I'm not picky when it comes to elastics, but when I saw these on sale, I had to try. They're stretchy and don't pull on your hair; they do stretch out pretty easily though. I've had a similar experience using old cut up tights, stockings & leggings (ones that were WAY too damaged to sew or fix). These are great, but they're also just glorified cut up leggings/stockings.
