I have tried Dr. Scholl's plantar wart remover and it has not been as helpful as I had hoped. The glue on the pads does not stick very well and comes off quickly, making it less effective. The chemicals on the the pad do have power though and do work on the wart, but the slippage of the pad detracts from it. Overall, works decently enough.

I run a lot, so when i developed plantar warts on the bottom of my feet, it presented a big problem, and a lot of discomfort. I didn't want to go to the doctor to have them cut out, so I figured I would try the over the counter product that Dr. Scholl's offers. After using a few of the different options, I would tell you to just save your time and money and go to the doctors. The pads that you can put over the wart do not remove them, even after using them for up to a month. They also make a product that is supposed to allow you to freeze them off, but this doesn't work either. The product...

I have been very happy with the success I have had using Dr. Sholl's planter wart remover. I have been taking dance and Karate classes a lot, and it seems that planter's warts come with the territory.  While it might take a few days of application to completely get rid of the warts, the remover is very effective, and just about pain free, depending on the size of the wart.

Worked on my daughter's wart after ONE application!

For several months my daughter had a weird callus growing near the nailbed on her left thumb.  I thought it was a tenacious dryness that just didn't want to heal and go away.  I used a couple products on it to no avail, so I ended up taking her to the pediatrician since it was starting to invade and disfigure her thumb's nailbed.  Her doctor immediately said it was a wart and did a treatment then and there with dry ice to freeze it.  She then said to come in after two weeks for a second treatment after the dead top layer fell off.  When we got home I researched online for wart treatments - now that I knew what that strange "callus" was - and to save on another trip to the doctor and our costly co-pay.  It had been many, many years since I treated myself with an obvious wart and quickly found new and more convenient wart removal applications beyond the drip of liquid from a dropper.  I checked out Dr Scholl's wart removers and decided the plantar application would do the trick for my daughter's hand.  The small pad of remover, along with a thin, elastic covering to secure the pad was it.  We followed the directions in the box and applied the pad on the remaining wart to be removed.  After 48 hours, as directed, we removed the covering and pad and waited.  Within several days the remaining wart fell off and after a couple weeks healthy skin grew in around my daughter's nail.  A month after application I was moisturizing my daughter's hands and couldn't remember which thumb the wart was on - it worked that well.  I am very pleased with this Dr Scholls product and would confidently recommend it to anyone dealing with these pervasive growths.

Months ago I noticed a small round spot that looked like a wart on the center part of the ball of my right foot.  I lived with it for a while, but then one day I saw Dr. Scholl's Plantar Wart Remover at the store and figured it was worth a try. This box contains 24 medicated discs and 24 cushioning pads.  The medicated discs are dark brown and about 1/4" in diameter.  The pads are tan, they measure 1" in diameter, and the outside of them fees like felt.  Both of these are very sticky, and the inside of the cusion has a cut out area that fits over the disc. The active ingredient in the discs is 40% salicylic acid, and the directions say to wash and dry the skin, stick the medicated disc over the plantar wart, stick the cushion over the disc, and repeat this process every 48 hours. When I made a visit to my dermatologist I asked him to look at the spot on my foot.  He said he wasn't sure it was a plantar wart, and he asked me what I had been doing to treat it.  I told him I was using Dr. Scholl's Plantar Wart Remover.  He asked me if it was working, and I explained that it does remove the top layer of the wart, but that it doesn't seem to get down under the surface of the skin.  My dermatologist recommended that I continue using the Dr. Scholl's product to keep the wart in check.  This product does work, but it takes time.  Eventually my wart was almost completely gone, but the skin around the wart also seemed to die.  It turned white and was easily peeled off.  I (like my Dr.) would recommend giving this product a try.
