I used Denorex for over 10 years and it was the best shampoo I have ever used. Since the formula change it leaves an oily film on my entire body that must be washed off with soap. I am shocked that this great product was ruined.

This shampoo works wonders! I love it! I tend to alternate it with Selsun Blue because they have different active ingredients so my head doesn't build up resistance to one type, but as soon as I start to lather Denorex on my head, it's like I can feel it working. The smell isn't the greatest but it doesn't linger after my shower.

I have been battling scalp plaque psoriasis for over ten years now. I tried head and shoulders but it did nothing to take care of the psoriasis it only stopped the itching. This shampoo took away the scales and redness. I would recommend this product to anyone with psoriasis or dandruff. Effectiveness I was very surprised with how well this product worked. I usually leave it in for about ten minutes and then I rinse it out. The shampoo does burn while I have it in and my scalp is tender for a while after rinsing it so I do not use heat or blow dry my hair for a while after using it. Gets rid of the scales and the redness. Stops the itching and keeps my psoriasis at bay as long as I use this shampoo two or three times a week. Scent the smell is not the best. I will be completely honest it almost has a chemical smell but that is because of the coal tar. My hair never smells like it after I wash it out. Only while I have it on.

The coal tar makes it so you must wash your hair with another conditioner to cover the bad scent. Other than that, Denorex can be a great way to quell scalp issues.

Extra Strength Denorex 2 in 1 Shampoo plus Conditioner provides me with much relief from the bothersome itchy scalp caused by dandruff.  Denorex also saves me from the embarrassing dandruff flakes caused by a dry scalp.  I enjoy the way my scalp tingles when I shampoo with Denorex. It makes my hair and scalp feel clean and refreshed.  My hair is normally unruly  and out of control, but Denorex 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner helps to make my hair easier to manage.  I have tried other dandruff shampoos, but they do not compare with the effectiveness of dandruff control and itch relief I receive from using Denorex.  One downfall of Denorex is that it does not have as much of a pleasant smell as most other shampoos.  It has a medicine smell with a tarish odor. Denorex also costs more than most shelf brands, but it is worth the extra expense to have manageable hair without the itch and flakes.
