I like my vegetables to be slightly on the crunchy side and this one really comes through. It hasn't been cooked until it's soft and mushy like other products. I make a salad called "coditos" which is really elbow macaroni, a protein, and then some vegetables for flavor and crunch. Usually I buy regular whole kernel corn, which suffices, because in this recipe I don't have to heat it or cook it more. This corn stays crunchy and doesn't lose it's consistency even when you do heat it. I also used it as a side dish. It also tastes like you just went out and pulled it off the cob. I mean it tastes really fresh and good. I like Del Monte brand name items because I trust them for flavor, etc. This one is superior in every way. I love it.

Del Monte Summer Crisp Whole Kernel Golden Sweet Corn has a great flavor, without a lot of additives. I feel confident that I am serving a healthy choice to my family. I do not have to add butter or sugar to the corn while it is cooking, as I have had to do with other brands of corn.

Nothing beats the taste of fresh corn off of the cob, but Del Monte Summer Crisp Whole Kernel Golden Sweet Corn comes pretty close! This canned corn has a wonderfully fresh taste. It has a nice, natural sweet flavor. The corn looks beautiful-it has great color and looks like it is of very high quality. I love to serve this as a side to almost any dinner. It is also great to use in corn casserole, casseroles, soups, and other dishes. It is also very affordable!

I buy this corn quite often. It's a little more expensive then some brands and the can is smaller then normal, but this is very good corn. I have always enjoyed all of del monte products. I usually add butter, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese to this corn to give it even more flavor although it is very sweet and good by itself.

It seems that the can doesn't make its way to this corn... it just doesn't taste canned. It really tastes natural. Maybe the fact that there isn't much water or salt... that way the corn can fend for itself in the can instead of being bathed in somthing that it wasn't in to begin with... Love this stuff! No other packaged corn can compare... Yes NO OTHER. Randy

I love to eat vegetable, and this can is pure goodness.  I love to open up the can and heat the corn for a great side dish to any meal.  This is also the perfect vegetable to add to soups and casseroles because they have just the right amount of sweetness to add a great flavor to any vegetable dish.  The corn has a crunchy texture but is also sweet and crisp.  Each spoonful of corn tastes like it was freshly picked and is perfect with any meal.  Each ½ cup serving is only 70 calories and 1 gram of fat.  Many vegetables need flavor added, however this corn has just the right amount of sweet so no extra flavor is needed.  You will want to add this corn to your favorite dinner recipes, or just eat the corn by the can.  This corn tastes just like it was peeled from the cob.

I grew up in a family where we planted and harvested our own veggies.  Yep, and fresh corn was the way of it.  We harvested and 'home' canned, and froze veggies for the rest of the year.  This brand, of all the brands, comes closest to it.  Yep, now living closer to the city, where I cannot plant a garden, well, a couple of planters on the patio does have tomatoes and green peppers or such, but, nope, no corn. I find all of the Del Monte veggies a little bit sweeter than the the other brands.  Now ours from home was grown that way, all natural, no "adds" to the soil.  I do have to admit that I have tried most of 'all' of the brands in the stores I shop in, including the frozen ones.  Well, I need a bit of space in the freezer at times, but that's not why I get this brand of corn in the can.  It's truly good, and not all that salty at all.  Good show Del Monte!

Another grocery sale caught my eye. They had a good price on Del Monte. The Summer Crisp Whole Kernel Corn sounded good. The corn looked tasty on the label too - not that means much. This corn has very little water. Don't heat it up fast or high. Go low and slow. Once heated, the Summer Crisp corn surely does taste like home canned fresh corn. They don't put anything in the corn except a little salt for flavor. It's not much. I can't really taste it. I'm not a big salt eater, so I'd notice if they put a lot. This is good corn. I'll buy it again.
