Waking in the morning to fresh hot coffee is requirement for me and my Delonghi 12 cup coffee maker did it for me for years until it was knocked to the floor by a guest in my home and it smashed into the floor breaking into several pieces. The deep coffee basket let the brewing water slowly drip through the coffee grounds letting it extract as much as possible of the oils out of the coffee grounds. The only thing I did not like was cleaning the provided filter basket, but that was easily fixed by using a paper filter in it which would have slowed the brewing water resulting in even better extraction of the flavoring oils out of the coffee grounds. Brew Performance Brings out the best of any type of coffee grounds you wish to use. Ease of Cleaning The self=filtering basket it came with was difficult to clean, but just using a paper filter with it solves the problem. Ease of Use After I started using a paper filter along with the self-filtering basket it was one of the easiest I have ever used. Design Looked good on my kitchen counter. Durability It did not fair well when it smashed into the floor

My house could not function without my De Longhi 12-cup automatic coffee maker.  All I have to do is fill it with water, put coffee in it's permanent filter, set the time and go to bed.  When I wake up, my coffee is ready and if I forget to turn it off, no problem.  It will turn itself off after being idle for a period of time.

Being an avid coffee drinker, I have run the gamit from percolator to 1 cup personal coffee makers.  Over my many years of making and enjoying a good cup of coffee, I have had the coffee makers to burn out or just would not keep the coffee hot.  The Delonghi coffee maker I have now has been running steadily for 4 years.  I am not just talking the morning brew, but sometimes three pots a day.  This particular model has the programmable feature so your morning jolt of caffine is ready when you get up to greet the day.   Another feature is the "aroma" feature.  This feature makes the coffee at a slower rate, but it also makes the coffee a little stronger without using more coffee.  The cone shaped filter is my favorite because it allows you to get the flavor from all the coffee, since the water flows over all the coffee in the filter.  I grind my own beans and use a paper cone filter also, this filters out the oil from the coffee grounds. This is the second coffeemaker of this brand that I have owned.  The only thing I would change is, the system is plastic and I would prefer a chrome finish.  But then, I suppose the purchase price would be higher and the price of this particular model was comparable  to the other programmable brands.

This coffee pot keeps coffee hot all day long.  I can brew a pot in the morning and it is still hot  in the afternoon.  The only thing i don't like is that it leaks a bit when you pour the coffee out.

My morning coffee is important to me.  When my old coffee pot died I was heartbroken, in tears almost. I almost didn't buy this one.  But it had all the features I wanted; a timer and the cone basket.  I'm glad I bought it.  It makes great coffee and the plate doesn't get all gunky from our water like the cheaper ones did. I've had this pot for 4 months now and still love it.  The only downside is sometimes the basket doesn't close right.  It's not the cheapest pot out there, but it's not the most expensive.  It really works well and it's well worth the bit extra.

I have had unsatisfactory experiences with mazny coffee makers, and even though this one is a bit prices, I felt it was worth it. I really like that you can get a pot of coffee made quickly when I am ready, and I especially like that I can pour a cup before the pot is completely full, and then it continues to breww after you replace the pot. Its like having coffee instantly. The other great feaure is that it automaticlly shuts off after 2 hours . No more worries about leaving it plugged in. My only complaint is that it seems like the coffee doesn't stay as hot as I'd like in the pot.
