Duracraft is a brand that it produces workhorse products that do what you want them to do, no more no less. The small room humidifier is no exception. Well, maybe at this size it's less of a workhorse and more of a draft pony. I used it when I lived in a desert state for about a year. If you live in a dry area it's really a good idea to have a humidifier in the house, especially if you have sinus problems. I used mine only at night, as this unit only mists long enough to get a good night's sleep. Output Volume It's loud. If you like white noise at night that's not necessarily a problem. Performance It's a bitty little thing that will add humidity to a small room for long enough to get some sleep. That's all I used it for, and for that purpose it worked fine. Ease of Cleaning I don't know of any humidifiers that are really all that easy to clean. Moisture gets into every part of the unit, and it can linger long enough to attract spores. Some units claim to be germ resistant. This one has an antimicrobial filter that you will need to replace if you want it to stay germ free. Honeywell makes the replacement filters that will fit. The tank is easy to pull off and clean out. Durability I never had a problem with the Duracraft shorting out. The machine worked well for as long as I needed it to. It was still in working condition when I gave it away. Design This is a simple design that lets the steam out of a large vent on top of the unit. The tank comes off for easy cleaning and filling. It's got three settings: high, low and off. For its purpose, the design is just right.
