Great for recipes

5

Although this website also sells products, we use it primarily for recipes. Before our second son was born, we wanted to prepare a lot of crockpot meals that could be frozen and pulled out when needed, after we were busy with two young children. We scoured the Internet for recipes, and found a lot of helpful ones on cooking.com. This website has been extremely helpful to us in organizing and preparing meals, especially when we need a resource of a lot of recipes at once. It has been most helpful in chicken recipes, as we often buy a thirty or forty pound box of chicken at once and want several different recipes. Ease of Use The search bar allows you to search for what you're looking for ("salmon recipes," "freezer recipes," "crockpot recipes," etc). Once you have searched for a particular term, options on the side allow you to narrow down the choices in several ways (main ingredient, convenience, cuisine, diet type, etc). Not only does this help narrow down the choices, but they use common-sense categories that are practical, since they are categories that many people would use to sort. Product Pricing The recipes that we have used are free.

Fantastic Website for the Cook or Baker!

5

This website is heaven to me. I just wish I had enough money to buy everything I wanted. If you are an avid cook or baker or trying to be and are interest in getting the highest quality of items or seeing what actually is available to you are a legit cooking website instead of just walmart? Check this website out. A lot of the prices are discounted, which is very exciting, as these are high quality items. I don't know if that's just the holidays bringing on those discounts, but it's great to see a Le Creuset Cast Iron Dutch Oven discounted from $229 to $149. That's a pretty good deal. Also, being an amateur chef, I appreciate how there is a helpful, knowledgeable description of a lot of the categories. For example in describing the Dutch Ovens, it explains that cast iron is more a go-to than other kinds due to keeping the heat in better and longer. I never knew that. That really helps me shop. Also they have buying guides. How helpful is that? They show you how certain items work, what to look for, and what they recommend. Maybe an experienced cook or baker doesn't need this, but I find it most helpful in expanding my skills!

Great site for cooks!

I decided to start at a cooking school a while ago. I have always been interested in cooking, but I never realized how many tools you need! I came across cooking.com when I was looking for a place to order everything I need. I shopped at walmart for a while, but I kept getting awful tools, cookware, bakeware, etc that would fall apart and stop working after a short time. I realized I was spending more money on replacing the cheap stuff then I would be buying nice things. Cooking.com has great brands including wilton and Rachael Ray. They also continue to carry Paula deen cookware, bakeware and food, which is great because that's so hard to find now. I was however a little disappointed in their cookbooks. I didn't really find anything in that section that I was interested in. The prices on cooking.com can be very expensive on certain things, but other products aren't that bad. So far, I have ordered cake pans, a sandwich maker, pastry brushes, a pie crust shield and a few pieces of cookware. I have been very happy with all of it! Every piece is made to last and it's much better then a lot of things I have had. They also have a price match guarantee. I haven't used it yet, but it's great to have that option. They have a rewards program, but it takes quite a bit to earn cash back. I will continue to order from this site!

Great place to shop for the "foodie" in your family.

I love the large selection of items that Cooking.com has to offer. It's a great place to shop for gifts or even just to get something for yourself. I've never been disappointed with any purchase I've made. All of the items they sell seem to be of very good quality. Cooking.com sells cookware, bakeware, cooking tools, food storage options, tableware, cookbooks, and they even sell food items. While they have a good selection of all items, the cookbook section is most impressive. They have over a thousand cookbooks to choose from and they are at an affordable price. Shipping costs are reasonable. You get free shipping every day on orders over $49. Spending $49+ isn't hard on this website so I've always received free shipping and my items arrive within a few days. Cooking.com has a rewards program that I use. You get $10 in shopping dollars for every $200 you spend. The shopping dollars work like a gift certificate and can be used on the Cooking.com website. The only downside is that the shopping dollars expire after a year. While I do use the rewards program, it would be nice if they would make it a little better, giving you at least $5 more in rewards dollars. I would recommend Cooking.com to anyone looking for a large selection of cooking related items.

Too much spam

1

Ordering from Cooking.com is a smooth experience. Plenty of items that they offer with plenty of reviews that you can use to help guide your decision making. Lots of sales as well. Shipments arrive on time and as directed, no hassle there. Item arrives in perfect condition without any noticeable defects as all. The problem is the massive amount of spam that they send you. They just bombard you with countless ads. Email after email, they keep emailing you. Once you placed an order with your email address, they will use this and keep sending you spam. It's vary frustrating as I did not want to be opted in or subscribe to their newsletters, but because I placed an order, they feel that they have the right to spam me with the nonense ads. I don't like that at all and find it very frustrating. They really care about milking every last penny from you and that's not the attitude that I like. Other than that it's a decent site, but I really hate their marketing strategy. I hope it changes, but for now, it's enough to put me away from ordering.
