The *Fisher Paykel ActiveSmart Stainless Refrigerator *was the first appliance we bought for our new house. We wanted a bottom freezer and this was the lowest priced one in this style. That does not mean it skimps on the features or quality. It is quiet and not needed any service yet. We have had it for 2 years now and I am very happy we have this model. I am amazed at how nice it still looks after 2 years knowing our not-so-stellar cleaning habits. The glass shelves make it easy to find things and they are really sturdy. It is slightly smaller than most regular refrigerators, but that has worked fine for the two of us. I was thinking that a bottom freezer might be difficult to use or get into. The 2 drawers and ice tray roll out smoothly to give easy access to the space inside. The refidgerator shelves are easy to rearrange and have a bunch of possibilities for configuration. They stay in place without wiggling. There are some small plastic inserts that keep the shelves super snug, but we have lost a few of those. The shelves are still in there and don't wiggle without them. This has been everything we want in a refrigerator

When we were looking for a fridge to fit our specific dimensions but trying to get the biggest fridge we could find one of the sales associates mentioned Fisher Paykel. And of course we replied Fisher who??? But this is the same company who makes the two door dishwasher that is gaining in popularity. The Fisher Paykel worked perfect for our needs. We wanted a fridge that was a counter depth but did not have the width for a side by side or a trio. Then we considered a smaller side by side but the height was also a problem. Answer? The Fisher Paykel bottom freezer. This model E522B has a digital control for temperture and also adjustable cooler bins for humidity when storing meat or vegtables. The freezer has three glide out shelves for easy access to your items. The only drawback is that when it turns on its cycle it does make a bit more noise than our old fridge. Overall thought this fridge has everything we need. The storage area is larger than a top mount of the same cubic feet.

I bought this because it was the only counter depth fridge that fit in to the spot of my old 1960's fridge.  I've had it for a little over a year and I've very happy with it.  The one I have has a water dispenser on the fridge and an ice maker in the bottom freezer.  The ice maker doesn't get much use because the ice doesn't dispense with the water, but it is still nice to have when needed.  The fridge beeps when left cracked open and seems to cool consistently.  We don't have milk that gets frozen in the back like our old fridge.  It also fits quite a lot considering it is counterdepth and not as wide as many side by side fridges.  I can fit a famly size pizza in the fridge.  the door storage area can hold half gallon and 2 liter containers, but are not large enough for full gallon containers. You can adjust the shelf heights to accomodate the height of whatever you put in the fridge.  Overall, I'm very happy this fridge fit into my space.  .
