Went on the Dell website and researched laptop computers compared to other brands. For the price and functionallity of the Dell Inspiron 6000 it was cheaper and better compared to others. Really like the power saver functions when unplugged, helps save battery life when not near an outlet. Speakers give a great sound when playing my favorite songs or watching movies. The dvd/cd burner has been a real asset as I have downloaded and burned movies for my kids and music for my wife. The Dell Inspiron 6000 is WiFi ready or you can plug in to a wired router. Have used my in both ways and it works just as well either way. Usually take mine outside to listen to music when I'm doing yard work or just sitting out in the sun. I'm online with this computer everyday and it has not failed me yet. Anyone looking for a good affordable laptop should go to the website and look into this laptop and see if it is not for them.
