Best waterproof sunscreen for those who burn easily
Coppertone Ultraguard Waterproof SPF 70 broad spectrum sunscreen is the very best sunscreen I have found for a long day in the sun (particularly if there is water involved). I burn extremely easily- to the point that I wear a light sunscreen every day in the summer because otherwise I will burn walking from my car into the grocery store (or wherever). But when I'm going to be in the water or out for an extended period of time I turn to Coppertone Ultraguard Waterproof SPF 70 every time. Scent I'll be honest, this sunscreen doesn't smell brilliant. It's kind of hard to describe the smell. It is slightly chemically smelling and has undertones of hot rubber scent (think car tires), but the less than ideal smell is a price I'm willing to pay for good protection. Absorption This sunscreen soaks into the skin well, but there's no doubt you are wearing sunscreen. It feels a little greasy, particularly at first. I recommend applying before going down to the beach unless you want sand to stick to you those first few minutes after application. Longevity This stuff lasts for hours. If you aren't in the water you can probably get away with applying once and forgetting about it. If you are swimming it might be a good idea to reapply at least once. This is a truly waterproof sunscreen- to the point you have to scrub to get it off in the shower after a day at the lake or the beach. Effectiveness By far the best sunscreen I have found for a long day out in the sun (particularly when water is involved). This is a broad spectrum sunscreen: meaning it protects against UVA and UVB rays.
