Love this dishwasher

5

This is the best dishwasher I have owned. Cleans well and is very quiet. I love the ease of loading and emptying - no more crouching down! This thing can handle everyday dishes as well as large serving pieces. Does a great job on pans also. Now that it's just my husband and me at home, the top compartment only is the way to go. Bottom will be great for holidays, but one drawer is enough for the two of us. I have had no issues with this machine and have owned it for over 5 years now. I would never go back to a traditional dishwasher.

Great Double Dishwasher

5

My husband and I decided to get a dishwasher for our new kitchen. Out so many choices we picked the Fisher & Paykel since we have a big family and the price of this item fit out tight budget, the color was a beautiful shiny silver, since the very first day it is soo easy to use that everyone in my family even our 8 years old knows how to operate it. The equipment does not occupied a lot of room in our kitchen. We use the bottom drawer for pots and the top one for plates, and all the others utensils. I also like the fact that is very economic since we don't have to put lot of detergent. Not noise at all and the quality since to be great since we had it for over 3 month and not problem so far. So glad we made this investment. Design Love it 'cause it looks like a very sophisticated and expensive item.

Love the dual purpose!

5

I knew this was the type of dishwasher I needed. I have kids going to college and I love to entertain. I needed the daul dishwasher for evening when it is just me and my hubby verses when everyone is here. The efficiency of the dishwasher is super, it;'s quiet, it cleans awesome. I do not pre-clean any plates and will also put pots and casserole dishes in the dishwasher. Never an issue with food not coming off.

Stinky clean dishes and glasses

Loved my first one enough to buy an expensive new one. The stink left on my dishes and glasses is unbearable. I'd never serve guests w/o first re-washing by hand. Water visibly settles in the drain and does not empty, but instead festers.

Ingenious design for a dishwasher

5

OK, I can't believe I didn't have one of these sooner. Whoever came up with the idea of having a dual drawer dishwasher deserves some serious recognition. I hate wasting water. With my old dishwasher, sometimes I'd have dishes that I was too tired to wash by hand, and there were only a couple things in the dishwasher, so I'd just suck it up and wait for the dishwasher to get full before running a load so I wouldn't waste water, and make do without my kitchen dishware and utensils that I really wanted to use. Not so with this Double Drawer! The bottom drawer is really small and will wash those small loads sans guilt. Each load uses less than two gallons of water, regardless of whether I use the top or bottom drawer. I'm feeling super eco friendly now. The only caveat is that I'm washing dishes more often, but I guess that's not so bad. Chores are more frequent, but they take up less time. I like the flow-through detergent dispenser as well as the built in water softener -- making sure I get quality water and cleaning in my dishwasher, and not just what I drink. Noise Level This thing is super quiet. Love it. Loading Flexibility The racks are adjustable.

Looks great, short cycles (38min), no plate warmer, hard to load

4

I had to have it because of the looks. I may not be fair in judging it because I just sold a home with a sub-zero and 2 Asko dishwashers. Can't beat the Askos except that the FP drawer has a really short cycle that cleans most items in one go-round. I use the inconvenient bottom drawer occasionally - so seldom that I find "missing pans" that have been in there for weeks. The bottom drawer runs extremely noisy but the top is quiet. If this were an American company, they would not get by with the rig-ma-roe involved with cleaning the huge filter. It is also difficult to clean the removable basket - slimy. Looks like the detergent would keep it cleaner. I like it better than the new traditional one I just purchased for the second home. I'd reccommend this to a small family because the cycles are so quick it is just as easy to have multi loads during the day as one big one (who likes to put away that many clean dishes at one time). Noise Level Top drawer which is most used is quite. Bottom drawer sounds like a semi is coming through. Cleaning Time 38 minute eco-fast get most things cleans, even greasy pans that are recently used. Loading Flexibility Hard to load because I try and fit everything in the top drawer. Things load only one way for max efficiency. So, dirty items must must be sorted before loading. Someone adding a glass or plate can mean repositioning of other items. Performance I have no complaints. Design Still trendy looking. Durability knock on wood - no problems yet.

Loading and saving energy is wonderful.

It's easy to load and unload dishes. Saves energy and water. Cleaning Time There are different levels of cleaning is what I love the most. It also has a energy saving feature that helps when you need items washed fast. I love the delay feature as our electric company will raise the cost during a period.

I miss my Fisher & Paykel

4

We had a Fisher & Paykel double-drawer dishwasher for 3 years until we had to sell our house and move. We moved to a new state where we are now renting and it has a standard plain-jane dishwasher. Why I LOVED our Fisher & Paykel: It was GREAT if you had a small load and didn't want to run both drawers. The drawers are DEEP and I could put pots and pans in them with ease. Love how it has shelves for small cups. This dishwasher is super quiet too. This is a super smart looking dishwasher...ours had matching panels to our cabinets. I also liked that it had a "lock" feature so my kids could not turn it on. This dishwasher is also SUPER quiet...and didn't disturb anyone trying to watch TV or hold a conversation. My only negative is that it is SUPER expensive.

Love my double drawer Fisher & Paykel

We recently redid our kitchen. First we installed the wood floors, and then we decided to replace the appliances. Somewhere along the line we installed granite counter tops. The plan was to install stainless appliances next. We started looking, but quickly realized we needed to narrow down our search to items within a certain size. Someone forgot to raise the cabinets after the floors were installed. So, we took our measurements to a few stores and started our search. We looked at a few other brands, and they all started to blend in. Nothing stood out. But then, in the displays I saw it. I swear I was almost giddy. 2 drawers? Really?   Pinch me. At that point, I didn't care about any of the other features. I just wanted it! After having it for a few months I am completely satisfied. The stainless exterior is easy to keep clean. The controls are located inside the drawer, so no more constant wiping to keep the outside clean. The interior offers several configurations for you to use. I've taken the silverwear basket out and been able to load larger items in the top drawer to run on one setting. The other drawer gets both silverwear baskets and a heavy duty wash. It pretty much eliminates any delicate handwashing I need to do. Especially at the holidays with everything from china, crystal, plates and pans.

The best for entertaining or small families

5

When it was just me and my husband this dishwasher was a must have.  I loved that we could run half the dishwasher at a time.  This was perfect for us.  When we had an old standard dishwasher we would run out of spoons before we had the rest of the washer full to run the load.  We were always washing silverware by hand to make it before we got a full load.  With the dish drawer we were able to fill it in one or two days way before we ran out of forks or spoons!  It is also great for parties or big dinners.  We are able to run one load every time we have enough dishes so we can keep on top of cleanup and not run out of anything.  Now that we have our daughter we still only need one dishdrawer at a time, but we only use the top because it keeps her from grabbing out knives or glasses that are potentially dangerous.  She just can't reach them on the top shelf!  Definately recommend this to small families!
