I have worked on several job sites with these Dewalt radios, and it ends up making the day much more enjoyable. They can pick up signals well; when a station has been in normal range we have never had a problem picking up the signal. It also has quality speakers. For some jobs we've had a lot of background noise going on from power tools and things like that. Although we don't turn it up loud enough for the person actually using the tools to hear it, we keep it loud enough that others who can hear the power tools are still able to hear the radio well and clearly. Even with the elevated volume, the speakers can still play music well without distortion in the sound or blowing the speakers out. The design of the radio also enables it to be protected well during use.
