Great cut and time saving, but has a few flaws

4

I went all out a few years ago and purchased this machine for three grand at Home Depot. It is a good machine with a great cut. It is fast and you don't have to do any back tracking. Has a huge cut and really saves time from a traditional mower. But, it wasn't long before the front tires began to go flat on a regular basis. Pretty soon, they were no good at all and had to be replaced. It is a faulty design that resulted in my tires rubbing metal and wearing out. Not too long after that my deck belt broke and once again I learn that this is a common problem with this type of mower. Another thing I really don't like about this mower is that there is no gas gauge. So many times I have ran out of gas on the other side of the yard and had to walk all the way back to the garage to get the can. It's so aggervating. I think the newer models may have a gas gauge now. But, be sure to check before you buy. Other than the above drawbacks, I love the mower. It's easy to use, handles well, comfortable, and does a good cut.

Commercial Cub Cadent tanks are the only way to go.

I bought this Cub Cadet 60" commercial mower and have used it for 2 full seasons.  It is used primarily for mowing a large field, about 5 acres of bottom land.  The first time out on the mower was a real test.  The weeds and brush were over 6 feet high in places.  Amazingly, the mower plowed right through it.  Not like a tractor would, but it was able to handle it.  I had to go over the field a couple of times to make it look like a golf course and now I keep on top of it.  While I wouldn't recommend mowing through stuff like that on an everyday basis, it does go to show that this mower is very powerful and can handle pretty much everything you throw at it.  Like every zero turn, you have to be careful when making turns if you are worried about tearing up the turf.  Making wider and/or slower turns will prevent any damage from the back tires.  I have done minimal maintenance on this mower, but everything seems easy enough, from changing flat tires, air filters (super easy), and oil.  If you keep up with it, this thing will last forever!

Worth the price

I was skeptical when my husband wanted to buy a zero-turn mower, but it has made cutting the grass SO easy that what usually took an hour and a half now takes forty-five minutes. With the extra time, my husband is even using the trimmer around the fence and house more. Great product if you have a lot of trees, bedding plants, and a fence all around the yard.

the most efficient way to mow

5

The Cub Cadet zero turn radius riding lawn mower has made my life so much easier.  I live on a 50 acre farm. It used to take us two days to mow everything that needed to be done.  Our old craftsman couldn't get the job done.  There was always something wrong with it.  This new mower has saved us so much time.  With a wider deck and a zero turn radius, we don't have to circle around to mow the same path over again.  Our yard looks just like a baseball diamond after it has been mowed.  So neatly cut.  You can see the stripes, because the deck has rollers made for just that effect.  I've had it for two years and haven't had a problem yet.  It goes so much faster than other mowers.  It is so powerful it can cut the longest grass on the property.  Since it is so durable, steep hills are easy to mow.  I don't have to worry about rolling over.  It has cut our mowing time by so much.  It only takes around three hours and I actually enjoy doing it!
