Average floss

4

I have used this dental floss several times after receiving it at the dentist's office. It works well enough for floss, but personally, I prefer the disposable floss picks that have a small plastic handle. On these Colgate ones, they do have some positives. For one, the floss is pretty strong. Even when I get it down in between my teeth and it starts to get stuck, I can pull it out with a decent amount of force without it breaking (whereas other cheaper brands will break in the same situation). Another positive is that it does do a pretty good job of removing plaque buildup from between the teeth. But to me, the downsides outweigh the benefits. Like most dental flosses, this one is difficult to use in the back of the mouth, since you need to get two hands pretty far into your mouth. It also takes quite a long piece to be able to wrap it around a finger on each hand well enough for it to stay. I will use it if I receive it for free, but otherwise, I will stick to floss picks.

Perfect for tight spaces!

I started using Colgate Total Dental Floss after the orthodontist put a permanent retainer behind my bottom teeth. I had been having to use floss threaders to get the floss through my teeth, and they were expensive. Colgate Total Floss is rigid enough that I can push it between my teeth without the use of floss threaders. Another thing I like about this floss is that it doesn't shred and get caught in my teeth. I can use one piece for my entire mouth without any shredding, so it saves me money. What I like the most about this floss, as I mentioned in the title, is that it fits perfectly in tight spaces. My teeth are very close together, and I've tried several different brands of floss that would not go between some of my teeth. This floss gets through even the tightest spaces! It also has a nice minty scent which makes my mouth feel clean. It is not the cheapest floss available, but not overly expensive either.

Colgate Total Dental Floss

As far as dental care and cleaning is concerned, Colgate is my favorite brand. I believe they are masters of anticavity fluoride products and I grew up on Colgate. That being said, I believe Colgate Total Dental Floss falls a little bit short of perfection on this occasion. My biggest teething problem with this product is that the floss is very thin (like an ironed piece of cotton) and is way too thin. It easily glides between my teeth for super flossing but I would go so far as saying I've cut my gums on more than one occasion. It's minty flavored which I love and it comes in a really tiny package which is good for carrying in the smallest of purses. I found the little container quite difficult to open though and for a moment I wondered how the older generation cope with a container so fiddly. On the plus side it is very strong and holds up to some considerable tugging! It doesn't shred and for a package so tiny, it lasts for ages.

A Recommended Produc

I purchased Colgate Dental Floss last year as my dentist had recommended to use a dental floss and when I approached the chemist, he recommended to try Colgate as it is the best brand. I was a bit reluctant to try it as its price was quite high and I had not tried any other brand at that time. I went on to purchase it. I usually do not problems with eating food and no food gets stuck in between the teeth but my children get food stuck in their teeth and so I used it more for them. The children did not like the mint flavor and went on complaining but after I saw the result, I was really happy with the result as it could get most of the dirt off their teeth. It was easy to use in all areas of the mouth and the children did not get any pain while I cleaned their teeth with the floss. I have found the price to be more expensive than other brands and so I no longer continue its use. The result is good and so I would recommend it.

Colgate Total Floss Reaches into those Tight Spaces

Everyone realizes the importance of flossing, but many of us reluctantly admit that we don't floss as much as we should. One dental floss that could serve to encourage more people to floss is **Colgate Total Dental Floss.** **Toothpaste Facts and Commentary:** Colgate Total Dental Floss is a waxed dental floss that glides effortlessly between teeth and is good when teeth are very close together and there is little room to maneuver. This product carries the Colgate Total brand name and is one of several products sold under this popular and well- respected banner. Colgate Total Dental Floss is used just like any other floss. You need to wrap it around the fingers or otherwise secure I before attempting to floss. As I said, it glides very easily between the teeth due to its waxed surface and thinness. My teeth are all very close together so a floss such as this is very useful for me. Other flosses are too difficult to work between the teeth and often have to be forced. The forcing of the floss works, but if I push too hard, the floss strikes my sensitive gums too abruptly and sometimes causes bleeding. Colgate Total Dental Floss holds together very well and doesn't become frayed like some dental floss brands. And it has a nice, mild mint flavor that is much better than the tastelessness of a standard dental floss. **My Bottom Line:** My bottom line on Colgate Total Dental Floss is that it is a dental floss worth trying. It costs a little bit more than most, but it glides easily between teeth, doesn't fall apart, and has a pleasant flavor. Those with larger spaces between their teeth may find it unnecessary and possibly underperforming, but those with tight teeth will find that this floss works wonders and it could serve to help use dental floss with greater frequency.

Colgate Total Dental Floss-It's Great for Close Teeth!

5

This floss is by far, my all-time favorite. I know, a funny thing to say, but listen on. I have large teeth that are very close together. On top of that, I've had some dental fillings done and that has lessened the space in between my teeth even more. Unwaxed floss simply doesn't work and most wax floss just breaks before I'm finished. This Colgate floss is quite thin and well waxed. It glides right through the spaces, removing debris. I love it. No more yanking, tugging, pulling or breaking the floss. I do not have anything negative to say about this product. Now people that don't have those tight spaces may not feel like it does a good job, but for those of you who do, this floss is highly recommended.

Colgate Total Dental Floss For Tight Teeth

4

I have had some dental work done to the lower portion of my mouth, one of which was getting a crown on one of my teeth.  Unfortunately, now this tooth is fit tight against another, and when I get food stuck between them it is difficult to remove it. That is why I like Colgate Total Dental Floss.  The little container, which can fit easily into a purse, contains 50% more or 30 yards.  It is a waxed floss with a light mint flavor, and it's easy to pull it out and cut some floss off on the metal cutter under the flip style cap. While this floss works great for this one particular area of my mouth, I can't use it to clean between all of my teeth.  The fact that it's thin and strong makes it work well in one aspect, but it hurts my gums when used on my other teeth.  I have a dental pick, but these are expensive to change out the heads, and it grosses me out to use the pick and place it back in my toothbrush holder without removing the head that I just flossed with.  That leaves me with the choice of using a string style floss, which means I have to wind it around my fingers to get a good grip.  I actually feel like I have more control with the string style floss. If you have tight spaces between your teeth, I would recommend the Colgate Total Waxed Dental Floss.

Colgate Total dental floss is a total waste of money.

The only reason I have even tried this dental floss is because my wife for some reason likes it and I get it for her. I usually just use the equate pluckers to floss. I can't stand regular dental floss and colgate total is no different. You waste more of it than you use becaused it is waxed it slips outof your fingers so you need to wrap in around at least one finger on each hand to avoid it slipping out of your hands. At least on my teeth it seems to fray easier and the only thing worse than having food stuck in your teeth is getting dental floss stuck in your teeth while trying to get it out. I have no idea why my wife likes this stuff but I will never use it again. I guess I am stuck buying it as long as she likes it because she does not like the equate pluckers, she says they are hard to get in betwwen her teeth, she must have teeth really close together because I have never had that problem.
