Ole' These are Great!

4

These are amazingly tasty considering they are a frozen food. I love how they are made. A flour tortilla is wrapped around chicken and cheese and spices are added. These come in a good sized box with about 20 Taquitos inside. The cooking directions say you can either microwave these or bake in an oven. I find using the toaster oven gets the best results. You can bake them right from the box or thaw a while if you like. Once you cook them in the toaster oven they come out perfectly crispy with the filling oozing out the ends. These taste great alone or dipping in ranch sauce, or blue cheese makes them awesome! You should definitely try some today, a yummy treat or even for a small meal.

El Monterey Taquitos: Delicioso

4

These taquitos are so good. I have eaten a lot of Mexican convenience foods like these, but none like this. First, it's easy to see the chicken in them. I have eaten some that although the package said chicken or beef, it wasn't identifiable. This one has chunky chicken, not the processed mush in others. They are easy to heat in the microwave, although you can use a toaster oven if you like. When they are done you can eat them just as they are if you like. I like to put several on a plate and add lettuce, cheese, and salsa for an entire meal. I keep them in the freezer and the kids can easily take out a couple and heat for a snack. It's a very tasty and versatile product.

A quick and delicious meal the whole family will enjoy.

It is a quality product that does not dry out the way other frozen foods do. They also taste great, with no freezer flavor. These taquitos cook up nice and crisp on the outside, and gooey and tasty on the inside. I have burnt my tongue more than once because i couldn't wait for them to cool before diving in. My family likes to bake up a cookie sheet of these and eat them with side salads for a complete meal.

This Taquitos make a bad day good

5

I love El Monterey Taquitos more than you probably should love something in your grocer's freezer. These little flour wrappings of chicken and cheese can make a bad day good. They are good as a standalone meal, as an appetizer, for breakfast, in the middle of the night -- anytime!  I like to eat them with a little sour cream. My husband likes to eat them with a little bit of salsa. They are extremely tasty no matter what they are served with. They cook up quickly in a toaster oven. The chicken in them is more substantial than you'd expect. The shell is crunchy without being too flaky. They are extremely delicious. They are not spicy whatsoever. Actually, they are quite mild. So my children love them almost as much as we do. If I had to make these by hand, they still wouldn't come out nearly as good as this little box of heaven. I strongly recommend trying these taquitos if you're a cheese lover.

Excellent taste and fast to prepare!

I always keep these in my freezer for a quick delicious meal.  I put 3 in the microwave for 90 seconds and they come out perfect.  I love to dip them in Hidden valley's spicy ranch dressing.  Yum!

El Monterey taquitos - no more messy taco stuff on my shirt.

4

I have been looking at the taquitos made by El Monterey for quite some time. Since I'm often disappointed with heat and eat foods, I've manged to pass every time - until this week. El Monterey taquitos were on sale - FINALLY. I figured if I was ever going to get a box and try them, it was a good time. If you're not familiar with taquitos, they are like tightly wrapped soft tacos and with various stuffings. Think of the little bite sized pizza rolls in bread that you cook a few minutes. They're sort of like that but long and skinny instead of roundish. The ones I picked had chicken and cheese. They also had beef at the IGA. I thought chicken would be healthier. OK. Laugh. I know these are not healthy, but maybe I made the best pick considering I really wanted some taquitos. I put these on a cookie sheet and heated them for around 15 minutes. You could also microwave them, but I find that really wrecks a lot of foods. Frying is another option, and I know that's not good for my cholesterol. The taquitoes were surprisingly good. They are really kind of like the pizza rolls but easier to handle and also tastier. I could even tell they had chicken in there. It was chicken pieces instead of shredded who knows what. The spices were tasty. Not very hot. But I  would not expect it to be very hot and not marked so. With the long shape, the stuffing did not squirt out the sides and burn my mouth or fall on my shirt either which is a plus. El Monterey is a family company and started off with using the mother's recipes. They are frozen to sell of course, but they do taste more home made than most frozen foods. The taquitoes also won a Chef's Best award last year as stamped on the box. If you want a good snack food that fills you up and isn't very messy, this is a good bet.
