could have a fun place to hang out, and were hoping he would like the sideways motion since he didn't like the front to back swinging of traditional swings.  We had the Fisher Price Aquarium Take-along swing, but he wasn't fond of that for too long.  We absolutely loved this large swing, and our infant son loved the cradle motion.  It is very easy to flip the seat between the two different rocking settings.  There are plenty of speed choices, and there is also a mobile and different soothing sounds that you can adjust.  The seat cover washes well and is easy to re-assemble. It is also easy to adjust the seat between the 2 positions, although there isn't too much of a difference between reclining and upright.  There is also a snap on tray, but it is a bit of a pain, making you wish that just one side detached to keep it on the swing when you take baby out.  We usually just left the tray off, since he couldn't reach it that well anyway while it was on.  The seat belt is just for the waist...a 5 point harness might be nice.  It is easy to fold up, but you have to keep the fabric between the leg posts down as you unfold, or it will get stuck.

Managed to make it through 2 and a half kids.

I received this swing as a gift for my baby shower four years ago.  I used it for my first two boys and am currently using it for my third and it's still going.  I love that it has the swing feature (obviously), but that the swing can also turn 90 degrees so it swings front to back or side to side.  The swing has five speed settings.  It has a sound feature with music or ocean sounds, with a volume control.  It has a mobile with four fish that spins and it has a light feature within the water globe.  All three of my kids love these features. The swing will continue to swing until you manually come and shut it off.  However, the sound, light and mobile features shut down after ten minutes and need to be reset by hitting a button.  Nice to help the battery life, but a pain if you want these on longer.  My biggest complaint about this swing is that it takes four D batteries and does not have the option of an ac adapter.  It's not like the swing is mobile, why not have the ability to plug it into the wall?  Other than that, love this swing!
