My mother in law purchased  this crockpot for me  with a note saying that my old one was tired out!  I didn't agree with her but who is going to argue when someone is handing you a new cooking appliance?  I did let it sit in a cupboard for awhile before I started using it since I had several other crockpots already and was a little irritated that she was telling me I needed a new one.  Eventually I decided to put it to work cooking lots of different dishes for my family of 6. I found it  is easy to clean with the removable crock and stainless steel exterior.  The glass lid is also easy to remove baked on food from.  It has been very reliable with even heating rather than burning food like my other crockpots.  I wonder what I would do without it?!  It is easy to use and makes life much simpler.  In fact it has made life so much simpler that I ended up getting rid of all of the other crockpots that I had in my cupboard.

I love slow cooking, so I was excited when I picked up the Farberware Stainless Steel 6 Quart Slow Cooker. This product definitly didn't disappoint. It doesn't really have all the bells and whistles of the other versions on the market (which are also higher priced), but I don't really think I need all of those things. I've made everything you can imagine in this crock pot and everything has turned out perfectly. I've cooked, chicken and beef, along with a molton chocolate cake and pumpkin pudding. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a basic crock pot. It works great. I've had it for a number of years and it's as good as the day that I purchased it. If it ever does break I would buy another of this same model. It's super easy to clean as far as crock pots go and it doesn't take up a whole lot of space. If you don't need the timer features and other "advanced" stuff I would say that this would be a great crock pot for you and your family.

The fiberware crock pot is a good idea but should have metal to fasten the lid down.  The plastic ones break too easy.  Other then that I really like the way it cooks your food and use it all the time to make deals while I am at work.

The Farberware 6 quart stainless steel slow cooker is fabulous.  The best feature is that it cleans up very easily.  That is very important to me because some of the other I have require a lot of scrubbing each time I use them.  This one can be wiped out with a paper towel.  the heat is also distrubuted very evenly.  Some other cookers I have cook very unevenly with some food being burnt and some being raw.  Also when you leave it on a low setting it keeps the food warm.  It doesn't keep cooking.  It just does what it is supposed to do, keep the food warm.   I have two Rival slowcookers and when they are on low they continue to cook too much so the food ends up burnt and dried.  I would recommend this one to anyone.  I have recommended this one to family member who have purchased and are also extremely satisfied with it.  The only thing that I would add to the cooker is more settings and a digital thermometer.
