Yummy, but Messy!

3

These Earth's Best Teething biscuits are great! My kids loved the taste and being able to "feed" themselves. But have a washcloth ready because they get super mushy and messy. It sticks to little hands and clothes, especially if they eat slowly. Over time, the mush becomes a paste, then a dried paste! If you have a slow eater, these get messy because they dissolve. The kids like them though, just be ready for a cleanup after. Just use caution if you have a child that takes large bites- it is possible to choke on a large piece before it has time to dissolve into mush! Quality of Ingredients I believe Earth's Best to be high quality and have never had a problem with the ingredients in these biscuits. The ingredients are generally organic. However, if you are using a gluten -free diet, these are not for you, as they are made of wheat. Safety One of my kids liked to take large bites, but they dissolve fairly quickly. Just watch them as you would with any food.

Not the best for teething

3

I have a young daughter and she seemed to teeth for ever. I felt so bad for her and wanted to help her any way I could. I was told that orgel would make the pain worse when it wore off so I tried to find other alternatives to relieve the pain while she was teething. I tried the teething tablets. They didn't seem to do anything but make her mad. I bought the Earth's best wheat teething biscuits. Sure they were tough and good to chew on, but I was a little worried that if she bit off a big chunk she could choke on it so I was very nervous for her to bite on them. Plus, she was ok with them, but didn't seem to like them for very long. After several different products, I ended up using oralgel. It was not a great fix for her teething. It seemed to wear off very quick. I would say if you monitor your child with the teething biscuits then they may work for you. I trust the quality of the product, I am just a little worried about the texture and how hard they are. Quality of Ingredients They have very healthy ingredients in the biscuits. Safety Make sure you watch your child with them to see how they do with them.

Good idea but made me very nervous

4

I thought this was a very good idea. Earth's Best makes their products out of very good ingreidents, that is one of the very reasons I was willing to try to these. The size is good to fit into a baby's hand. The part that makes me nervous is the size of these teething biscuits. The way my kids were trying to shove them into their mouths made me nervous that they were going to get the entire biscuit into their mouths. The other thing is that when a piece breaks off its very hard and takes a long time to soften. Would not recommended these really for babies that can not chew etc, to me would be a chokng hazard. Quality of Ingredients The quality of ingreidents in these are very good. Safety Two things make me nervous about these in using them. The first is the size of them, I am afraid young babies that are teething who are agressive could try to get the entire busicut into their mouths. Also when a piece of it breaks off it is very hard and takes a long time to become soft. So if a large piece breaks off in the childs mouth it takes a long time to become soft.

Messy, but we love them!!!

I have to say that I kind of have a love/hate relationship with these teething biscuits.  I seriously LOVE that they are made by the brand Earth's Best (because I trust this brand), and I love that they are healthy, but they really are pretty messy and get mushy leftovers all over the place if your baby is like mine! lol :)  If you purchase these, then I would either let baby eat them in his/her diaper, or make sure his sleeves are rolled up and he has a bib!  My little guy really does love them, so I will happily continue to purchase them as they are a healthy treat and although my little guy would eat these any time or any day, Momma & baby both love them best when baby is teething.  My little man goes from an uncomfortable baby, to one smiley guy when I give him one of these.  So are they worth the mess and clean up in my opinion?  A thousand yes's if your baby love to teeth with snacks! :)

These teething biscuits are time consuming for my little one!!

These organic biscuits are a great option for little ones who are just learning how to use a spoon and self feed. I gave them to my daughter when she was old enough that she wanted to eat and was hungry but also where she wasn't quite able to self-feed yet. These were especially handy if we needed something for her to chew on while we were out running around or if we went out to dinner. They take so long to chew on and eat up that we were actually able to eat our food and have a conversation since these kept her so busy. There are two biscuits in each package and we usually only gave her one biscuit at a sitting, especially since they were more to keep her busy rather than to fill her up. I highly recommend these since they are organic wheat, and a healthy alternative to other snacky foods you can give your baby and most of all because they are time consuming. Warning- they are very messy and get all over everything. Still worth it, though!!

Great teething biscuits

Overall, I really like Earth's Best's products.  These teething biscuits are no exception.  When our son started to eat solid foods I was a paranoid first time mom.  I was so concerned that he was going to choke on things.  In addition, I was very concerned about all the sugar and crazy ingredients that is found in many of the more main stream baby food brands.  I didn't want to feed him something that has sugar or high fructose corn syrup as it's second ingredient!  I wanted a more natural alternative.  Our son really took to these!  I didn't actually find them to be that messy.  They were a great, time consuming "project" for him to eat these.  I never had a problem with him choking on them.  Once he mastered more foods, I would just bring these along in my purse or diaper bag to give him as a snack.  They come in a nice package and I preferred to give him these instead of crackers.  We called them "cookies" for a long time.  He can't be fooled any longer on that one, but it bought us some time.  These are also a really reasonable price.

I bought a box of the Earth's Best Wheat Teething Biscuits for my son at HEB. I looked all the biscuits looking for one that would most suit him. I figured Earth's Best is a good brand so I'd try it. Lets just say that was 4 months ago and I have over half the box left. While I like that the health benifits are great, my son thought the taste was boring. After the biscuit was in his mouth 10 seconds he threw it to our dogs. I though well maybe he's just not ready. I tried again a month later. While he didn't throw it to the dogs he still did not want  to finish it. I guess for me I personaly didn't like the way it broke so easily and how my son choked on the bite he actualy ate of it. These biscuits get mushy and dirty so your child should be seated in a high chair so he/she wont drop it on carpet. You should also keep a closed eye on your little one to prevent choking. I wouldn't buy these teething biscuits again.

Earth's Best have great ingredients, but be careful

Overall, I like the Earth's Best Wheat Teething Biscuits, but you must always watch your little one when they eat them.  The biscuits seem to be really hard, but once they have been in the baby's mouth for a while, chunks can break off into their mouth.  Those chunks are too hard to really chew up if your baby doesn't have many teeth, or even none at all.  I have had to reach my hand into my baby's mouth and pull out large pieces so he doesn't choke.  My son is 10 months old and has no teeth.  As long as you are watching your child, I think the biscuits are better than other teething biscuits I've seen.  They have all natural ingredients and my baby really seems to enjoy the flavor.  He also likes to hold it himself.  I think it's a good food to show them how to self feed. In addition to watching your baby when they are eating, you also should be aware they are very messy.  My son is usually covered with biscuit from head to toe when he is done.  From being in the baby's mouth, it forms a paste-like consistency.

Earth's Best Wheat Teething Biscuits--Safe and Yummy

4

I have been buying a lot of Earth's Best items for my baby because they so proudly state "Organic" on all of their foods. I think this is important due to some of the scary foods out there today.  These biscuits are not supposed to have any "genetically engineered ingredients", which makes them worth the extra money, in my opinion.  The front clearly states that these are only for babies 9 months and older, but there is also a checklist on the back of the box so that you can be sure that your baby is ready for these.  My baby is only 6.5 months, so I watch her super carefully when she has them.  Though she is very young, she is doing everything that is "required" to be ready for them.  There are 12 biscuits, and they come two in a package.  This is one thing that I don't like about them.  I wish they were individually wrapped because it's difficult to store the 2nd one, and babies will probably only eat one of these a day.  I appreciate so much that these biscuits are organic, and I feel good about feeding them to my little one!
