I purchased the Craftsman 6' Butcher Block Work Surface to replace an older block and it has been nothing short of spectacular. This block is very sturdy and hasn't shown any flex or give when I placed several items weighing over hundred pounds right in the center. The top of this block has a nice smooth finish, but has enough grip that prevents items from sliding when I'm working. The bottom side of this work surface is so grippy that I contemplated on not mounting it to my rolling station. This block doesn't slide or budge an inch when I'm doing basic projects while its only being held in place by its own weight. I did eventually mount the block for an extra layer of security, but I don't feel any difference from its previous free resting setup. I would definitely recommend the Craftsman 6' Butcher Block Work Surface because it's strong, stable, doesn't require installation, clean top finish, and appears like it will last a long time.

I purchased the Craftsman 6' butcher block work surface to use in our camper as new countertops. I loved it so much that I decided to give our kitchen counters a complete makeover and it turned out absolutely beautiful! It is super simple to install and adds a rustic look. The only thing about butcher block is that you can not clean it like other counters because it is wood. You will also need to seal it regularly and should use caution when cutting on it (I make sure to ALWAYS use cutting boards). As long as you care for it, you will have beautiful countertops. Of course, you could also use this butcher block as a work surface in an out building or a workshop and it would be great for that as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a workspace countertop or to add a little rustic appeal to their kitchen.
