I bought this because I did not have room in my purse for a full size compact. Sometimes near the end of the work day, I do need to touch up a little. It does not cost a lot and it is the perfect size for the purse. Also, Cover Girl put their expertise into putting together a great foundation powder in a mini size. It works just as well as the regular size one and I was able to find the color that matches the one I already have at home. I was very happy about that because sometimes different types make up are hard to match. I use Cover Girl pressed powder at home, but in a different type. Also, this powder does not sit heavy on my face or look cake-y as the day wears on. It is smooth, light, and the scent of the powder is nice and not overwhelming. If you are looking for a great little pressed powder that will fit nicely into your purse, this is the product for you. I definitely recommend this Cover Girl product over a lot of pressed powder out there on the market right now.
This is the first foundation I ever bought. The color match was pretty good, and it provides coverage without being cakey. I use the sponge applicator that comes with it, and it works great. I pat it on to my t-zone first, which is where I need coverage due to any discoloration or redness. Then I just carelessly swipe over my cheeks. Even after a full day of wear, the coverage is still there, but light. I like that, because it gives a natural look as if it's your natural skin. Many powder foundations that provide good coverage can look cakey, but this doesn't. Just don't pack it on so much, because any powder foundation can look cakey if you pack it on. Also, if you use this in conjunction with a liquid foundation, it will most likely look cakey. I would recommend this for people who have fairly good skin, but want an even skin tone effect. I also appreciate that it comes with a mirror.
I use to be an avid user of the top of the line makeup-thinking that was the only makeup that would work for me. Then the though economy hit, and we needed to cut back on unneccessary spending. Some women would think makeup doesn't fall in that category, but for me it did. I tried millions of brands and different products looking for something both economical and good. I was amazed with this cover girl powder. I do not have to use a lot of powder to get the coverage I need with it, which helps it last a little longer (adding a great deal to the value of the powder itself). It also stays in place through out the day, allowing less applications and getting that naked feeling on my face. It is not a heavy, cakey powder; it is very light, breathable powder offering good coverage. I have freckles, and it covers them enough to not be the first thing you see, but still allows you to see them and make me unique. I have recommended this powder to family and friends, and even people who swear by the expensive brands have taken a chance and love it.
So sometimes I don't feel like putting on foundation. You know those days, either it is just really hot outside, or you know you are going to be working at home later, but just need to run out for a bit. Well, I have found my answer. Cover Girl Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder foundation. It is a pressed powder that stays on nicely. It comes in a compact with a sponge applicator. It goes on smooth, and covers like a powder. They call it a foundation, and it does seem to eally stay on like a foundation, but it is much lighter. I have found that it works on those days when you don't want to wear foundation, it covers and stays on but sill feels light and cool. Also on those really special occassions when you need for you makeup to really look good, it can be used like any other powder over a foundation and it holds remarkably. I get the Ivory (605) which works for my skin in the winter, but when I have been out in the sun, it is a little too light. I do enjoy it and it is a nic change for me to go bak and forth between my foundation and this powder, I feel like it gives my face agood break. And overall this is a really good powder for the money!
I really like this pocket foundation. The bright blue compact is very easy to find at the bottom of my makeup bag or purse. The foundation itself is very easy to use - the sponge applicator can glide the makeup over my face and eyes very quickly - no need for messy liquid foundations. I have also noticed that this foundation doesn't cake and make wrinkles as noticable as liquid foundations do. Having this foundation on during the summer also takes away the threat of the foundation "running" during hot months when I am sweating outside. It stays in place even when my face is damp. The only drawback is for those who have dry skin. During the winter when my face is very dry, I have noticed that this foundation looks dry on my face, causing me to have to put on more face lotion. Making this same product with a moisturizer included for those of us with dry skin would be the only recommendation I would have for CoverGirl.

Cover Girl products are often Hit or Miss in My Personal Experience, but I chalk that up to the fact my skin tends to vary in degrees of oiliness and driness depending on state of health, temperature or seasonal changes, humidity, et cetera in my surroundings. My best bet has been to buy several different types of foundation on hand and freehand mix them on my palm before applying. To that end, I purchased Cover Girl Fresh Complexion Oil-Free Pocket Powder Foundation, more as part of the Do-It-Yourself make-up toolbox, than a ready-made application. If used as stand-alone, some days its Oil-Free feel is perfectly suited to my skin condition. On other days, it becomes too dry and flakey, and the coverage tends disengage or plain fall off my face, rather than blend in with the body heat, humidty, moisture already present on or in the pores. Still, Cover Girl has improved their palette and I no longer had to contend with shades much lighter than my skin that I used to face 10 years ago.
I'm not one of those people that wants to spend a ton on make up so when I find a good product, I tend to stick with it. Cover Girl's Fresh Complexion Oil-Free Pocket Powder Foundation is one of those I constantly look for when I go shopping for basic make up needs. It offers a light, matte finish, great for topping off. It doesn't have complete coverage so its wonderful for setting eyemake up and giving a natural look. The application sponge is very smooth and spreads the powder evenly. It also works well for blotting powder in specific areas that you'd like move coverage. I've never once had a problem with the packaging. The hinge on the compact is very sturdy. They've stood up to being tossed and carried in my pocketbook without so much as a scratch on the outside of the compact. I've also never had it open unwanted before. The latch is secure but not so difficult that you have to struggle to open it. This is definetly a good choice for a cheap, easy to use powder foundation.

Cover Girl Powder Foundation is a number one choice if you want light coverage creating a smooth complexion. It goes on evenly and since it's a powder you don't have to rub and rub to spread it out over your face. By gently using the sponge applicator on and around your face, the powder doesn't get caught and clump in the fine lines around your eyes and mouth. I sometimes use a make up brush for even lighter coverage as a touch up from day to evening. The powder keeps your complexion looking even and soft and doesn't run or smear. It never feels heavy and once it's on you'll forget you are wearing any make up. It doesn't leave make up residue on your collar and you can even rub your hand across your face and it won't look smeared or wiped off. It goes on so evenly that covering up blemishes or dark areas around your eyes is easy and because it's oil free it doesn't clog your pores. This is all I use as a foundation make up.
