I bought the Ergo baby carrier with infant insert and have never regretted this purchase. I knew from experience with my first child that I would want to carry my second baby early on. I tried the Moby with my second child and she hated it. So I decide to get the Ergo and it worked like a charm! The infant insert fits perfectly into the carrier and the pillow insert at the bottom allows the baby to "sit up" higher so that she is not lost inside the carrier. Also, because my daughter loved to be swaddled, the insert was very comfortable for her since I could clip it close. Lastly, it is very easy to use: just lie your baby down on the insert on a bed; clip it close; pick up your baby and put him/her inside the carrier. The only downside to the infant insert is that it is very warm so, if it is hot outside, I would not recommend it. Also, you should peek in to make sure that your baby is breathing okay with the insert as the newborn has no head control and may end up with his/her head against the insert. Otherwise, the infant insert does an excellent job of allowing you to wear your baby early on and it is very easy to use.

We purchased the Ergo Infant Insert after realizing that it was needed to safely carry our newborn with the Ergo. At this point I am still unsure how I feel about it. While it does keep her tightly contained, which is important, it seems she is not comfortable in it. If I keep the bottom insert in she is too tall and her head bobbles around. If I remove the bottom insert she is slightly too short and can't get comfortable. It is also very bulky for me to wear as well. I'm looking forward to the day I don't need the insert and can use the Ergo on it's own.

loved this product, worked great and super comfy for my newborn and me! She fit in it really well and it was very easy to use. Many carriers for infants require so many steps and it's hard to get the baby in or out. Supports the baby's head very well and keeps her in all comfy and snug.
