I stumbled across the Country Curtains website when looking for a set of curtains to fit the small window over my sink in my kitchen. For some reason the process turned out to be a lot harder than I had expected it to be. So armed with Google I started searching for somewhere online to buy my oddly shaped curtains from and found Country Curtains. The website makes it feel like it's a smaller scale operation, which in this case was nice. I called the number that was listed on the website and gave them the measurement of the window and they quoted prices for various curtains for Me. I took a day or two to think it over before figuring out that they were the best deal and were the only ones that were anywhere near what I was looking for. I called them back and placed my order and a week later I had exactly the curtains I had envisioned. There customer service is fantastic and they really make you feel like they appreciate your business. I would totally recommend purchasing from them if you are looking for curtains. Ease of Use The website was very basic, but this also made it easy to use.

I remember my mother ordering from Country Curtains way back in the seventies so you know that they are a reputable company as they have been around for so long. They also make quality curtains as well. The website is easy to navigate and there is a large selection of all types of curtains for your country home. The curtains are very well made and of quality material. I have ordered from this site and have never been disappointed. They have a section where you can get tips and help on choosing the correct size curtains for your windows. The people in the customer service department are very nice and helpful as I found out when I had to call them with a problem I had in determining the correct curtain size I needed for an odd size window. The curtains range from reasonable to expensive and they have a large selection of curtains. The shipping was very quick and nothing was on back order. I recommend this website!

This is a great site that offers lots of help for the novice decorator or the more advanced decorator. The offer swatches if you are needing to match a fabric or color, and for those of us that have never installed rods they have installation help and advise, decorating hints and suggestions. Customer Service You can browse their web site but then call if you have questions on the product or if you just need help or reassurance that you are ordering the right size of curtains or rods. In my opinion, a home is never decorated without wall art and curtains. Every time I move into a new home, I have the walls adorned with framed prints within the week, but I always seem to neglect dealing with the window dressing. The previous owners of our home took their curtains with them, but I didn't really mind because I hated the country kitsch look of the overdone ruffles anyway. So we needed to purchase curtains, but we also wanted a professional, tailored look. We didn't want curtains that looked like they were hung as an afterthought.  When we came up with some ideas, we needed  a place to go that matched them. Enter **Country Curtains**. **About Country Curtains** I originally feared that Country Curtains would only feature the country style that I so dislike. My fears were unfounded. As soon as I pulled up the front page of the website I saw a lovely coordinated bedroom and curtain set that was similar to the kinds of things I was looking for. Located in Stockbridge, Massachussetts, the company is privately held and was founded in 1956 when the husband and wife team of Jack and Jane Fitzpatrick started selling simple muslin curtains by mail order. The company now has brick and mortar stores across the northeast as well as a booming mail order catalog and Internet presence. **Navigating the Website** Country Curtains is a website that is a pleasure to navigate. The usability of the interface is excellent and every major section is no more than a click or two away. Customers can browse each section by pulling up groupings of products in sets of 8 or by going to the page for a product and clicking "next" or "previous". There's also a drop down menu for other categories. **Samples and Selections** Country Curtains will ship up to ten free fabric swatches at your request. This could be a tremendous service, especially since monitor colors vary so much. Simply click the "request a swatch" button and fill out the requested information for shipping. This service is slow, however. Getting your swatches can take a couple of weeks. **Ordering** Ordering my curtains was a very easy experience, and every bit as intuitive on the website as the browsing and shopping. A few clicks, a page of shipping choices, my address and credit card number on their secure page, and my order was on my way. Within five minutes I had an order confirmation in my e-mail Inbox with a shipping estimate of 5-7 days. **Delivery** A single box, containing a single pocket rod, arrived at my house five days after my order. The packing slip which finally fell out of the long, narrow box after some coaxing, stated that if my order had included any other items, they were shipping separately. I was surprised that I had not received an e-mail notification that any part of my order had shipped. I noted that the box had been shipped via USPS with tracking. I called Country Curtains to request my tracking numbers for the rest of my order, since it appeared that Country Curtains would not send me notification when the package shipped. The woman who answered confirmed my other items had shipped in a second package, but seemed a bit flustered that I was calling when it had not yet been 5-7 business days since my order. I explained to her that I was aware that my order would take 5-7 business days, but that I still would like my tracking number since they shipped via USPS with tracking. After a few minutes' discussion she relented and gave me the number. I hung up and went to track my package. As usual, it did not show up at USPS. USPS service with tracking seems to be notoriously useless about tracking numbers. I have only once actually been able to pull up a package using the USPS tracking number, and it only showed up in their database the day that it arrived at my home. Two days later, with USPS still showing that they didn't have any package information for me, the rest of my order arrived in the weirdest of ways. A man in a mini-van pulled up with an infant in a car seat in the back. He delivered my order - in spite of the correct address being on the box, the US Postal Service had delivered it to the wrong house. **Quality** I am very pleased with the quality of the curtains that I ordered from Country Curtains. They're well-made, attractive, and look exactly as they did online, no surprises. The pocket rods that were shipped also arrived in fine condition and appeared to be high quality. **Overall** My experience with Country Curtains was excellent right up until the items shipped. They fall short in two areas: 1) They don't send shipment notifications. This is standard and I expect this from companies that allow online ordering. During the holiday season, shipment notifications are crucial when customers are ordering a fair amount of merchandise online. 2) They use USPS as their default shipping carrier. USPS is substandard when it comes to reliably tracking and delivering packages. They use FedEx for expedited and two day service, and in my opinion they would better serve their customers by offering FedEx or UPS ground delivery instead of USPS. **Cat's Bottom Line**In the future, if I find a product that I like online at Country Curtains, and I can't find it anywhere else, I will order from them again. However, based on the shipping experience I had, I will do so with some reservations. I recommend Country Curtains, but with caveats about the shipping.
