This cradle and swing glider was truly a lifesaver. Our second child was born with reflux and related colic. After exhausting every effort to soothe our fussy daughter, we decided to buy a swing n' glider. This model was the best value for the money. The side to side motion was perfect when our daughter wanted to sleep. The swinging motion was great when she wanted to play and interact. The cover was easy to remove and launder, which was a must for a child with reflux. The motion of the mobile was entertaining, and the sounds were soothing. The play tray was really not necessary, but it did add an extra degree of safety. (Note: It is extremely important to buckle in completely, as we discovered when our newborn slid out one of the first nights). The model did require replacing the batteries quite a few times. Although the advertised life of the battery was longer than most other comparable models, they did seem to run out often, perhaps due to our constant use. That said, this swing n' glide had a very high resale value at a consignment shop when we outgrew it, so all in all it was a great value.
