Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse Fresh Mint is a wonderful product! Using this product made my teeth and mouth feel cleaner than when I tried other brands. It has a great taste, and the clean feeling lasts for several hours; much longer than other rinses lasted.

Got a cavity...

2

I decided to use this product and give it a try. It says on the bottle "better dental checkups." After brushing, flossing and using this mouthwash... I got a cavity after 15 years! I thought it was ironic that a bottle claming to give a better checkup did the opposite. I wrote the company and even explained my frustration. I figured they deserved to know that I did not have a better checkup. Not only did I feel it did not work, the mint flavor is STRONG! I would have the aftertaste last quite a while. I like mint, but this was horrible. I used other Crest mouthwashes before this one and wondered why I switched. I went back to another product and it worked better and my dental checkups were fine. No cavities! Do not let the "better dental checkups" suck you in. Buy another product from Crest. You will not be disappointed and you will actually have better results from it, I know I did!

great mouthwash

i bought this mouthwash because it was on sale and i wanted to try out a different kind of mouthwash from the one i was using currently. a big plus for me was that it doesnt contain alcohol, since for religious reasons i cant use anything containing alcohol. also alcohol based mouthwashes are kind of harsher in flavor and not good for those with sensitive mouths. this product has a good taste as well, a clean mint, like that of gum and not very artificial. also its purple and who doesnt like a good purple mouthwash? i trust the crest family of products, and this has lived up to its name. its effective, and i feel like my mouth is cleaner as a result. its also dentist recommended. though i had a coupon this time, i like it enough to pay full price for it next time i run out.

Horrible taste in my mouth for hours

1

The bottle says not to eat or drink for 30 minutes after using. I used the rinse 3 hours before dinner, and the mouthwash/mint flavor wouldn't go away. Everything at dinner tasted like mouthwash -- I tried rinsing my mouth with water, Coke, brushing my teeth again ... it was a huge waste of dinner. After 6 hours on my way to bed, my mouth still tasted awful like the rinse. Terrible.

It's okay, but I like Plax better

3

Having used Plax in the past, with good results, I thought I'd try Crest Pro-Health Anticavity Fluoride Rinse, since it was on sale at Longs (and since I happened to be all out of Plax, which wasn't on sale). I usually use Crest toothpaste, so I figured this would be a quality product. It may just be my personal preference, but I'm not all that impressed. For one thing, I don't like the "cool mint" taste. It's a bit too strong for me, so after swishing it around "vigorously" for a full minute, I'm more than ready to spit it out. Unfortunately, the taste remains in my mouth, since (as I understand the directions) you aren't supposed to rinse your mouth with water after. You also aren't supposed to eat or drink for a full 30 minutes, which means you're basically stuck with the taste. Blegh! The good thing about Plax was that you rinsed BEFORE brushing, to loosen up the plaque, so you weren't left with any of the wash in your mouth afterward. I also notice that after using Crest Pro-Health at night, my mouth isn't as "fresh" in the morning as it was when I used Plax. So next time Plax is on sale, I'm going back to that. I can't say which one is more effective in preventing cavities, since I rarely get cavities anyway.

Crest Pro-Health Rinse has been a success at our house!

I always bought the most inexpensive mouthwash I could find, assuming that they were all the same. After I began couponing, I started purchasing the more expensive name brands to see how they worked. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried the Crest Pro-Health Rinse. I was used to the no name mouthwash that burned your mouth when you used it. I always had to put a little water with it to dilute it so I could keep it in my mouth long enough to work. When I used the Crest Rinse I found that it didn't burn at all, and I could easily leave it in my mouth the entire time. The rest of my family is now more interested in using the Crest Rinse than they ever were about using the no name brands. They just couldn't stand the burn of the alcohol in them. Crest Pro-Health Rinse is alcohol free, so there is no burn. There's something to be said for spending a little more on quality.

Rinse Your Teeth Troubles Away

4

I started using oral rinses when I wore braces several years ago. I think it is an extra step we can take every day to keep our gums and teeth healthy. The Crest Pro-Health line includes many oral rinses that address various issues connected with the teeth and mouth. Although I use just about all of them, I am now using this Clean Mint one. This anticavity flouride rinse is intended to strengthen tooth enamel, while it also helps prevent cavities. It also kills germs and leaves you with very fresh breath. There is no alcohol in this rinse, so you do not experience the burn you sometimes get with others, especially certain store brand rinses. Naturally, Crest suggests pairing this with their Pro-Health toothpaste, to get the full benefit from this line. Even though the dental hygienist at my dentist's office tried to tell me that dental rinses do not do anything for us, I am going to continue using them. I happen to think they are effective.

Crest Pro-Health is great

4

I have been using Crest Pro-Health for a while now and I am pleased with the product. I have not had very good luck with my teeth since I was pregnant with my daughter and now it is costing an arm and a leg to restore the damage done during pregnancy. The dentist has me using prescription flouride, an antiseptic mouth wash, and I also use Crest Pro Health once a day for it's cavity protection and for the exxtra flouride. Even though I use prescription flouride I live in the country now and no longer have flouride in my water so I need the extra flouride to try restore damage done to my teeth. At my last dentist appointment she said that the plan we are using is working and I have to say that I believe a lot of that is because I use Crest Pro-Health. Not only is it protecting my teeth it leaves my mouth feeling clean. The taste is great and I love that it does not burn like the antiseptic mouth wash I use does. Crest always provides great products and I feel that it is a very trusted brand. If I am having such great results with the issues I have I am sure it is a great product for the average person.

Mouthwashes are really cool they give me a feeling of "done" to my morning and have me ready to face the world head on! This one however lacks many of the things I like about mouthwash leaving me feeling disappointed each time I fill a cap, slosh ,and spit. I bought this a couple months ago and it's been dying slowly next to my green toothbrush. I personally like to "feel the burn" in the morning and enjoy a fresh breath after my cup of coffee. Maybe this is just the future and I'm slow to drink the Kool-Aid, but for right now I'm disappointed with the taste(my favorite color is purple and maybe that's why I bought it), the after breath seems to fade instantly, and my teeth don't feel any cleaner:( If your girl or a little kid maybe the lack of burn is a plus ,but for me it used to be like a splash of cold water on my face, nice in small doses:) I can't think of any reason TO buy this mouthwash, and that alone seems to say it all.

Crest Pro-health anticavity rinse has a nice taste & no burn

3

I bought this Crest Pro-health complete flouride rinse for myself and my older children who are all having trouble with cavities and/or enamel weakening. The dentist recommended a flouride rinse and this one was on sale so I tried this first.  So far, so good, but we haven't had our next dentist appointments yet to really see if it is helping in that way or not.  It tastes good and it doesn't contain alcohol so there is no burning sensation to deal with.  I mean, what good is mouth wash that burns so much you can't bare to keep it in your mouth the alloted time?  So, it's easy to swish it around for 1-2 minutes.  It does freshen breath as well and as far as I can tell, it is doing what it is supossed to do.  However, I do have a complaint and that is that it contains several types of parabens.  I avoid these preserving chemicals like the plague and never thought about reading the label to check for them before buying mouthwash!  Usually I find them in skin care/cosmetic type items.  Anyway, so for that reason alone, I will probably try finding a different flouride rinse in the future.
