We recently purchased a home with hedges across the front of the house. Last summer we tried to trim the hedges with manual hedge trimmers and it was a daunting project. We borrowed trimmers from a friend this spring and decided that we would need to purchase our own. We wanted at least a 20" and wish that we had gone for a 24" blade. The buttons are easy to operate, but have safety features so we weren't worried about our three year old being outside with my husband while he was working on the hedges. The handle is convenient because you are able to hold it in three different positions and it has a guard that keeps the clippings away from your hand. One of my husbands favorite features was the clip that it has that holds the plug in. The trimmer we borrowed from a neighbor before purchasing this trimmer the cord kept coming out which was frustrating when we were in the middle of trimming.
