I purchased this vacuum for my husband for Christmas last year and he absolutely loves it. It was one of the cheaper vacuums, but it was a lot of bang for the buck and I am impressed with it. I actually think that I use this wet/dry vacuum more than my husband does. I like to use it to vacuum out the interior of my car and floor mats. I use it for big messes or spills in the house also. My husband said that it could be a little bigger and he would like it better. It does need to be emptied often to keep the suction at its maximum. I thought this was just a standard procedure to keep up the maintenance on a vacuum, but either way I still enjoy using it for big jobs indoors. The Craftsman vacuum does suck up liquids well, and with little effort and time. The hose is a medium length and there is a lot of cord to allow movement and this is what I like best about it. My husband has used the vacuum to suck up saw dust, metal shavings, small leaves, and small rocks. It still runs well and I would recommend it to anyone who is on a tight budget and who needs a shop vacuum. I have recommended this to my friends and family as well. I know that I will be looking for the brand Crafstman for any future purchases I need to make including hardware or tools for myself and my husband.

My husband bought one of these for our garage and we have used it a lot. He does assorted woodworking and our garage gets messy. It sucks up just about anything, wet or dry. I have used it on the concrete floor in the garage, and for the carpets in our cars. It is absolutely wonderful for spills on carpets. I have had my kids spill liquids on the floor or seat of our car and this sucks it right up. It does a good job on the dirty car floors especially when winter crud and snow gets dragged in. I get a lot of uses out of our shop VAC, and they are definitely handy to have. It has a pretty high rate of suction. Suction Performance The suction is great and I have used it to suck up a lot of things I can't use my household vaccum on like broken glass, Christmas glass balls, and wet things. Versatility I think every garage can benefit from owning one of these. They are good for construction sites as well. Durability I've hit ours with the car and sucked up a lot of stuff with it, and it's still working as well as it did the day we bought it.

I have been very pleased with my craftsman shop vac. I use it a lot. Its a good price for a long lasting and powerful vacuum. Maneuverability It has swivel wheels on the bottom which makes it very easy to maneuver around. Ease of Maintenance I haven't really had to do a whole lot of maintenance on mine. I use it for a lot of messy clean ups so it is a little dirty but I keep it in the garage so it doesn't matter to me. As far as having to fix it, the only thing I had to fix was one of the hoses. Luckily they sell replacement parts at the hardware store. Suction Performance This vacuum is powerful. I use it so much to do so much. I even use it to clean out my vacuum for the inside of the house. Design I like the design and I think it works great so I'm happy with it. Durability I have had mine for 5 years now and it is still working great and has held up through a lot. Our basement had some water in it and we used it to get rid of the water. My son's karate studio also flooded one weekend and they borrowed it to do the same thing.

Overall I am thoroughly impressed with the Craftsman XSP 12 Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vac. Our basement flooded this past summer after a torrential downpour and I honestly do not know what I would have done if it weren't for the purchase of this wet/dry vacuum. I had so much debris and water damage that I didn't even know where to start but having the Craftsman XSP made it a little less overwhelming. Maneuverability The only downside with the Craftsman XSP is that it is a little hard to maneuver around although you wouldn't think so with the pivoting wheels but sometimes (like a rusty old shopping cart at the grocery store) it just doesn't pivot on it's little wheels correctly. Other than that, money well spent! Ease of Maintenance This wet/dry vac is pretty easy to clean versus one's similar to it that I have used in the past. It has a pretty large tank with a large draining opening so everything that gets sucked up into it (whether it be water, debris or both) comes out fairly easy and quickly. Suction Performance This vac has super strenght, I swear! There isn't one piece of debris that I originally thought was too big that I haven't been able to suck up with this vacuum! Also, when it comes to water it sucks it up super fast and efficiently. I am impressed every time I use it. Versatility I love that it converts from a vacuum to a blower. After I sucked up the water out of the basement and any small pieces of the dirt wall and other debris then I converted it and blew the bigger pieces of debris right out the basement door! I love that the extender hose is so long because I can continue to keep reaching without having to constantly move the actual vac with me. Design It's got a little bit of cross between old school and modern design. It reminds me of the same black and red Craftsman "shop vac" my dad used to use when I was growing up but now it has more innovative features and buttons. I like that Craftsman kept it original though because I remember how much my dad loved his as I was growing up and now I have my own that I love a well. Durability The Craftsman XSP 12 Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vac is built to last; that's for sure! It takes in a lot and blows out a lot and gets pushed around, knocked over and gets filthy but at the end of the day when it's all cleaned out and cleaned up, it's still in great cosmetic and functioning condition.

I am absolutely amazed at how powerful and useful the Craftsman XSP 12 Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet and Dry Vacuum is. I use this vacuum for so many different jobs around my home. This was a great purchase. My basement has carpet in one room and it gets wet near the wall where a window is. I use this vacuum and it sucks the water right out of the carpet. I also use it to suck up the leaves on my sidewalk and around my home. Maneuverability The only complaint I have is that the wheels don't lock. It's lightweight and easy to transport from one room to another. Ease of Maintenance It is very simple to take apart and clean and then put it back together again. Suction Performance I am still amazed at how powerful this vacuum is. I wasn't expecting much for the price so it was a nice surprise when it really lifted all of the water out of the carpet in my basement. Versatility I use it both indoors and outdoors. Design I love the design of Craftsman products. Durability I have banged this vacuum a few times trying to transport it from room to room, but it still works like new!

I work in a tire manufacturing facility and one of the products used to make tires is a black, dusty material that gets everywhere. No matter what you do, the dust ends up throughout the entire plant. We used to try sweeping the floors in my area ten times a day, but no matter how well you thought you did, you could never get all of it up. The dust was starting to affect my allergies, so I had to find something different, or find another job. So my boss ordered us a Wet/Dry Vac to use instead. I was a little skeptical because I wasn't sure that the Vac would be able to get all the dust, nor did I think it would actually last very long. We have been using this Vac for close to 2 years now, and it still works as well as it did when we first got it. We use it everyday, so it has gotten a workout. We have had to buy a couple of filters for it, even though they are washable, but I attribute that to the dust that we are having to deal with. But I would recommend this because it does pick up very well and lasts. Maneuverability It is a little bulky at times. Durability I've had over 2 years, and still works great

This is one of the best heavy duty vacuums that I have ever used and I will highly recommend this to anyone who wants to thoroughly clean carpets or other surfaces in the home. I own a rental property that I like to deep clean and I use this to clean the carpets before a new tenant moves in. This sucks up any debris left on the carpet and does a great job deep penetrating the carpet! The hose is incredibly flexible so I can clean any hard to reach area. The large bucket hold a lot of debris, so I do not have to constantly empty the bin of waste. This vacuum also has the capability to clean the car as well! I've used this vacuum to give the interior of my car a thorough cleaning that I would have to pay at a fancy car cleaning establishment. I highly recommend it for a good cleaning. Maneuverability You can clean any surface with the flexible hose. Ease of Maintenance Easy to empty the bin so I do not get the debris on me. Suction Performance This cleans any surface and works well on the interior of my car too! Versatility Cleans any carpet surface including my car! Design Wonderful attractive design. This 5.5 HP Craftsman shop vac is amazingly powerful and I use it all the time for a variety of tasks. I could not live as comfortably, or complete the numerous tasks for which this unit is used, without a vacuum as powerful as this one. The only difficulty I've had is removing the filter for cleaning.

This is the best shop vac on the market as far as I'm concerned. It's larger than other ones in its class which makes it better at cleaning up industrial sized messes as opposed to just around the house messes for the average person. Maneuverability It's no chore at all to move this vac all around the place as long as there is a nice even surface, which is ideal for any kind of wheeled tool. I can make turns pretty easily and the vac isn't so heavy that it's hard to pull it despite its larger size. Ease of Maintenance There is no problem maintaining this vac. I find it very easy to pop it open to dump out all the trash that I have sucked up with it. Suction Performance The suction is where this vac makes its mark. It has never given me any kind of problem when I am trying to clean up a mess. Versatility Good versatility. I use this one different kinds of surfaces and this vac has never let me down. Design The design is just fine for my vacuuming needs. Durability Very well built vacuum that will keep me from having to buy another one for a good long time.

This is a really good wet and dry vacuum. It has strong suction power and hasn't given me any problems despite heavy usage. I think the price could be lowered a little, but I think that about most products that I buy these days. Maneuverability Easy to get around. The wheels are pretty basic, but that's okay. I wasn't looking for anything really high end, and this wet dry vac is basic, but that's good enough. Good turning just as long as I don't turn too fast to tip it over. Ease of Maintenance Very easy to maintain this vacuum. I just have to clean out the filter every now and then and it's good to go for another round of heavy workloads. Suction Performance The suction is very strong with this vacuum. I don't ever have to go over a mess more than once. This vacuum gets everything. Versatility Good in the sense that it equally cleans wet and dry messes. Design Design looks pretty good. Kind of like a little helper robot shape. Durability I haven't had an issue with the durability as of yet and I use this vacuum frequently.
