This vacuum deffinatly needs several improvements made to it before it can even be considered a vacuum. This is supposed to be a cordless vacuum however the fact that it is cordless makes this vacuum nothing but junk, the sweeper will not hold a charge after the first couple of times you use it and it is not worth the hassle by the time you have enough charge to finish the job you started the part of the floor you had already swept needs swept again. This thing is absolutly useless in my opinion, after the first two or three uses the cleaning time goes from 35 minutes to 10 minutes and it just goes downhill from there. While the battery still holds a charge this thing is stil, useless because it will not pick up anything, it even has trouble picking up the dust that you can see let alone the deep ground in dirt. I can tell you that if I had the option to give this vacuum a 0 you had better beleive I will this thing is nothing but junk from the time you purchase it from the store.

I saw this Dirt Devil vacuum and purchased it because of the convenience. It is small and cordless, making it easy to maneuver around the house. I also was looking for something to use in smaller areas of my house when I didn't want to bring out the larger vacuum just to quickly clean something up. I also like that this bag less as I can quickly dump out the contents without having to change the bag. I don't like paying that extra cost for bags. However there is a huge negative. I just did not find this vacuum to have any sucking power whatsoever. I tried it to clean up hair, crumbs, bits of dirt and just found it did a terrible job. It would maybe pick up like 1/3 of the debris and leave the rest. I would have to go over the area 4-5 times and it still didn't pick up everything. I was very disappointed because I like the design and convenience but because I just didn't find it it work well I would not recommend this Dirt Devil.

My apartment has mostly hardwood floors, but I do have a small carpeted room as well as a couple rugs. I didn't want to buy a full-sized vacuum, so I went for this one. I think for the price, it's a fantastic vacuum. The suction on hardwood is fantastic, and it's pretty good on carpet. The only problem I can think of is that it's pretty loud. Maneuverability This vacuum is so easy to move around, and is very light. Ease of Maintenance I haven't had to perform any maintenance so far. Suction Performance Suction is not as strong as a full-sized vacuum, obviously, but for the price and size, I'm very satisfied. Versatility I use the vacuum on both hardwood floors and carpet. It works great on hardwood. On carpet I sometimes have to run it over a few times to get everything, because the suction isn't super strong. Design This is a great looking little vacuum and is designed for maximum efficiency. Durability I haven't owned it for too long, but it has held up well and shows no signs of wear.

This was given to me as a gift. It works pretty good on thin, flat carpets but not so well on thicker, shaggier carpets. It's light, moves around pretty easy but the brushes get clogged easily. I'd recommend this for those people that have hardly any carpeting or just want to use it to clean their bare floors, such as tile, hard wood, linoleum. Maneuverability On thin carpets, it moves along great. On shaggier carpets, not so much. If you're using in on bare floors then there is no problem at all. Ease of Maintenance If you have really short hair or no hair, no problem. But if you're like me with long hair that sheds all the time, keep an eye on those brushes. I noticed that I had to clean the brushes out every time I changed rooms to clean. Also if you have pets keep an eye on the brushes, pet hair likes to attach to the brushes like white on rice. Suction Performance The first few times I used it, the suction power was great. After I used it a few times though I noticed that I wasn't picking up as much on the carpets. Versatility Can be used for both carpets and bare floors. I did notice that on the bare floors the dirt didn't get blown around as much as using my old vacuum. Durability If you're going to use it for just bare floors then great, but if you want to get your carpets clean, not so good. The suction loses power after about four months and the brushes really do not like hair. I blew a fan belt before I learned to clean the hair out of brushes after each floor is cleaned.

I like this vacuum. I was skeptical about it picking up cat liter (that is what I wanted to use if for). If you have cats, you will understand. It surprised me and picks up the litter very well. Lightweight and easy to clean. It also picks up dog/cat hair nicely. It's light enough to pick up to just suck up the hairs on couches and chairs!

We have pets. We have three pets. Having a small vacuum to pick up hair between regular cleaning was something i really wanted to help me out. So when i found out about the Dirt Devil Extreme Power Stick Vacuum I was excited. I thought it would be just what I needed. Not so much! It is easy to use and it does not weigh very much. I really like that a lot. it is easy to get out, fairly easy to maneuver around and it does not tire me out with how heavy it is. I also liked how easy it was to take care of. Emptying it was a breeze. Love that!! The thing I did not like is it really does not seem to have the suction it should. I felt like I had to go back and forth over areas way too many times to get things picked up. And if the canister was even a little full it was horrible. I felt like I was constantly emptying it. It ended up just being easier to just get out my big vacuum!

I've been through a lot of these types of vacs and this one is by far the best! Others have lasted me maybe a year but this one I have had for 4 years now and it's still going strong even through cleaning up after a 4 year old messy little boy! It's easy to use, easy to charge and very easy to empty and clean! Wasn't a fan of the red color that I purchased because I like thing in black but who cares when the vac is as good as this! I recommend this for everyone who wants a nice light vac that does the job :) Dirt Devil is the only brand I buy now after going through so many vacs that just were not worth the money...rest assured that this one is!

I usually buy bigger and more costly vacuums but for some reason I never really liked the ones i've gotten. When it was time for a new one, I got this small and cheap one, thinking it would hold me off until I could afford a better one. This Dirt Devil is really good! It really cleans everything and does a great job with it. It came with some attachments for it and i've used those to get into any space I need to. This vacuum is so light and easy to move around the house, and none of my family complain about having to vacuum. Being cordless is another great feature. With my old vacuums i'd always have to worry about dragging the cord around and getting caught up on things, but not with this one! Must buy!

We purchased this vacuum on a whim while shopping once. We have tile floors, but have rugs put on the floors, since our children love to play on the floors. Since we only have 2 rugs, I didn't want to purchase a real expensive vacuum for two rugs so we purchased this vacuum. It is a rather great vacuum. I love the fact that it is bag less. You never have to worry about vacuuming and realizing that you don't have bags. It is very light, a nice color, and really cleans out our rugs. Although, we don't have any heavy cleaning to do, just random gold fish crackers on the floors, I do believe that it cleans real well. And even best, the price is right! Maneuverability Very easy to move from room to room, or even from downstairs to upstairs. Ease of Maintenance Very easy to clean and empty canister. Suction Performance It is ok in the suction. But I have only used it on rugs, so not sure how well it would suction on a thick carpet. Versatility Very versatile and nice looking. Design Modern design. Not hard on the eyes. Durability Hold up well I believe. Very durable.

I bought this for my teenagers to use and my daughter took it with her to her college apartment. You have to keep it on the charge base to have a good long charge for vacuuming. It works fine for the price which is why I bought this. (It also came with a hand vac when I bought it - which is also convenient). It isn't s big dirt cup, but this really isn't meant for big whole house cleaning, but great for doing a room. Maneuverability It is nice not having a cord to work around while vacuuming. Ease of Maintenance So far no complaints. Suction Performance It is OK. I have other regular vacuums that have stronger suction, but for a vac on a charge it works fine. Versatility It doesn't really come with accessories so it really is just for vacuuming. Design Easy to slip in and out of charger. Nothing special as far as vac design. Durability So far it is fine.
