Durable and Attractive Cookware

5

My husband and I received a set of Emerilware Stainless Steel Cookware for our wedding. I cannot say enough about this cookware. We were originally looking at AllClad cookware but ended up going with this set because of the lower price and comparable quality. I am very happy we did. This cookware is very sturdy - no loose handles like our old pans. They clean easily and the copper ring on the bottom is very attractive, which is good because we have the pans hanging on our wall. We just have to polish the copper occasionally to keep it from oxidizing. I also love the glass lids that allow me to monitor my food without taking off the lid - plus I think they are more attractive than metal lids. My husband loves that the pans can be used in the oven as well as the cooktop. Doesn't Stick As long as you use cooking oil and don't burn your food, the pans don't stick much at all. Durability These pans are very durable. I can see us using these pans for a very long time.

Emerilware 8-Inch Fry Pan is too light for the heavy handle.

I wanted a high-quality piece of stainless steel cookware to cook small things like eggs and things like that, so when I saw an Emerilware Stainless Steel 8-inch pan was made by All-Clad, I jumped on it! Although the pan itself is awesome, I don't like one thing about it. My piece of **Emerilware Stainless Steel Cookware** is an 8-inch fry pan. I bought it because it is made with a sturdy triple layer base that consists of stainless steel, aluminum and copper. It has a hefty feel to it unlike the cheapo, stainless steel piece-of-crap pan that I replaced with this. Other reasons why I bought this pan are: it is dishwasher-safe, is oven-safe up to 550 degrees and has a lifetime warranty. Plus, All-Clad (the best of the best of cookeware) and Emeril (an amazing famous chef) together surely know cookware, right? I like cooking with this pan because the long handle feels nice in my hands and the pan itself is very high-quality. It provides even heat distribution and it doesn't scorch food like my previously mentioned piece-of-crap pan. Although it doesn't look as clean and pretty as it could, I love being able to throw it in the dishwasher. It would look much nicer if I hand-washed it, but oh well. Although I wish I would have bought the 12-inch Emerilware pan, I still like my 8-inch pan. The one problem I have with this product is that the diameter of the pan is pretty small and the handle is quite heavy. If I don't have a lot of food or some heavy food in the pan, the heavy handle can tip the pan over. I love that the handle is sturdy and strong, but I don't love the fact that the pan isn't heavy enough to stay flat when empty. That is the reason why I gave my **Emerilware Stainless Steel Cookware** a 4-star rating. Ease of Cleaning This pan is dishwasher-safe, so it's very easy to clean.

Emerilware Stainless Steel Cookware-I've finally found my match.

I am the type of person who used to be impartial to cookware. I bought cheap pots and pans and didn't care when they had to be replaced. One day, I decided to splurge and bought a set of (what I considered at the time to be expensive) Emerilware Stainless Steel Cookware. I was not disappointed. I bought my set about seven years ago and I still love it. The pots and pans are heavy. The heat evenly and can be placed in the oven (for those stove-to-oven recipes) - just remember not to grab the handles with your bare hands! They wash up fairly easily. Mine have seen the inside of the dishwasher on many more than one occassion and they come out great every time. I never really saw the benefit of see-through glass lids - as soon as whatever's in your pot/pan gets hot, the lid steams up and you can't see through it anyway. I don't consider this to be a negative since I didn't purchase the set expecting to see through the lids. Seven years of use and no complaints!

I love my Emerilware Cookware..Best I have ever owned

I received this cookware as a gift for Christmas about 5 years ago.  It is still in perfect shape.  I am an everyday cooker and have not had any problems at all out of this set.  You get a little bit of everything and the lids are interchangable, so each pot can have a lid. The set is easy to clean.  I use a little baking soda and vinegar combination for tough messes and it has worked great for me.  I use each pot weekly and couldn't imagine not having them.  They all come in handy.  The frying pans a little less because I do not enjoy fried foods often.  I get a nice even heating and love the fact that you can go from the stove to the oven with these.  They are a very well made and durable set.  The only downside is I do experience sticking when I cook eggs, so I did purchase a non-stick egg pan.  You will get your moneys worth from these pots and pans.  I recommend them to anyone who loves to cook.

Pretty good set for the price

My husband and I registered for this set when we got married 6 years ago.  We wanted the All-Clad, but chose to be realistic and register for something we might actually get.  Since this set is produced by All-Clad, we decided it was a good option.  Especially for the price.  They look a lot more expensive than they are.  And the set has everything you could possibly need. We love stainless steel cookeware instead of the non-stick and the glass lids make them look just like the similar Calphalon or All-Clad counterparts.   In six years time, they are still performing great.  And they clean very nicely too.  My only complaint, and it may be an isolated thing, is that the area where the copper meets the stainless steel is pulling away slightly.  I've done a little research online and found that there are some people out there who have had a similar experience.  It hasn't detered us from using them, but we are considering buying individual pieces over time to replace some of the ones that are experiencing it the worst.

Emerilware Stainless Steel Cookware is the way to go!

The Emerilware Stainless Steel cookware set is one of my favorite things in my kitchen.  I generally steer away from "celebrity" endorsed products just because I don't believe in the hype, but this set is a totally different story.  I registered for it when I got married, and have used it ever since.  I am not a huge fan of non-stick pans (though I have one for occasional use), but stainless steel is the way to go.  It is a lifetime addition to the kitchen.  The Emerilware Stainless Steel cookware is durable, beautiful, easy to clean, and easy to use.  I also love the glass lids so I can see what I'm cooking when the lid is in place.  I wouldn't dream of having another cookware set, and I'm fairly certain this set will be passed on to my daughter when she moves out - a LONG time from now!  You will not regret this purchase, it is well worth the cost because of its durability and beautiful ease-of-use.

This is as good as All Clad

I bought a set recently at Bed Bath and Beyond as a gift for my husband who likes to cook, but hates our non stick Caphalon pans because the coating wore off with time.  The gentleman who helped me, pointed out that unless I was buying the copper All-Clad, the Emerilware Stainless Steel and the All Clad are made from the exact same company, just All Clad is made here and the Emerilware is made in China.  I bought a 10 piece set and am not disappointed.  They cook evenly, and are great for sauteeing, searing, and making sauces.  Because it is all stainless steel I can put the pan from stovetop to oven as well.  I wasn't expecting much from a non-stick perspective, but with the right oil, I really don't have too much of a problem.  With a little soaking and some 'Barkeeper's Friend' they also clean nicely and stay looking shiny.  I would recommend these pans in a heartbeat, and I'm so glad I switched.

BAM!!

My husband and I were a bit at a loss when we went to pick out a cookware set...there are SO many to choose from, each touting their own horn, and when we asked friends, everyone had a different opinion! We picked the Emerilware because we wanted stainless steel and because it seemed like a good, solid set while not costing quite as much as comparable sets. We couldn't be more pleased. The basic set has everything you need (my "MVP" is the stockpot! :), and when we bought ours, the "special offer" included a free saucier, which is my second MVP, and a small, nonstick frying pan, which is great for morning eggs and the like. Of course, you have to use a bit of oil or fat when cooking with stainless steel, but I really haven't had to add much fat to our diet. The stainless steel holds up so well, and these pots and pans seem extremely well-made. The glass lids are also great; it allows you to see what's going on inside w/o having to remove the cover...important in many recipes. A tip: if too much condensation accumulates on the lid, just hold the handles and jiggle the pot a bit. That'll usually cause enough water to dribble off so that you can see in again!

I will never cook with another cookware set again!

Since I have owned Emeril's (Emeril Legasse) stainless steel cookware set I have absolutely loved it. I really love its look; with the glass lids! They are sturdy unlike most store bought cookware sets. It is well worth the money you pay. My other cookware purchases in the past have left me disappointed because the handles eventually come loose and even fall off! So far after 3 years there is no indication of flaws and they have held up just as they were when I first used them! Stainless steel also cooks relatively fast, I find that cleaning is easy as well. For really tough jobs, I use an alcohol of some sort: wine, vodka, lemon juice works well too! That keeps the bottom from discoloring, which is often caused by salts and acids. I can also pop the pan in the oven, when necessary for certain recipies, which is so much more convenient than transferring food to an 'oven dish'. The lids are also oven safe up too 300 degrees; however I prefer not to take the risk and use a flat pizza pan or foil. I got the largest set there was so I got the huge pot that holds a few gallons. This is perfect for seafood boils, and entertaining because it holds a large quantity! I definately recommend this product!
