Bulky but alright

It was bulky for me. I burned myself a couple times since the only place to grip is on the edges.

Conair curling & Flat Iron

I used it to curl my hair. It curl's your hair but it damages you hair . When I used this curling / flat iron my hair would smell as if it got burned, so I would have to keep checking if it actually did. Which made the process so much longer

Great while it worked but broke quickly.

I purchased this curling and flat iron duo from Con Air because I had always had a good experience with this brand. The price was decent for a curling and flat iron so I purchased it at a local store. While it worked, it was awesome. My hair got incredible volume and curl with the curling feature. It also looked really straight when I used the flat iron feature. However, after only about 5 months of using it, it completely stopped heating up. I tried to fix it in multiple ways but it was finished. I was not happy with it only lasting 5 months for the price I paid. I would not recommend this product. It does not last long. Effectiveness It was definitely effective while it worked. I was really pleased with how my hair looked while I was able to use it. However, it broke quickly and was not effective after that. Durability Mine only lasted for 5 months before it totally stopped heating up. Therefore, it was completely unusable.

I won't buy it again

This was probably the first tool I ever bought for curling my hair. And I would never make the same mistake twice. Don't get me wrong, this curler works, but it's nothing and I mean it's nothing when you compare it to the other curlers out there. When I used this curling / flat iron my hair would smell as if it got burned, so I would have to keep checking if it actually did. Which made the process so much longer The curls wouldn't stay for an hour if I didn't put hair spray. And even if I spray my hair, they would hold up only for few hours. I don't even bother using the flat iron that's attached to it. Because I already have a flat iron and it doesn't even come close to the Conair one. This curler have damaged my hair, and made it look oily after I was done, even if I just washed it. I would never recommend conair products to any one, I have tried few of them, and let's just say I'm not a fan of them. Effectiveness No very effective Durability Breaks easily. One drop and you'll need another one.

Works well and provides more than one function with one tool.

I like the versatility of both a flat iron and the curling iron. My unit has a dial where I can adjust the heat. I think that is an excellent feature. Effectiveness It works well with my hair type. And I have used it when my hair was long and now that my hair is shorter it works equally as well. Durability I like the plates on the flat iron. I feel it insulates my hair somewhat.

Perfect for a quick curl and go.

Heats up quickly. Curls easily without the cord tangling up. Cools quickly, and if you forget to unplug it, it turns off. Twenty-five curl settings. Curls stay all day. Price for the product is good.  Quality, mine has lasted for over 4 years, so far. Quick and simple to use. I bought two. One for myself, and one for my daughter who lives at home.

It works quickly and consistently.

This product is reliable and delivers consistent results. I don't go on vacation without it. It heats well and you can adjust the settings from 1 to 25 for more control. The price is great too. I picked mine up at a local drugstore and figured it would not last for more than a few months. I have had mine for about 2 years now and I still use it about 3 times a week. Great buy.

Doesn't work well

3

I've used this product for about 2 years now. It works well for straightening which is what I mainly use it for. However, the down side if that your hair tends to stick in the hinges and it is hard to avoid those. Also, another down fall to this is that it doesn't straighten your hair well if it is even a bit wet. It only works well if your hair is completely dry.  I have tried the curlying feature on this product and it didn't turn out well for me, so I haven't been using it since. This would be recommended for anyone that is on a budget and is looking for something that will work. Another thing about this product is that it easily heats up and is ready to use. So the main thing here is that it straightens well and is easy to use. But, the down side is that it doesnt effectively straighten your hair if it is wet, it only works well if your hair is completely dry. It is recommended for those with a lower budget.

Conair 2 N 1 doesn't do either one well

2

Was excited to get this since I thought it could do double duty with touching up my wavy hair with the large barrel of the Conair 2 n 1 and also straighten.  While it does have some capacity to straighten, especially on the higher heat settings, the results fall far short of what you would get with a higher quality flat iron.  I have thick caucasian hair with lots of wave and a bit of curl, and the straightening function couldn't get my hair to straighten unless it was on a really high heat setting with plenty of heat protectant and other straightening products.  Even then, the ends still don't get flat and my hair gets some frizz back even if there's the teeny tiniest bit of humidity.  I live in FL.  That's a problem.   My hair easily gets caught in the straightener's hinge, which is painful and pulls hairs out.  Ditto with the curling iron hinge.  You have to get used to holding it differently for each function, and the lock that keeps the straightener part closed for travel or if you want to use it as a curling iron gets stuck so that you're afraid you'll break the product if you try to open it.  So far it hasn't broken, but I've broken a nail trying to pry it open.  But, if you really don't want to fork out the big bucks and your hair is really, really easy to straighten, you might want to try this.  Just be forewarned that you get what you pay for in this case.  I'm upgrading to a professional grade flat iron as soon as I can fit it in my budget.

Clutzy curlz

I thought it looked interesting. Switching from curling iron to flat iron is easy but it's awkward to get used to using. Bulky and very clumsy to use. I've burned my forehead several times! I'd say not recommended. Either get a curling iron or get a flat iron but 2 in one is just too awkward and dangeous to your skin.
