I will NOT buy this again. I actually gagged. What did they

I loved the old muffins. I made them constantly. I am 5'10" and 135 lbs. They did not make me fat and if they did, it would have been my choice. These new muffins are BAD!!!!YUK!!!! If you do not wish to sell the good ones, can you give us the recipe, since there are a lot of us who loved them.

bitter taste

Don't buy this product. I have made other brands and types of blueberry muffins before and I have never had them taste bitter. This Duncan Hines 100% whole grain blueberry streusel has a horrible bitter taste to it. If you make these, you will want to throw them out.

YUCK muffins

So disappointed that Duncan Hines turned a wonderful product, the Bakery Style Blueberry Muffins, into YUCK. I filed a complaint with Duncan Hines, and they sent me coupons for more free muffins. Go to their website and let them know what you think.

Steamy and Delicious, We Love Blueberry Muffins for Breakfast.

I know there's a big backlash against processed foods but sometimes a quick mix is the best solution.  Some mornings when you get up and decide you really want something hot and baked, you just don't have the time or inclination to bake from scratch.  That's where this mix comes in.  It's easy to make and really delicious.  To avoid wasting energy and heating up the kitchen unneccessarily, we use our small counter top toaster oven.  Grab a bowl, toss the ingredients and mix in.  Stir a bit.  Scoop into muffin tins.  Cover with the most delicious struessel topping anywhere, and bake for a few minutes.  If you're the first up and you get this done and in the oven, the others will all be up moments after the delicious smells rise to their bedrooms.  It's a great way to have your family meet at the breakfast table in the mornings and get their family fix before going their separate ways for the day.  And the hot, delicious meal in their tummies will provide them with the energy they need to make it to lunch, giving them a much better chance of having a productive morning. Try it, it's delicious!

Hate the 100% Whole Grain Blueberry Muffins!

1

I was extremely disappointed that Duncan Hines has chosen to replace the Blueberry Streusel Muffin Mix with 100% Whole Grain Blueberry Streusel Mix.  I believe they were trying to deceive us by taking the original off the shelf and putting the new one in its place.  I bought the Whole Grain thinking it was the original only to find it tasted like cardboard.  Yes, it's easy to make but what good does that do if it tastes bad.  I threw the whole batch away.  Duncan Hines needs to offer 2 choices instead of deciding for us by taking away the original.  Shame on you Duncan Hines.  Your 100% Whole Grain tastes like cardboard.

Whole grain were so bad I ended up feeding them to the dogs.

I have bought the regular blueberry streusel muffin mix for years.  It is my family's favorite, and their friends would come over just for the muffins.  I could not find the regular ones, so I tried the whole grain ones.  My husband and kids each took one bite, I ate half of one, and we gave the rest to the dogs.  I am very disappointed that I can't get the regular kind anymore.  Duncan Hines has really let down its consumers, and I can no longer make their favorite Saturday morning breakfast.

Duncan Hines 100% Whole Grain Blueberry muffins a real drag!

1

My mother and I bought the Duncan HInes 100% Whole Grain Blueberry Streusel muffin mix, thinking it wasn't any different from the original Blueberry Streusel muffin mix, but we were entirely wrong!  The first clue we got was that batter was **extremely** **bitter**, as if there was no sugar at all in it.  I can't find the right words to explain how bitter this batter was! When we baked them, we noticed the muffins didn't rise like they usually did, leaving only a **little molehill**.  One of the muffins was **entirely flat**!  The muffins didn't even have that sweet, fresh-baked smell when we pulled them out of the oven.  We took a bite of the finished product, only to find that they were** just as bitter** as the batter was!  Not even the streusel could sweeten them up; in fact, it was almost just as bitter!  They weren't soft and moist, either.  In fact, they left my mouth feeling **rather dry**.  We threw the batch out without even taking three bites from our individual muffins. Don't get me wrong, I like whole grain on my sandwhiches and in my cereals, but this just tasted plain awful!  No more Duncan Hines muffins for Mother and I until we can find the old recipe!

DH Whole Wheat Blueberry Streusel Muffins, a Big Disappoinment

1

Having baked DH Blueberry Streusel Muffins for years, I expected that the new whole wheat mix would be just as good; I could not have been more wrong. The new mix does not rise correctly and, where muffin tops would result before, only a modest hump in the middle of the muffin now exists after baking. Not only were the muffins wrong in density and texture but they lacked the depth of taste that existed in the previous mix recipe.

What happened to the original muffins?

1

Duncan Hines has to be losing money on this stupid switch.  The original muffins were moist and tasty.  These muffins are an affront to the world of muffin magic.  I'm so upset--where do I go for delicious muffins?  Definitely NOT the DH.  You have betrayed your loyal customers.  We turn our backs on all your whole grain products.  May God have mercy on your souls!
