Nice concept but too small!

4

I loved the idea of this product. Having a small marker seemed ingenious to me at first. The washable part is the TOP NOTCH thinking of this product. Any product that a child can use that will not stain their clothing is wonderful for me! Also to know that if she gets it on something else, like my carpet, it will come out easy enough. My complaint is that they are just way too small for my daughter to use...it does not fit comfortably in her hand for ease of use. The colors are bright and it does not smear too bad. I sometimes worry about the smearing when something is washable. We still use them for projects but they are not what I thought when I got them. My mind did not think of the fit to her hand only that they were small and that would be nice! So these markers are a great purchase for any child that can hold them comfortably, just not for us! So be creative if you get them and have fun!

Not that easy to hold for adults/older kids

These are really short, hence the name Pip-squeaks. They work as well as the standard Crayola washable markers, but since they're shorter, they have less ink, making them not last as long either. The shortness of the marker also makes for older kids and adults to have a hard time with it, so if you want to color with your child, these aren't the ideal markers for that.

Get Your Toddler Coloring with Crayola Pip-Squeaks!

I was totally against the idea of using markers with my 21-month-old son, but he would get too frustrated with how hard he had to push on crayons to get them to color (I do not know if that is normal for a one year old or not, since he is my first). Anyhow, I had never seen short markers like this, and they were washable, so I gave them a try. Suddenly, he seemed to love to color! The ink came right off his hands (and high chair) with regular baby wipes, so cleaning up was no big deal. I did, however, tape down some big sheets of paper beneath the coloring sheets, to protect our nice table. and I gave them to him, one at a time, lighter colors first (so the yellow didn't get to looking like black the first time out of the box!). One complaint is that the caps are not easy for him to put on and off, but I don't know that they could do that without sacrificing the price and/or the integrity of the marker (allowing it to stay "fresh" instead of drying out). I would highly recommend this product for your toddler's first coloring experience!

Crayola Pip Squeak Markers

I like these are wonderfull markers for my 3 and 4 year old children. We have rediculous amounts of craft supplies and these are their favorite markers. The only down side is they have alot of trouble closing the lids on them. They are too tight for their little hands.

Washable and Fun!

My mother got the Pip Squeaks tower for Christmas last year.  It is a great product, because it has tons of markers, so we were able to get rid of all the other miscellaneous markers we had laying around.  The tower keeps everything organized, and you don't have to worry about a bunch of markers getting dried out or lost.  The caddy looks good and is easy for the kids to put the markers away in. The Pip Squeaks are a great size, just right for toddlers.  I think since they are washable, they are even less mess than crayons!  I now let my 18 month old toddler use them also.  There are a lot of bright colors and they have yet to dry out.  My daughter likes to stack them together to make longer sticks, and sometimes they don't stay together too well.  They are easy for them to get the tops on and off, and put on the back of the marker for easier use. We have had marker get on many surfaces, from windows, to carpet, to bedspreads.  This washable marker has come out of all those surfaces so far!  They also wash off of little hands and faces easily.

Define Washable

My kids seem to get these all the time as gifts. I guess everyone assumes you can't go wrong with craft supplies for a gift. These are smaller sized markers that claim to be washable. Some colors do wash off very easily and surely deserve a 5 stars rating. However, some colors are not all that washable. My kids have ruined clothing a few times with these markers, so be forewarned to not just let your child color without protecting their clothing (or your furniture) well. The red shades are the worst and I have even had to use a bit of bleach water on my kids' hands in an effort to rid them of 'red hands' from these markers. I gave them a 3 stars because the colors are bright and bold and seem to dry out less then other markers were have purchased , just don't trust the "washability" that they tout. The price is decent and you can find them easily in any store.  If your kids like to color that these are as good as any other brand though.

Fantastic Crayola marker quality miniaturized!

We have had of the Crayola Pipsqueak markets for our 2 1/2 year old for about six months. They are fantastic quality, like all the Crayola markers we have. The size is great for smaller hands, they're easy to grib and something about making anything smaller makes them all of the sudden cute and more appealling to a toddler! They come in a large package with a large variety of colors, opposed to the standard eight basic colors, which is nice. The colors are all very vibrant and the markers write very well. We haven't had any dry out, wear out or otherwise deteriorate yet and they are used frequently, often with the caps left off for awhile. My husband and I also enjoy joining in coloring with this set since they work so nicely! As with other crayola markers, they're washable and unlike other brands of marker, they actually wash off when accidents occur and they wind up on clothing. I won't buy any other brands any  more as it isn't worth the damaged clothing. Definitely grab a set for your little one, washable markers are a great big-kid step up from crayons that they will really enjoy!

GREAT! we love these!

My niece brought over her brand new package of pip-squeak markers.  My girls, twenty seven months, and eleven months, were excited to jump right in and color.  I was worried, as some washable markers are very hard to get out, but gave in anyhow. After coloring for a very long time, the girls were having so much fun!  They enjoyed the range of colors that were provided, and the small size made them perfect for little hands to hold, open, close, and control.  Their pictures were adorable, and the markers did not leak through the coloring book pages. Then came time to clean up.  They were having so much fun, there was marker everywhere!  On the highchair, shirts, socks, and even on themselves!  All it took was a warm wet washcloth to get the marker off of their skin, and the furniture.  It even came off the hard wood floor with NO cleaners!  I was worried about the clothing, but a quick rinse in the sink proved that the markers were true washable markers.  I had the marks removed with just a quick rinse in warm water!   These are GREAT!

Save yourself money in the long run with this fun product!

My child got these crayolas in a caddy for his birthday.  Speaking as a mom who is used to going through a pack of crayons a week because my little one presses down too hard and breaks his crayons, this product is great.  Now no more broken crayons!  No more mess and you have to love the wash off factor!  I have a little artist on my hands and sometimes his canvas is my walls, furniture and yes shoes! These are a lot of fun and a great buy. They are a little pricey but in the long run they have actually saved me money!
