I have subscribed to magazines through Discount Magazines for a number of years, both for myself and gift subscriptions but in recent years they have been unreliable. For example I have gift subscriptions that are automatically renewed every year. After paying for renewals year after year, I recently found out that they have not received their magazines for years. My "Locked in Discount" prices are not locked in because they constantly increase the subscription price. I have tried to cancel all subscriptions but they are "too busy" and will get back to me. What was once a good company is now a scam.

They did not provide product as advertised. False advertisement. Said subscription was 24 issues and come to find out that magazine doesn't even put out a monthly issue; it's usually every 2 months. Then the company switches to all digital which is not what I had ordered and now they won't refund me for at least part of the amount I paid. Very disappointing!

I'm not sure what all of these other reviews are saying. Honestly they must be fake. Check all of the complaints against them on the Better Business Bureau before making your decision. I purchased a ONE TIME subscription for my grandmother as a gift 8 years ago. She never received it, so I assumed it didn't go through. My bad. Fast forward 8 years later, she moved 5yrs ago and passed away 3 years ago. They deactivated the subscription, kept charging me. Charged me after 12 months, then again 12 months later, then again 7(!!!!) months later, then 12 months later they TRIPLED THE CHARGE!!! I know the tenants of the address they activated. NOT ONE MAGAZINE HAS BEEN RECEIVED. The representative said she doesn't have a manager, so I asked to speak with the owner. She promised me I would receive a call back from the CEO. Never got a call back. This company is a scam. They commit fraudulent activity if you let them get away with it. WATCH YOUR BILLING STATEMENTS or you'll be sorry.
