A friend gave me this eye shadow because it came as a free gift to her and she didn't like the colors. I have blue eyes, blonde hair, and fair skin and this is my absolute favorite eye shadow EVER in the history of eye shadows. I have worn it for about four years and it never fails to look beautiful, go on smoothly, and last all day. The colors look a bit daunting when you open the compact, just because they seem bright and the purple/chocolate seems really dark. Don't worry! The pink goes on with a great golden shimmer, which complements my skin tone so perfectly. It could be used almost sheer if you apply it lightly or you can apply more and make it a little darker. I use it both ways, depending on the day and what I'm doing. I use the chocolate to create a slightly smoky look by applying and blending just a bit in the crease of my eyes. Clinique better keep on making this shade because I use it all the time. Excellent product.

This duo is a really good choice. The chocolate and the light pink make a great combo. The pink really lights up my eyes, and the brown is nice for my lower lid to add a little depth. Clinique does a great job paring colors together! I wish the brown square was a little bigger though, I end up with a LOT of extra pink, and no brown to go with it. Oh well. The color seems to last a decent amount of time. I do touch it up a bit when I get home if we are going to go out for dinner. It doesn't flake off, or anything, it just seems to fade over time. So, to get that zing again, I reapply the color. And, I look instantly refreshed. I like that the brown/pink combo is really actually pretty natural looking. So, it doesn't look too made up or anything. The size is decent enough, it lasts a long time, just wish the color squares were both the same size! Oh, the compact is very nice, and comes with a mirror!

Clinique is my go to make-up. I like the sparkle of the eyeshadow duos. One of my favorites was wedding day, but it was discontinued:(. The strawberry fudge however, is a nice complement to my skin tone and I use it daily for work and school. What I like most about this shade is, and Clinique in general, is that it isn't too "loud" of a color. Personally, I am not very comfortable wearing a lot of make-up and don't ever want to look like I am wearing too much. The brown shade of the eyeshadow blends nicely with the pink so that it doesn't ever look like I am overdoing it on the make-up. I also like that it comes with a small brush so that the entire packet fits well in my purse without the need to carry around an additional make-up brush. I really don't have too many negative things to say about this product. If you would like a more dramatic look, then this isn't the product for you, but for someone who wants a simple every day look, this is for you.

This color duo was suggested for me by the sales associate at the Clinique counter. I was skeptical, since I thought pink eyeshadow seemed rather 80s and would not look good on my very fair skin. Boy was I wrong! The eyeshadow comes in a sleek compact with a small mirror included. The eyeshadows themselves are generous size. Since this is quality eyeshadow, the pigment is strong and you do not need to use as much in order to get the coverage/color that you want. The brush/applicator holder is sufficient to hold the implement, unlike many department store eyeshadow compacts whose sponge applicator shifts around the container. Also, the container is good quality as well and you will not have the lid snapping off. I usually use my own eyeshadow brushes to apply eyeshadow rather than the included sponge applicator brush, but the included applicator was great! One side is the sponge applicator brush for more precise application, the other side is a very soft, miniature brush. Works wonderfully. The combination of these two colors - chocolate & strawberry fudge - surprised me and looks great! Works wonders for a more natural look as well as vamped up for a formal night out. Highly recommend!

This is the only eye shadow duo that I use.  The color lasts well into the evening, and it is so natural that it is not too gaudy or brash.  The double ended brush that it comes with works great to help you achieve whatever type of look you are looking to accomplish.  I love using this eyeshadow with a base sometimes to bring out the darker tones or by themselves to leave a more natural look.  This eyeshadow does last for a long time, although I have noticed that when I get close to running out it can get messy.  However, with the proper maintenance of the container, even when there is very little left, this eyeshadow can be used.  I love using this product and the sales representatives are very helpful with determining the proper shade and even if this color were the worst one for your shade it is formulated and a lighter intensity that seems to work with anyone.  It is expensive for this eyeshadow, but it does last if you take care of the container.

I remember when Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow Duo Strawberry Fudge was new. The soft, gentle pink mixed with the deep brown was a very in style idea and I still like it! Although the colors contrast, Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow Duo Strawberry Fudge is very gentle and feminine. A light application is all I need for the day and it can be applied heavier for a night or glamourous look. I brush the light "strawberry" color from my eyelid to my brow, then brush the "fudge" color lightly over my eyelid and curve the brush with the darker color back and forth in my natural eyelid crease to create a look of depth and contrast. I like the Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow Duo Strawberry Fudge case very much because both colors are side by side with an applicator in a closable case, making it perfect to put into a purse and take with you for an necessary touch ups while away from home. Great product!

I have always loved Clinique eyeshadows, but the Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo is Strawberry Fudge is a whole other type of love. I just this eyeshadow everyday, and have found that many people with many different complextions, hair color, etc. can use this color combo with ease. This color comibnation is so beautiful, and there are little flecks of sparkle in it that are not overpowering, but really take the color to the next level. The brown and pink combination look very natural on me, yet add just that little bit of color to my face without being overpowering. I am a huge proponent of natural looking makeup, and this set is very natural looking on me. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I have recieve on this eye shadow. It always looks fantastic with anything I wear. If I had to choose one eye shadow to live with the rest of my life, this would be it. I would not hesitate at all. The only con I have about it, is I always run out of brown well before I run out of pink, but I have another brown that I bought that is almost a perfect match to use when I do.
