This shampoo is a lot thicker than a lot of shampoos that I've tried out. You don't need very much for application, this stuff goes far. I've found that this shampoo works well for me no matter what my hair length is. The shampoo cleans wonderfully without leaving much in the way of buildup on the hair. It does have coating properties that bind to the shaft of the hair which results in leaving your hair feeling silky and smooth. I love brushing my hair after using this product, it's like silk. Hair bands won't stay in place, they slide out because it makes my hair almost too soft. Finesse Hydrating Shampoo often leaves my hair looking almost like it belongs in a commercial. The light reflects off of it and it bounces as you walk. The shampoo smells great. The scent clings to the hair a lot longer than many other shampoos I've tried over the years. I receive more compliments on how I smell after using this shampoo, even on days when I am wearing only the scent of my cleansing products.

The main reason I first bought this product because it was fairly priced and I had a coupon. I thought it was really interesting the shampoo was blue in color, and the texture was very smooth and felt very nice in my hands. The smell was very nice, so I was surprised that I had never bought this shampoo before. However, it did not hydrate my hair as much as I would have hoped. It's possible it's because my hair is very wavy, but I honestly would prefer to buy a different shampoo at a higher price to hydrate my hair rather than the Finesse Hydrating Shampoo. It might work better for straighter hair types, but I would definitely not recommend it to people who have curly or wavy hair because you might not get the results you want. It did hydrate my hair a little and helped to make it look nice, but it was still obvious that I had dry hair. Effectiveness It did not get rid of all my dry hair, but it work to some extent. However, there are better shampoos that work more effectively. Scent The smell is awesome.The smell would be the main reason I would consider buying it again.

My mom used to buy Finesse back when it was just her and I, and she was struggling to raise a kid as a single mom. And we were pretty true to the brand back in the day. It reminds me of my childhood actually... the smell, the creamy sudsy texture, yep, it's all still there. I love Finesse shampoo and think it's a great product! Anyways, I loved Finesse when I was a kid and my mother obviously liked it too if she bought it. Finesse smelled great and gave me wonderful strong hair. The smell as I've mentioned is very pleasant and it conditions hair as it cleans for beautiful clean soft hair due to the shampoos creamy consistency. And you can't beat the price! Average price and I'm pretty sure they put out coupons so it would be a great value. :) Effectiveness I always felt this shampoo got my hair very clean, smelling good, and bouncy. Scent For me, the smell was the best part. Its so great when a scent/smell can transport you back in time to another place.

Finesse Hydrating Shampoo works best on dry hair. I use this shampoo on days when my hair is dry or flat. It moisturizes my hair. When my hair is brittle, this shampoo softens it. My hair gets frizzy sometimes, especially on humid days. I use this shampoo to remedy the problem. I like the way my hair smells after using it. The scent is nice. This shampoo is good for all hair types. I wouldn't use it on oily hair. Unfortunately, this shampoo doesn't add enough fullness to my hair. There are other shampoos that do a better job. It does make my hair shine. I like to use this shampoo when I have split ends. It gives my hair life. It makes my hair silky too. The way it lathers is perfect. The container is a pretty dark blue color with fancy writing on it. It is large and bulky, and hard to hold while taking a shower. I frequently put some of the shampoo into a smaller container. This shampoo is expensive. I only buy it if I have a coupon. Overall, I like this shampoo.

This is a good basic shampoo for cleaning your hair daily. It is fairly inexpensive but it does a good job of removing styling product and oil build up without drying out your hair. My hair felt clean and soft after consistent use coupled with a different brand's conditioner. The shampoo did not weigh my hair down which is good because I have long, fine hair. The bottle is pretty large and lasts awhile. The shampoo is a smooth consistency and not too thick. It lathers on quickly and rinses cleanly. Do not expect much more than cleansing however; I would try another if you need deep repair. This is a good inexpensive shampoo option. Effectiveness Effective at cleansing my hair; not sure if my hair felt any more moisturized. Scent The scent was not bad; it was a standard shampoo scent that did not last after the shower which is nice so it didn't compete with my perfume. It was fresh and added to the clean feeling.

I tend to like more "fancy" shampoos, but one day when I was out of my regular shampoo I decided to give Finesse Hydrating Shampoo a chance since my husband had a bottle. I have to admit I was impressed by how well this shampoo worked on my hair. I have very long, very thick hair so it is very hard to find a product that not only gets my hair clean, but also doesn't leave a nasty residue behind. Finesse Hydrating Shampoo did the job though. My hair felt very clean and light after using this and it didn't leave any residue in my hair. This shampoo is a good every day shampoo for both men and women as it doesn't have a strong scent that would be a turn off for guys looking to avoid "girlie" shampoo scents. Also it is really easy to find this shampoo at any local drug store and the price is very low. I would highly recommend this shampoo for families looking for a shampoo that everyone can use and that will take care of a number of different hair types.

I usually stick with the shampoo that has been proven from past history, but every now and then I see something go on sale and figure we can just give it a try. This Finesse product was one of those. I thought since it was a brand name, it should be at least adequate, but was disappointed. This shampoo smells OK, but actually left our hair unmanageable and somewhat dry. We typically try to switch up shampoo types after using a product for a little while, so our hair doesn't get immune to the same stuff. We were expecting that the switch to this one, at least for one bottle would have given our hair a refreshing lift, but sadly, it did not. I blow dry my short hair and can usually get the style to go how I like, but when I get a bad shampoo, it turns out that it just won;t go no matter what I do. This was one of those products that left me without options. I will not be getting this one again, even if it goes on sale. It doesn't work with my hair type and the fragrance wasn't even that special to make it worth another try.

I grew up using this shampoo. One of the things I loved about this shampoo is the way it smelled. I decided to buy it, it still has the same smell I remember using it while I was growing up. Unfortunately, something has changed in the products formula. It still hydrates my hair and makes it seem silky and controllable. The problem with it is that it leaves the roots of my hair feeling greasy and matted down. It looks as though I have not washed my hair in days after using this product. I was very disappointed it is not the same I remember as growing up using it. Wish that the formula would not have changed, otherwise this would have been my main shampoo for my entire family. Effectiveness It does hydrate my hair and make the end of my hair controllable. Helps with my damaged split ends. Scent Love the scent of this product. This is one of the main reasons I decided to try this product again because the smell is one of the best smelling shampoos.

First, I bought this shampoo because it was on sale with rewards, and I also had a coupon for it. When I started using it, I really liked it and I wished I would stock up on it. Effectiveness It made my hair smooth and silky. My hair is very thin and long and colored. Some smoothing shampoos or conditioners make my hair too oily, and looking even thinner. Also, I don't wash my hair every day, and don't want them to get greasy too fast. This shampoo does it just right. I don't even have to use any hair conditioner with this shampoo, and my hair is not frizzy. So, it saves me money there. I am not really sure if it washes off the hair color because I only used it a few times. Scent I like the scent. I don't care that much about the scent, as I do about the effectiveness and look of my hair, but it was pleasant. My little daughter smelled my hair and asked me if she can use my shampoo next time because she really liked the smell.

My mom used to buy this all the time when i was young. I loved the way it smelled and made my hair look and feel. I bought a bottle a while back just for that reason and was disappointed that it was not the same. Of course, when I was young, I was extremely fascinated with the fact that the shampoo was blue (which happened to be my favorite color). While that is not necessarily a "requirement" for me anymore, there are other aspects I looked for. I did not feel that it made my hair feel "clean" - just felt washed. I also did not get the same satisfaction from the fragrance that it once had. I'm not sure if the formula has been changed or if it is just because I am getting older. These are not extremely important factors with some people, but with me, they are. With that being said, if I had to use it, I would. But for now, I think I will just stick with other brands that I think work better for me.
