Clear & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment is my go-to treatment for when a pimple pops up. It's great for smaller, isolated blemishes, which I tend to have, but also can cover a larger area. The gel goes on smoothly and other people can't tell that you have it on, except for maybe a little shine, and it can go under makeup when it's dry. The smell isn't too overwhelming like with some other acne products, I reach for this as soon as I see a breakout happening and usually the blemish is gone within a few days. I usually only put it on once, maybe twice a day, generally when I wake up and before bed. One problem that I have that discourages me from using this product though is that it will often bleach your towels when you dry your hands after using it (even when you wash your hands with soap.) I try to wash my hands more thoroughly but it still happens sometimes, so don't use this with good towels.

If I have a pimple starting to make an appearance, I wash the area, and put a bit of this on it- the next morning it is either gone or extremely reduced. There is no smell, taste (I have flossed afterward and there was no bad taste), and it is thick (not runny) so it is not messy. It is a white cream, so you can see exactly where you have put it. The only thing that would be better is if it was clear gel. Effectiveness If I feel or see a pimple starting to form, I dab on this cream before I go to bed. In the morning, when I wash my face, the spot it either completely better or it is much less severe. It takes away that pain of a new pimple, too. I am a pimple picker, and if I pop a pimple and then dab on a little cream, it really cleans up whatever is there and the area is much smoother and less red by the next morning. Ease of Application It is a thick cream, so it does not run all over the place. Dab a little on your finger and transfer to the pimple and smooth it on. It is very easy to apply. Convenience This tube will fit anywhere so it is a great on-the-go solution to pimples when you are away from your medicine cabinet. Side Effects I have never experienced side effects from using this product. Immediacy I put the cream on at night and by the next morning, my pimples are greatly reduced.

Occasionally I get a stubborn spot on my face that I know is going to cause trouble. You can feel the pressure under the skin and the swelling before the bump shows up but I always know it's going to be a big one and a stubborn one at that. I get what I call water bumps occasionally. When I get stressed, a bump, and usually just one, will appear on my face around my mouth. It's not got any thing in it like a white head or blackhead, and it seems like water or clear liquid comes out once I can manage to get it to burst so I call them water bumps. They're kind of like cysts. The spot treatment significantly helps those type of bumps. I just dab some on and rub it in and then when I go to bed or when I'm just working around the house, I will actually rub some on and then put a dab over the bump and let it sit on the surface of the skin. This tends to be a bit over drying but it helps so much at taking the redness and swelling out of the bump. One downfall to the product is that I notice it dries bumps out so much that the skin peels off and leaves my face a little sensitive and tender. Overall though I give it a 7. It takes several days to help but I notice my face doesn't scar much or at all when I use this product on these types of bumps and after a few days, the bump will actually burst and begin to heal. Effectiveness Does a good job of bringing out the redness and swelling. Ease of Application Very easy to apply and love the little travel tube. Convenience Easy to carry anywhere. Side Effects It does make my skin dry out and peel a little. Immediacy This takes a couple days to work but it's much better than the wait and see method.

I originally purchased Clean & Clear Advantage Spot Treatment as a "Hail Mary", if you catch my drift. I don't break out very frequently but when I do it is always the day before something important. The packaging boasts that the spot treatment will reduce redness and visibility with in four hours of the first application. I generously applied it to my break out and two hours in my redness and swelling had greatly reduced. From that point on I'd say I got a bit obsessive and reapplied too frequently. Like I said, I don't break out much and when I do its before a big day. I had a big day the next day! By the morning of my break out was hardly noticeable and easily concealed with a bit of make up. Effectiveness Its helped me in a pinch on several occasions. I keep it in my travel make up bag that I carry in my purse, thats how much I love this spot treatment! Ease of Application The spot treatment is a gel. You want to make sure that both your hands and face are clean before applying the gel to the break out. You just squeeze enough out to cover the bump(s) and let it do the work for you. Convenience You apply the gel to the area and four hours later your acne or spot will be less red and less swollen. I'd say thats pretty easy. Side Effects If you over apply ( I do) your skin will become dried out due to the acid in the gel. If that happens you reduce your usage and perhaps use a light exfoliation to brush away the dead skin. Immediacy I saw results in two hours. The immediacy of this product is why I continue to buy it.

Clean and Clear's Advantage Acne Spot Treatment does not work nearly as rapidly as they claim on the packaging. Although it can ultimately help dry up a zit, this takes several days to a week and can sometimes cause them to appear worse for a day or so before they get better. I would not recommend this as a zit-zapping solution if you have an important event in the next day or so. It is pretty drying and causes the skin around the zit to flake out, which makes it virtually impossible to conceal the zit with make-up. This makes you think that perhaps you should have simply left it alone and let it run its course naturally. I have used the product off and on over the years when I didn't have anything else at my house, and I am not completely disappointed in it exactly since it does help improve zits, but I'm not super impressed with it either. I wouldn't recommend it if you have very dry skin because it will probably be too irritating.

I have used Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment for the last 5 years. I have fairly good skin with a few breakouts and clogged pores every few weeks. I really only needed this product to clear up spots and this was perfect for decreasing the redness and size of the pimples on my face. I would recommend anyone to use this before bed while you have a clear face, since it does not work well with other products applied with it. This product does help fade acne scars or marks and is fairly inexpensive. This acne spot treatment would also work for anyone if they had more acne but they would need to add more of the treatment to the broken out area. One negative is that this will dry out your skin especially if you use it for the recommended amount of times listed on the back of the bag. The smell on this product is sort of perfume like but is not too strong. Overall this product is great and I would recommend to anyone!

In an attempt to make pimples disappear as soon as I saw them forming, I purchased the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment. According to the package, it clears up most pimples in a few days. I had a wedding to attend in less than a week when I noticed a pimple forming on my forehead, so I decided to give it a try. After washing my face, I would place a small amount of this gel on my pimple only, just as the directions had said. The following day I noticed no difference, with the pimple getting a bit larger. The day after that, I noticed that the skin on the pimple was peeling a bit, which was a good sign. But the days following that just led to my skin peeling a bit more, and the pimple kept getting larger. A week later the pimple was finally starting to go down, but it took a total of two weeks to clear up. This happened multiple times when I used the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment. While the gel was easy to put on, and easy to use, I felt that the product was ineffective for me. The price was especially high admitting it didn't work.

I depend on Clean & Clear acne treatments to deal with chronic adult acne. The spot treatment works quickly for me, clearing blemishes within just a few days on my really stubborn blemishes, even faster if I apply it at the first sign of a bump. It works on open blemishes well, drying them out and clearing them out of all the "gunk", and helps the heal quickly with minimal scarring. Works best if used with other Clean & Clear products, like the open pimple spot treatment, and the Clean & Clear cleansers. The only reason I am not giving it a 10 is because I wish it came in larger size tubes with more product. Side Effects If applied on DRY skin, it can cause some residual flaking or drying of skin. But exfoliation of the flaking removes it, and application of an acne control oil free moisturizer before applying the spot treatment seems to prevent my very dry skin from drying out from this product.

I have always had issues with my acne, going so far as to avoid my photo being taken from even my own family members in my shame and embarrassment. I like to call myself a connoisseur of facial treatments because I have tried so many in the attempt at finding the perfect one. I bought the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment in the hopes that it would, of course, help with things. It is a slightly gooey, slightly opaque liquid that smells a bit chemical-like and has excellent drying properties. Definitely is to be used only as a spot treatment. I was putting it all over my face and instantly found it to be dry, itchy and terribly flaky. Don't be like me. But it works great as a spot treatment. Ease of Application Super easy to use. Just dab away! Side Effects Use only as spot treatment. I went a little stir crazy and put it all over my face which resulted in severely dry, painfully itchy skin Immediacy It took about a week or half a week for me to notice results. Definitely has great drying properties.
