I love cooking but don't have a lot of money to spend on expensive kitchen tools so the Cuisinart Kitchen Choice 18 piece stainless steel knife block set is great! It's affordable but you still get decent quality knives! I love all of the different knives that this set comes with. There's knives for a variety of cutting needs including meats, vegetables, fruit, and cakes. I love the stainless steel of these knives, it matches well in my kitchen and it's dishwasher safe which is really great after I cut poultry with these knives because I'm always worried about food borne illnesses. They also maintain their color well even after years of frequent use. My only complaint is that I can never keep the bottom row of knives in order because they are not labeled. Overall I love the my Cuisinart knife set and would definitely recommend it to beginner cooks to more advanced ones! This knife set has really held up well for 3 years now, they're extremely durable!

I absolutely love these knife set! I've had them for a few months, and they are the best ones I've ever had the pleasure of using. Not only are they sleek looking, they cut anything perfectly. The steak knives are one of my favorites, with others I've had you would have to saw your food a bit (probably cause they were older), but with these, they cut everything like butter.

My husband and I bought these knives not long after we got married. They were perfect at first--nice and sharp. They have served us fairly well these past five years, but I have noticed that recently they tend to dull more and more quickly as time goes on. We use them daily, and I use either bamboo or plastic cutting boards that shouldn't contribute to dulling the knives. We ended up buying a knife sharpener that works really well, and if we use it pretty regularly, the knives stay sharp. Our set looks a little different from the one in the picture, but I love how the steak knives aren't serrated. I use them as extra paring/slicing knives. The only other thing I have to complain about with these knives is that the plastic casing on the knife handle has cracked on several of the knives, leading chunks to break off. I notice in this picture, though, that the newer models appear to have metal handles, so this wouldn't be an issue.

This is a great knife set. I absolutely love it! I've had it about a month now, so still fairly new. I use them every day; love to cook. They cut well. The handles fit nicely in your hands and make it easier to work and cut. The block is great quality. I have had no rust issues as I did after 2 weeks of use with my Kitchen Aid set. This is all in all a great set. You will not be disappointed. Well worth the money you put into it. Color is great; matches a lot of decors. I love that it comes with scissors as I use them often. My only drawback is that I wish it came with more knives. I wish I had upgraded to the bigger set, as I use knives so very often. So, definately get the bigger set. You will love this set!

This set of knives has been invaluable to my cooking for the past three years. I am no professional chef and I'm sure someone with actual experience could find faults with these blades but I can't. They are sharp and there is enough variety that I can always cut whatever I need to. The inclusion of a knife sharpener has, I think, kept these knives cutting like they day we brought them home. I have yet to find anything too difficult. They are very easy to clean even though I don't put them in the dishwasher. There are enough kinves that they can handle just about anything you can throw at them, from frozen chicken to soft bread. The one gripe I have with the set is that the scissors locked up before very long. They are extremely hard to open and close and I find myself not using them. The block itself is of good quality and being black helps to hide all of the tiny little pock marks that scar the surface after a few years of taking the knives out and putting them back in. I never cook without these.
