Clogging problem

Purchased the dual mop, good idea but bad design. After a couple of day the sprayer clogged and just leaked out of the refill. Not sure if it is the bottle or the wand. Sprayer handle is flimsy.

Works great and cleans stains

I figured I would try ready mop and throw out my old mop. Well, I love it! I use it to clean my white kitchen floor that can get really dirty!! It cleans up all of the stains on it and leaves my kitchen floor white and shiny. I love how easy it is to use and I love how I can change the cloths on it. Very cool mop and I will continue to use mine!

A handy mop to own.

I primarily use this mop for my kitchen and bathroom. Although the pads are not quite thick and absorbent enough to complete an entire room in one go, and my kitchen is about 100 square feet. They are, however, very effective and convenient to have around as they do get the job done well. They are fairly easy to use and they do not leave behind any streaks on my floors either, which is always a good thing! I like that they are not so dripping wet that they leave a lot of water behind on your floors, they are just clean enough without being dangerously and slippery wet. They are also great for doing spot cleaning when it's a really dirty spot that you do not even want to clean up with a paper towel. I only wish that you did not also need so many accessories along with it, like the cleaning pads as well as the cleaning solution. Also, the refill pads themselves are becoming increasingly difficult to locate in stores so I have been ordering mine online.

There are better mops out there!

2

I used the Clorox ReadyMop while living in a small apartment. The only places that needed mopping were the kitchen & the bathroom. The Clorox ReadyMop seemed like a good option and the price seemed good. I do NOT miss getting rid of this mop! First off, you have to buy pads for the mop and the liquid cleaner. It would be much more convenient if it was an all-in-one product. You squeeze a trigger when you want the cleaner to come out. It comes from the bottle, down a little tube, and onto the floor. Then you mop the area with the pad on the bottom of the mop. It seemed like the tubing was always leaking! It was very frustrating. I suppose it did get the floors clean, but it just seemed to make a mess. Then, when the pad was all soaked and dirty and gross, you had to pry it off the mop to throw it away. Also, once the pads starting getting wet, they seemed to start falling off the mop (there are four little places they push into on the top of the mop). I would not recommend this mop, as there are so many other better, easier-to-use similar products out there.

cheaply made hard to manuever

2

The Clorox ready mop is a very affordable mop. That being said, it is inexpensive because it is very cheaply made. That became clear to me when taking it out of the box and having difficulties getting the two plastic pieces to lock together securely in order to mop the floor. To use the mop, I found myself holding one hand down by the piece that "locks" the mop together in order to get a more secure hold and be able to mop the floor better. When I would try to maneuver the mop, the mop would come apart. It quickly became noticeable of just how much time was being added by reassembling the mop and concentrating on holding the mop together. Overall, my floors did look cleaner. The mop has a solution that not only cleans but disinfects. I thought the solution smelt awfully strong, but it did provide a clean look and pick up most of the dirt and dust on my surfaces. If you are willing to deal with a cheap mop, this mop does clean and disinfect the floors well.

Clorox ReadyMop Will Clean Your Floors

4

The Clorox ReadyMop makes mopping the floors easy. I threw away my bucket and mop years ago. I was eating breakfast one day and I spilled a drink on the floor. It was going to leave a sticky mess. I reached for this mop and cleaned up my floor. It made my floor shine. I like using this mop on my bathroom floors because it picks up little pieces of hair. It doesn't work very well on pet hairs. I use this mop often to remove dirt, dust and soil. It removes stains too. I think it is because of the Clorox. It dries fast, and you don't have to rinse it off. It is super easy to use. You can use this mop on finished wood floors. It will work on finished linoleum, tile, marble and other surfaces as well. This mop is not heavy and has a stylish design. It will handle a variety of tough jobs. The cleaning pads I use smell fresh and clean. It quickly gets rid of grease, and it is a good disinfectant. This mop will probably last a year or so, depending on how much you use it. This mop is reasonably priced. I like using this mop because it saves me time and money.

Supposed convenience that doesn't live up to it's standard.

I use many clorox products and am normally satisfied with these products, but I am very disappointed with the Clorox ready mop.  Granted, it is probably no worse than similar products such as the swiffer wet jet, but it does not live up to the clorox reputation.  I have linolium floors, and this ready "mop" only works if I use it every day.  If there is any build up at all, I have to get on my hands and knees in order to get the floor clean, and that is exactly what I don't want to do when I use a "mop".  These types of wet jets or ready mops definately do not replace the old standard mops unless you are doing quick and easy jobs, and frankly, who has room for more than one mop?  I'll just keep one old fashioned one that does whatever job it has to.

No More Mopping Procrastination

3

Mopping the floor is a chore that many people put off for as long as they can. The filling of the bucket and mixing of floor cleaner, not to mention the bending, squeezing, and straining that are often involved in mopping are enough to make most people compromise and just pick up what they can visibly see on the floor by hand and wait for another day to get out the mop. Fortunately, some household goods companies have come forward with devices that make mopping the floor a little less of a task to dread. One of these companies is Clorox, and the product is the **Clorox Ready Mop**, an easy answer to the annoyance of mopping the floor. **Mop Commentary:** Mopping floors is a nasty chore that causes more procrastination than the majority of other household tasks. When I heard about the Clorox Ready Mop in an advertisement, it seemed like a product that would suit me well since it seemed like something that would make me less likely to avoid the task. Not only is this type of mop easy to use, but it is also designed for less strenuous and less serious floor cleaning. Most of my "messes" are small in size, so this is really the only type of mop I need in most instances. I made the purchase, then proceeded to my kitchen to try out my new weapon against dirt and grime.  The advantages of this product are obvious. First of all, there is no need to drag out the bucket and fill it with water. The special cleaning fluid doesn't require any water to make it work and there is no rinsing. In a very short time after cleaning (less than 5 minutes), the liquid is dried and gone, leaving a clean floor behind. The convenience is hard to beat. There is no water, no mixing, no getting your hands wet, and no problems. Just spray, wipe, remove pad, throw in trash, and put mop back in the closet. While it may be very easy to use, there are a few disadvantages to this product. First off, let's talk about the liquid itself. The bottle will last most people about 10 weeks, but once it is gone, you have to go out and purchase more cleaning fluid bottles. The same is true with the pads. If you have extensive cleaning to do, this fact could make the product impractical. Of course, one can always pour his/her own cleaning fluid into the bottle and improvise by using something else for the cleaning pad. But you may not get the best results if you do this and (naturally) Clorox doesn't recommend using anything other than its own replacement products. Another thing I don't like about this mop is the spraying action. The nozzle that releases the liquid onto your floor is located close to the floor, just above the base. When you pull the trigger, the liquid is sprayed only a very short distance. There is no way to make it go further. If you pull too lightly, part of the liquid will land on top of the base. But even if you pull quickly, it still doesn't go very far. You just have to keep spraying until you get what you want and then push the mop around to get the floor covered. Also, after so many pulls of the trigger, you might develop a cramp in your hand. Oh, and the pad is a little bit weak and flimsy and can easily tear apart if you push too hard or run over anything rough. One important thing to keep in mind with a product like this one is that it was manufactured and designed for *simple* cleaning jobs. The cleaning pad doesn't contain strong bristles or anything that has the ability to scrub. It's just a simple pad and while the liquid is very good at dissolving grease and dirt, it still has its limits. If you have a really tough cleaning job, you will only heighten your level of frustration level with the Clorox Ready Mop. For the tough jobs, you will have to break down and use a traditional mop or, at the very least, a sponge mop that will permit the use of some elbow grease. A product like this works for me because I have very light cleaning to do, comparatively speaking. My floors get grease on them, dog hair, and crumbs of food. But even when they have been neglected for an extended period of time, there is still no need for a heavy- duty mopping job. Clorox Ready Mop is just about all I need. **Bottom Line:** All in all, this is a pretty good product that is fine for cleaning up light to moderately messy kitchen and bathroom floors. It's not equipped to handle the really dirty jobs and if you buy it thinking it is, you will be very disappointed. But for simple cleaning, Clorox Ready Mop completes the task of mopping with almost no pain or strain. Just spray, wipe, and put the mop away. It's as simple as a product can be.

Clorox Ready Mop is a must if you have kids

3

After my oldest started crawling I purchased a swiffer WetJet in hopes of being able to keep my floors cleaner.  It was ok but I wanted something a little bit sturdier so when I saw the Clorox ReadyMop  at the store I had to try it.  Now my ready mop gets more use than the wetjet.  I have always associated the name Clorox with my grandma using Clorox bleach to clean everything.  I wasn't exactly thrilled with the smell of the cleaner compared to the swiffer cleaner but it did seem to clean a bit better than the wetjet solution on sticky messes such as jam or honey on the floor.  I thing the Clorox Ready Mop is a bit better quality than the wet jet and because of that I feel like I get a better clean since I am able to really scrub my floors.  The cost associated with the ready mop refill solution and pads is about the same as with the wetjet but I did find our that I could easily replace the pad on the Ready mop with a reusable microfiber cloth and it works great and gives it extra scrubbing power.

Works, but not outstanding

3

I have never understood how pushing dirty water around with a dirty mop cleans. And I don't think I ever will. So when I got married I set out to get a Swiffer Wet Jet. When I got to the store I discovered the Clorox Ready Mop, which works the same....but the Starter pack was cheaper, as well as the replacement pads and solution. So I went for Clorox instead. My personal opinion is it works. It does what I was looking for- it cleans the floor. But it's not outstanding. My main concern is the sturdiness of the sweeper. I can wipe the floors just fine, but I can't scrub if there's anything stuck on. The metal pole begins to bend with just a little pressure. So I always have to go back afterwards and scrub up the gunk. My other problem was the cleaning solution leaking when I stored it in the closet, so I have discovered that by storing it upside down the solution stays down in the bottle. Other than that, it sprays well, the pads pick up just enough to cover my kitchen and bathroom floors, and it cleans fine. Plus, the smell doesn't give me a headache. So it's decent...but if it ever breaks I will probably try a Swiffer just to see how it compares.
