I must say, I was skeptical at first, but my daughter really loves this toy. I am confident that this toy has encouraged her to learn to walk on her own. The dog has a shape sorter on the side and you can feed that shapes into the dog's mouth. After feeding the dog, the dog will talk with "mmm..thank you" teaching the child cause and effect. The shapes are square, triangle and circle. There are also buttons to push also circle, triangle and square. one teaches abc's, one 123's and one that will rotate through different tunes. You have the option to lift up the seat and have your child push the dog. Or you can leave the seat down and the dog becomes a ride-on toy. When the dog is pushed, his head turns side to side and plays a tune. it makes my daughter laugh everytime. YOu can push his nose and it will "honk" or it will play a song. While riding the dog, his head also turns side to side and sings different tunes. It's so fun! A great buy!
