We have a fairly small yard--approx. 5000 sf. and wanted a fuel free lawnmower. We didn't like the inconvenience of using a corded mower and thought we would try a rechargeable one. It is a little bit on the heavy side due to the battery weight, but maneuvers capably and has performed well for 5 years. The batteries are beginning to lose capacity and will probably need to be replaced this year or next--but I don't miss changing oil or smelling gasoline or smoke fumes. I like being able to place the mower on its side to clean the underside or access the blade--without being concerned about oil or gas leakage. Would not be a good choice for a large yard, thick grass or tall weeds. But it is an excellent option for a small yard and a senior citizen.
