I bought this dvd player many years ago. I bought one for my aunt and one for myeself. The one that I bought for my aunt died recently. The disc tray won't open no matter how I tried to fix it. There are a couple of good things about this player. It's very compact and small so you could basically place anywhere you want. This player is also region code free (need to do a hack using the remote control). That means it can play any dvd around the world. In addition, it also plays PAL dvds as well. That is very convenient for people who like to buy and watch dvds from overseas. Also, it can play mpg files that are saved on cdr(w)s and dvdr(w)s. Unfortunately, it won't play divx files though.  Another good thing about this dvd player is that, it can output dts sound (given that the dvd disc has dts) without the av receiver having dts output capability. The remote control has the worst design ever. It's has almost the size of a credit card. You can barely read the text or push the buttons on the remote control. From time to time, you will have to replace the cell battery in the remote. Sometimes, the player skips or won't play certain dvd discs. However, the picture and audio quality output from this player is very good.
