A good toilet paper. Not my favorite, but it does the job.

I am a fan of buying toilet paper when it's on sale, but if I find one I love I will pick it up at the store more often. I have used this paper in the past and it wasn't too bad. It was thick enough to do the job, but not super thick or anything. It worked for my family, but not as well as some of the other products out there have worked. I usually only would buy this one if it was on sale because for the price I would much rather have a better toilet paper. This one compared to other brands didn't stand up as well. That being said it isn't a bad toilet paper. It still works well. I would say to give it a try and see what you think. Comfort This toilet paper isn't the most comfortable toilet paper, but I don't think that it claims to be either. It wasn't so uncomfortable that I wouldn't use it again. It's just a basic toilet paper. Durability It's strong enough to get those bottoms clean, but there are many other brands that have thicker paper. Absorption It absorbed okay. I would have to say that other toilet paper absorbs much better. It seems like you have to pull a little extra off the roll to get better absorption with this particular Cottonelle toilet paper.

Shouldn't toilet paper be soft?

As far as texture is concerned, this is one of the worst types of toilet paper I have ever tried. The paper is rough and on top of that, it has ridges that make it even worse. I guess that is the main idea behind "Clean Care", as if it didn't have ridges toilet paper wouldn't get you clean. Well, toilet paper alone is insufficient and quite inefficient, that is why it needs to be followed by a shower or at least wipes. That is why I don't expect my toilet paper to be like a scrubbing sponge. The other problem I had with this product was the fact that is almost impossible to tear apart just one square, unless you are super careful. Sometimes I need just one square to wipe something off the bathroom sink or whatnot. Whenever I try to do that or even to get 2 squares, I have to be very careful, otherwise I end up with shreds of paper. And last, but not least, I found that this product has a smell. Maybe it's the wood it's made from, but other brands don't smell and this one does. It's not necessarily bad, but it got me worried, thinking that it might contain chemicals/ The company reassured me that it doesn't. Not worth the price. There are other brands that are soft and resistant at the same time. And they are not rough with your skin. Comfort Very rough on your skin.

Worth the price

The Cottonelle brand toilet paper is a little pricier than some other ones we have seen on the market and used, but we believe it has been worth the extra money. It is fairly easy to find coupons for the Cottonelle brand as well, which helps offset the extra cost a little bit. This seems to be a good balance of value and performance as far as toilet paper goes. Comfort No complaints. Seems nice and soft...for toilet paper. Durability This toilet paper seems to hold together really well when wet. I have used it just for wiping up quick spills in the bathroom, and it does not leave the annoying little pieces everywhere after wiping with it. Much better than the bargain brands. Absorption We tried some ultra-cheap bargain brand toilet paper recently, but we just ended up using twice as much paper as we normally do. It did not save us anything in the long run. The Cottonelle brand has good absorption.

Best Toilet Tissue EVER

I had never bought this before because it was on the higher priced end of toilet paper. I recently got a great deal on it so I tried it. This is now the only toilet paper I want to use! It is so strong and soft and lasts a really long time. Comfort Absolutely the most comfy toilet paper I have ever used! Durability So strong and you use much fewer sheets! Absorption Great absorption, dont think you could find any better!

It is alright

This product was not the best I have ever used. It was not as soft as the advertising made it out to be. This toilet paper was more durable than any other I have used. The problem with this toilet paper was that it was rough and it left skin irritation. The rolls are smaller than other brands of toilet paper. Overall, I think this product is expensive for what is really given in the package. It may have a cute logo, but do not let that fool you on your choice of toilet paper. Comfort The comfort was terrible. I would not recommend this product if you have sensitive skin. The lines on this paper gave it a rougher feel than Charmin toilet paper. Durability I felt like the durability could be a bit better, but over it did the job. This toilet paper did not tear apart like other cheap toilet paper. Absorption The absorption is more subjective depends on how much you use. Overall, the absorption was great on this product.

Not very soft

For years my rule of thumb when buying toilet paper is to pay about 25 cents per roll.  Now that there are double (and triple) rolls, the math is a little different, but it still works out the same.  Believe it or not, you can still find these kinds of low prices on toilet paper, but you do have to look around and shop sales. When there are no sales, I generally buy whatever brand is the cheapest.  I will say right upfront that MD and Northern 2-ply are my favorite brands, but the latest type of toilet paper that I purchased was a 12 roll package of double rolls of Cottonelle.  To say I am disappointed is an understatement. This package pictures a puppy playing with a roll of the toilet paper.  It reads "Tuggable huggable softness".  It also claims that the paper is "Now softer & stronger".  Sounded pretty good to me, so I thought. I am used to quilted two-ply toilet paper, and granted this one did not advertise that it was two-ply, it didn't even say it was one-ply in large letters, you have to read the small print on the bottom of the bag.  Each roll contains 260 one-ply sheets.  I will say that for one-ply this is a pretty thick paper.  I actually tried to pull it apart when it was on the roll, trying to discern if it was one or two layers thick. Although it is not quilted (you have to have two layers to really "quilt"), it does have a waffled design in the paper, but it is not nearly as soft as I expected it to be.  At least in comparison to the two ply brands I buy, it fell short.  I purchased two packages of 12 double rolls, so we will be using this for a while now, but when it is finished I don't have any plans to buy the Cottonelle brand again, at least not in the one-ply version. Comfort One ply and not nearly as soft as my two ply Northern or MD tissue. Durability This ripped when I used it because it was too thin Absorption Not thick enough to be as absorbent as I'd like

WAY too many pieces left behind!

2

I feel like I can't use this toilet paper without using feminine wipes or baby wipes after. just one wipe leaves a bigger mess than what was there before I used it. I love the thickness, and the absorbancy, but the little pieces of toilet paper left behind is way too much of a nuisance. I purchased the Cottonelle "clean care with soft ripples" The mess left behind from this toilet paper can be quite embarassing. (bad enough for me to come online to find a place to write a review!)

Cottonelle Toilet Paper is the best

I used to hate when my toilet paper would shred or disintegrate while wiping or feel rough against my skin. With Cottonelle toilet paper, none of that is a problem anymore. All types of Cottonelle toilet paper is good, but you really don't need more than the one-ply rolls. Even one-ply is as strong as, if not stronger than, most toilet paper on the market, and it feels very soft against the skin. The thickness of each square of toilet paper allows for you to use less each time compared to regular toilet paper.  So not only do you get double rolls here, you also don't need to use as much. The toilet paper also has soft ridges along it that help give it enough texture to really get you as clean as possible. Since I have started using Cottonelle toilet paper, I cannot get used to using regular toilet paper anymore. Everything feels like sand paper in comparison. Next time you are toilet paper shopping, give Cottonelle one-ply double rolls a try, and I bet you will never go back to regular toilet paper again.

Cottonelle Toilet Paper - Gets the job done without shredding

4

We buy three grades of toilet paper depending on how our budget looks for the month.  **Cottonelle One Ply Toilet Paper **is what we call a mid-range toilet paper. The one-ply paper is softer and thicker than you would expect because of the quilting.  The package says that Cottonelle is soft and strong with "tuggable huggable softness".  We have not had a problem with the paper leaving "pieces" as some others have mentioned; and it gets the job done without poking through or falling apart.  We did, however, have a problem with flushing this toilet paper.  If you bunch it up in any way and use too much, you may clog up your toilet.  It's best to keep it separated as much as possible and let it soak in the water for a couple of minutes before flushing. The Double Roll fits just fine in a standard toilet paper holder.  If you need a good, affordable toilet paper that gets the job done without shredding, try Cottonelle One Ply Toilet Paper in the 12 Double Roll Pack.

Cottonelle is strong and durable but soft

4

Cottonelle is probably our family's favorite toilet paper.  It is a very thick one-ply paper rolls which is very durable but also very soft.  We like the one-plyness of it because there is no hassel of the ply-layers seperating and the roll getting all messed up.  That annoys me about a lot of two-ply toilet papers.  It is not what you'd think of when you think about 1-ply paper.  The other one-ply stuff that they have in public restrooms, etc. is just wrong.  It is thin, it breaks and tears and it is rough.  This product will change your concept of one-ply.  It is super thick and tough.  I have not experienced any tearing, ripping or breaking.  It is soft - and cottonelle even sells softer varieties than this one.  It also seems to do well when you have a septic system - it has not caused us any problems with ours. The only draw back is the price - it is expensive.  We usually try to buy it on sale and use a coupon, which are readily available.  This is our favorite.
