Great toothpaste

5

When I started having sensitive teeth about 5 years ago, my dentist recommended a sensitive toothpaste formulation along with Act mouthwash. I have tried Sensodyne and the Colgate version, but Crest Sensitivity tastes far, far better. The others taste chalky and bland to me. Crest tastes great and leaves a fresh taste in my mouth. My new toothcare regime has prevented the sensitivity from getting worse. I consider that successful. (If your teeth are very sensitive, to begin with, you may need the extra strength fluoride toothpaste from the dentist and a calcium toothpaste to help re-mineralize some of the spots. That is what I had to do at first. Once I had done this, I went to what I consider my maintenance regimen--Crest Sensitivity and Act.) The best thing to do is prevent the acid erosion in the first place. And get proper dental care all along. Then, if you still develop tooth sensitivity, use Crest Sensitivity. Your teeth will thank you.

Sensitivity...BE GONE!

I know I gave this product an "8" right out the gate but it has to do with the flavor versus it's ability to soothe my sensitive teeth. I have tried several products for sensitive teeth but this one is the best so far. It truly does reduce and almost eliminates my tooth sensitivity as I brush. It seems to have an ingredient that "numbs" them as I brush with encourages longer brushing time. If you have sensitive teeth, this may be a product for you to try. The "8" comes from the flavor. I don't mind it but it's not a favorite but because I prefer spearmint flavors over the traditional mind ones. But, because it's so wonderful at keeping that tooth sensitivity to a minimum and encourages my brushing for longer periods of time, I will continue to use it. I only hope that they come out with a fantastic spearmint flavor that is similar to the Colgate spearmint products. That would make my day!

Sometimes I have problems with sensitive teeth, especially after I use teeth whiteners. For some reason, they make my teeth very sensitive to heat and cold, so I tried out Crest Sensitive Toothpast to keep my teeth from being bothered by the toothpaste. This toothpaste kept my teeth clean and did not cause any additional sensitivity in my teeth. It didn't completely eliminate my teeth sensitivity caused by white strips, but I think it did help in preventing me from having further teeth sensitivity. The flavor of this was good-it was a minty flavor. It was not an overpowering flavor, as toothpaste can sometimes have. It did not leave any type of bad aftertaste in my mouth when I was done brushing my teeth. It kept my mouth feeling clean throughout the entire day. This toothpaste was not any more expensive than other toothpastes are, and it was easy to find at my local grocery store. I like the convenience aspect that you can find this toothpaste at any grocery store or larger pharmacy.

Does an excellent job of protecting sensitive teeth!

5

I have been using Sensitive brand toothpastes for many years now. Because they tend to be a bit on the pricey side, I am always willing to switch brands to get one that is a lower price. I have quite often used Crest Sensitive toothpaste, and I am very happy with this product. It is not nearly as expensive as some of the higher end sensitivity toothpastes, but it does just as good of a job at protecting my teeth. Some sensitivity toothpastes have left an odd aftertaste in my mouth. Not only does Crest not leave that strange aftertaste, but it leaves a pleasant minty taste instead. I feel like my teeth are very thoroughly cleaned, and the toothpaste is mild enough to not irritate the sensitive areas. The tubes are a bit small, so they don't last as long as other brands, but the price is usually a bit lower, or often with a sale you can get a good deal on Crest. The tube is sturdy, built well, and has an easy snap on/off attached lid. It only takes a very small amount to do a thorough job. I will continue to use this product and highly recommend it.

Great for my sensitive teeth

I have used Crest Sensitive Toothpaste for many years on and off while trying out other sensitive toothpaste brands and always seem to come back to crest. It definitely works for me and reduced my sensitivity after a month. If you have sensitive teeth then I would at least try it.

Best sensitivity toothpaste on the market!

5

I use Crest Sensitivity Clinical Sensitivity Relief with Extra Whitening every single day, three times a day. It is the best and most effective sensitive toothpaste on the market. I truly believe that it works a lot better the Sensodyne or Colgate, at least for me it does. I have really sensitive teeth and decided to start using this toothpaste. It really does help a lot, also if you use the Crest florid that will help even more! It whitens teeth by gently removing the stains, fights cavities, removes plaque, freshens breath, sooths the nerves in your teeth and builds a protection against painful sensitivity. It also tastes great and very smooth. The only downside is that they should make a larger tube of this toothpaste; I seem to go through a lot it pretty fast. To get the best results you need to use it daily, it will help your sensitive teeth, prevent cavities, give your mouth an overall clean feeling and really gentle on your gums. Give it a try!

Finally an alternative to Sensodyne!

4

It's taken a long time for toothpaste companies to come out with something that was comparable to Sensodyne and I'm thrilled to say that they have finally broken that barrier! I have sensitive teeth and hate it! I always wished there was an alternate to using that same, disgusting paste that I have been forced into purchasing my entire life. I buy others but always keep it on hand for those particularly bad days. But thanks to Crest, there is a new guy in town and he's a great competitor. The flavor is great and it works just as well as the competitor that's been on the market much longer. The price is reasonable and comparable to Sensodyne. I recommend this paste to anyone to have on hand in case!

Best sensitivity toothpaste I have tried.

5

I have used a number of sensitivity toothpastes -- brands aimed at people who are sensitive to hot and cold -- over the past year after developing dental sensitivity after sub-standard care for cavities. This has been one bright spot in a year of terrible dental issues. This toothpaste works really well and I've noticed way less sensitivity on days when I use it versus days when I don't. The protection also builds over time so using it for four or five days a week gives me benefits even on off days. It is important to switch between a toothpaste like this and a normal toothpaste, from what I understand, because some of the chemicals used to protect your teeth can also cause stains or discoloration. Definitely ask your dentist about using this kind of toothpaste and make sure to floss along with brushing!! Also, keep in mind that dentists can intervene when extreme sensitivty is present. If this toothpaste doesn't help, you may need further treatment.

I love Crest Sensitivity toothpaste!

5

I have really sensitive teeth. Everything from cold, hot, and even touch hurts. Most of the time, it's painful for me to brush my teeth because the toothpaste is far too minty, and too strong, that it hurts as soon as it touches my teeth. However, when I use this toothpaste, it is not painful at all. It's really gentle, yet effective cleaning. There isn't a wide variety of flavors, but to actually be able to brush my teeth with no pain, I don't mind. It helps with the sensitivity issues, along with helps prevent cavities and fight gingevitis. Along with helping to rebuild enamel. There is not another toothpaste out there that I can say that I love as much as I do with Crest. Even Sensodyne has nothing on this. The price for Crest Sensitive toothpaste isn't too awfully bad, but it's still quite a bit higher than if you were to purchase the regular kind. Still, it's worth every penny.

Crest Sensitive toothpaste helps with my sensitive teeth

5

I use this toothpaste daily, I've tried other toothpastes, and my husband and I both agree this is our favorite. The flavor is minty and easy on the tastebuds without being too overpowering. The texture of the toothpaste itself is not chalky like some toothpastes. It is more like a gel, and has little white granules in it that I think help with the whitening. Crest is a trusted brand in our house, and was recommended to us by our dentist as an inexpensive alternative to higher priced sensitive toothpastes. It does not prevent all the pain associated with tooth sensitivity, but here is a noticable difference between this and a normal toothpaste. Drinking cold water, or hot foods are less painful, but it does not completely numb the irritation. Crest Sensitivity toothpaste is great at leaving my mouth feeling fresh, and the clean feeling does last until lunchtime most days. We use it with manual toothbrushes, and it seems to help keep our teeth whiter than a non-whitening toothpaste would. I would say it as effective as more expensive sensitive toothpastes and I would recommend it to anybody.
