So sad it was discontinued!

I used to keep a stick of this with me in my diaper bag all the time when my son was younger. It was the perfect thing to have because it was a stick and couldn't spill and it was so small that it hardly took up any space. Also my son reacted much better to the stick than he ever did to a cream or oil rubbed on his skin, especially on his face. Effectiveness My son has light skin just like me and this was the perfect thing for him when he was younger. I wouldn't have used it for a full day in the sun but it was perfect for an afternoon at the park or an outdoor play date where no one wanted to mess with the mess of sunscreen lotions. The stick design was super convenient and allowed for targeted sun protection. Absorption This product felt more like a wax than anything else. It's somewhere between an oil and a cream on the spectrum of sun screen absorption but I was pretty pleased with how it eventually soaked it.

Love these little sticks!

These little sunscreen sticks are so handy! They're perfect to fit in a purse, diaper bag, glove box (though then you have to worry about melting, learned that no brainer the hard way!), backpack, or what ever you carry your stuff around in. That way if you need to re-up the sunscreen or you forget to put it on before leaving the house, this bad boy is close at hand! I keep a makeup bag in my purse full of little necessities. It's small enough that I can easily carry it, but it holds enough that I'm just about always prepared. One of the necessities I carry is this little Coopertone Kids Sunscreen Stick. It works really well, my daughter has yet to get a sun burn after I've used this stick on sun screen on her. It's really best for faces I think, but in a pinch it'll do more. I've used it on my daughter's arms and legs when we've been out and about longer than originally anticipated and the need for sunscreen arose. Scent It smells like regular sunscreen. No better, no worse. Maybe not as strong though. Absorption It's a bit greasy going on, but not too bad.

A great product for kids

My granddaughter is 20 months old and she has fair skin. I know that sunburns received in childhood can increase skin cancer as an adult, so I always apply sunscreen to her if she is going to be out in the sun for any length of time. Coppertone Kids Sunscreen Stick has a SPF of 30 and it looks like a tube of glue stick. The tube is about 3/4 of an inch wide and the stick itself is clear. Just like a tube of lip balm, there is a lever at the bottom that you turn to roll the suncreen stick up from the bottom. Coppertone states this protects against both UVA and UVB rays and that it can last up to 6 hours. I find that swimming or excessive sweating affects the ability of the product to work to its fullest, so I recommend reapplying in those instances. Applying sunscreen to a wiggly toddler can sometimes be challenging, so the stick form of sunscreen makes it easier. I don't recommend using this for all over the body, but I do recommend it for applying to the face, around the eyes and tops of the ears. Great for harder to reach areas. I have used this myself and found it gave me a lot of protection. I've used it in 80 degree temperatures and even though I lay out in the sun for a couple hours, I did not burn. The one thing I do not like about Coppertone Kids Sunscreen Stick, and that is the scent. It has a strange odor that I do not care for. Effectiveness I have not burned my skin while wearing this sunscreen Scent This is the one thing I didn't care for, my tube smelled odd Absorption Abrorbs well and easy to apply

Coopertone kids stick- the best around

5

I absolutely love the kids coppertone sunblock stick. I am a teacher and had my kids bring a face stick to school and apply it to their faces during the school year. Most families chose this brand. When I worked at a summercamp and kids would reapply to their face during the day, I recommended a kids sunblock stick and again, most families chose this brand. The stick works very well. Campers as young as 4 were responsible for sunblocking their faces and they did a good job with the stick. They could be left alone to apply it to their faces. The sticks are not expensive and often they come for free with a large body of sunsreeen or sunscreen spray for the body. Most come on a keychain loop or caribeener for kids to attach to theirr backpack so they can apply whenevver they feel they need it. What I liked most about the stick is the young kids could get some of it in their eye and it did not bother them. I highly recommend it!

Wish the had the stick when I was younger!

I can honestly say that I wish that they made sunscreen in a stick when I was a yougn child. I have very fair skin so I knew that my kids will have fair skin. This thing is so easy to apply. You don't have to worry about your child sweating and the sunscreen running down their faces. This little stick is not good for whole body coverage so you might want to make sure to have some other kind of screen sun on the rest of the body. This sun screen has at least 6 hours of waterproof protection. (I don't know if it has more then that but I was not willing to chance it with my son.) This sun screen is very reasonably priced and it will last you through the whole summer. I also have one in the diaper bag and everyone knows that it is in there in case they need to use it.

I have used Coppertone Kids sunblock stick on my two girls and I think it works great. It protects them from the harmful rays of the sun and lets them play out side while not getting burnt. I would recomend this product to all the mothers who take there kids out to play at the beach, park, and even at home.

Not just for babies...Use it for YOU!

I have learned that baby and child products are some of the best around. Due to the strict regulations used to ensure that the products are safe; the end result is usually a better grade of materials used. Just like how baby food is pure, which in turn would be better for adults to consume as well in certain cases because you get ALL of the vitamins and none of the toxins. In this case, this easy to use, great price point and slides into pockets with ease. You can use it on yourself and the littles ones. Just remember to reapply every 4 to 6 hours or after every session in the water. The stick makes for an easy application process and the stores run these on sale so you can pick a few and stash them around so you are not scrambling for just one all the time. Again, even use it on yourself and make it easier on the whole family. The SPF is defininitely high enough. Not made for head to toe application.

Coppertone Kids Sunblock Stick is great

5

Coppertone Kids Sunblock Stick is a great product. Kids love to use it. And, what's more, it protects them from the sun's harmful rays. It's easy to use. It is vetry inexpensive and lasts a long time. It is also easy to find in a local store near you since it's a national brand. Coppertone is an established company, so you know it will be a great product. I think this really is a wonderful product. It is great to use on the face, arms, legs, anywhere on the body. And, it is good for sensitive skin as well. It is safe for kids. It doesn't break out your kids like a lot of products do that are especially made for kids. That tells me Coppertone really knows their market well. It does offer about 6 hours waterproof protection, so that's one of the reasons it does last a long time. You don't have to rub this. That's one of the reasons I like it so much. I also like it because one can carry it in a pocket, purse, and so on. Pretty neat product that actually works.

Coppertone Kids Sunblock Stick is a Lifesaver

5

My boys all had the misfortune of inheriting my very fair, very sunburn-prone skin. Trying to get them to hold still while I put sunscreen on them was beyond frustrating, but I had to do it even before going for the simplest of walks. This sunscreen stick makes getting their faces and ears so much easier. They've been out at the park for hours without burning, though I do tend to pack it with me and touch up if we've been out for more than an hour. Which brings me to my other favorite thing about it-- no worrying about spills in my diaper bag. I can throw this in and carry it with me without having to find sunscreen has leaked all over everything by the time we get home. It means I'm much more dilligent about re-covering the kids since I can even carry this in my pocket. It's not the greatest thing if you want one product for the whole body, but I've used it on their arms and still had good protection. I usually have two on hand in case I can't find one because I like it that much.
