As far as the Herbal Essences line is concerned, this product has served me the best in terms of my natural hair. The scent is earthy and floral enough that the sweet hue is not sickeningly tart like I experienced with some of my earlier adventures in mixing up shampoos. The fragrance is strong all day which means that every bounce of your hair is going to be a new waft of berry and orchid. That being said, this in no way will help you obtain curls. It will strengthen what you already have, however, and in my experience it was enough. It smoothed my slight waves, and with enough product, kept it sleek and shiny all day.

I began using Herbal Essences Totally Twisted shampoo and conditioner recently after I discovered that my hair is curly after being straight my entire life. This shampoo and conditioner definitely make a difference. I didn't really expect much of a difference when I bought it, but I was pleasantly surprised. It cannot be beaten for the price especially. I also like the options on size. There is a medium sized bottle and a larger one depending on what you want. Effectiveness This conditioner works great at making my hair curlier without getting frizzy, which is what happens with some other conditioners. The conditioner is heavy enough to keep the frizz at bay but light enough that it doesn't weigh down my hair or make it greasy. I use this conditioner with the Totally Twisted shampoo and mousse, and the combination of the 3 works very well for me. Scent I love the scent of the Totally Twisted line. The berry scent is great for waking up in the morning.

I really enjoyed this conditioner. My boyfriend has short, three inch curls and is always looking for a good product that is inexpensive. This conditioner didn't shape or mold his curls any. It didn't do anything in so far as adding any waves or extra curls or bounce but it definitely helped moisturize his curls and tame them down. The frizz was significantly less and his curls are soft to the touch. I can actually run my hair through them when he uses this and it won't mess his hair up or cause a frizzy mess. Overall I give this an eight because it did moisturize his curls and give them a shine and gloss. They are manageable and soft and smell great to my feminine nose. The frizz and static are minimum. It even helps some with the dandruff. The only thing it doesn't do is give his curls more shape or make them fuller. That's what's really missing with this but a lot of people purchase it for long curls I'm sure. This also is safe for long hair and color treated hair. It doesn't add any curl so it's safe for me to borrow and use. I love a product that can be used by everyone in my multi-hair type household. Effectiveness Does a good job of smoothing, moisturizing, and adding manageability. Does not add extra body/volume/shape to the curls but makes them soft and manageable. Helps them feel and look healthier. Scent I love the smell of this conditioner but it's a bit girly for my guy. Although, he's usually not too close to anyone for them to smell his hair, I do wish herbal essences made a men line.

Ahhhh the other half of this winning shampoo and conditioner duo. This stuff is great and it does do what it claims to do. It takes my once curly hair back to being curly and from simply a conditioner that's impressive. I don't like the scent as well as some others, it's supposed to be a berry scent - but that's not enough reason for me to give it any of less of a rating, all at a reasonable price.

I've gone through most of the Herbal Essences line, namely because they are affordable (they frequently go on sale in my area, or have coupons in the paper) and also do what I ask of them; which is moisturize and accentuate my waves. Naturally of course, this is the best for my waves out of the entire range. The packaging is simple and appealing, almost iconic at this point, and actually stands in a way that the product collects at the dispensary. I find the smell to be clean and appealing, and not too lingering. Most importantly, my waves and curls aren't weighed down and are lusciously cared for. Even if you're not on a budget, it is still worth giving this a try, if not to just keep as a backup in case you forget to stock up on your favorite and run out. Effectiveness My hair is shiny and lush after using this, not to mention soft. I used to be afraid that when people would ask to touch my hair, they'd find it brittle and dehydrated, but not anymore! Scent I personally like the scent, but if you find yourself sensitive, I would give this a smell while in-store to determine if it's too much or unappealing to your scent pallet.

If I had to choose to give up either Totally Twisted Shampoo or Totally Twisted Conditioner...I would give up the shampoo in a heart beat.  The conditioner to me is the best product ever it makes what the shampoo does just SO much better. The Totally Twisted Conditioner comes in purple like the shampoo.  It smells just like the shampoo and it is yummy. When I use it I like to put it in and then let it sit for 3-5 minutes while I do other things in the shower and then rinse it out with luke warm water.  It rinses out great without hardly to no residue and it doesn't weigh down my curls like so much other conditioners. Much like the shampoo I had my doubts but I believe the conditioner worked faster than the shampoo did.  In addition to this product and the Totally Twisted Shampoo I use Biolage Matrix molding souffle and Solutions Clarifying Shampoo (see more on those reviews).   Totally Twisted Shampoo and Conditioner are a great combination that I will continue to use again and again.  If you start to use it, you won't want to stop!

I started using Herbel Essences because I have always heard great things about their products. I have naturally curly hair so I used the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Conditioner & seperate shampoo for a couple of years and was happy most of the time. It smells great,which I had several people comment on how well my hair smelled. Can't beat that. And after the first couple of uses, it made my hair look great too. But as I continued to use it, I felt like my hair wasn't as curly as it use to be. Maybe it was just the season in the year playing a factor. Who knows. But I would describe it as a heaviness on my hair which was making my curls go flat. I ended up switching shampoos & conditioners because I missed my complete curly hair. I might recommend this product to another person but tell them to keep watch on how it is effecting their curls. It could work great for you.

Let me start by describing my hair type. It's about shoulder length, a bit frizzy, a little wavy, a few curls and some straight areas. It's a hot mess. I either just pull it back in a pony tail or flat iron it. I was getting very tired of the pony tail and it took too long to flat iron my hair everyday (especially with an 8 month old crawling around your feet).  I saw the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Conditioner in the store and thought to myself "How much can a conditioner really do to change your hair?" I had a really good coupon for it, so I purchased it. I figured if it worked I could just put moose in my towel dried hair and it should look presentable.  The next morning I washed my hair and put the conditioner in, I let it sit in for about 10 minutes (to make sure it really got in there). I got out of the shower wrapped a towel around my head and went about my normal routine. When it was time, I took the towel off, brushed it and applied moose to all of my hair, I popped in a couple of bobby pins (to keep my hair out of my face) and went about my day. I occasionally checked in the mirror to see how it was looking. Surprisingly it was holding a curl and wasn't frizzy. I was pretty excited.  I have figured out to use this conditioner when I want to have curly/wavy hair and use a different kind on the days I want to flat iron. This conditioner works.

I have super curly hair and I'm always trying new products to make it look the best that it can be.  I have unruly areas that won't curl and barely wave and I have areas that spiral up as tight as a spring.  I found the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves line of products.  The Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Conditioner helps a girl with curly hair manage things.  Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Conditioner smells awesome and leaves your hair easy to detangle and soft as a baby's.  I do suggest using the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Conditioner with the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Shampoo and Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves Styling Line.  When used all together it seems that you can't have a bad hair day.  My only criticism is that it needs to go on sale more often and have more coupons printed.

My hair is pretty curly, so I was thrilled when hair companies started coming out with products specifically for hair like mine. My hair has a mind of its own and doesn't fare well in the humid climate I live in. That makes it especially important for me to find a product that helps my hair out. Let me start by saying that is not that the Totally Twisted line and conditioner doesn't work at all. It conditoned my hair and didn't leave it looking any worse. I was just expecting more obvious results though. I couldn't see any noticable difference in my hair after using this product. I wasn't expecting a miracle but I was expecting a better performance by the conditioner -- I was disappointed when my curls weren't any better defined, or softer, or less frizzy. HE could take away the "totally twisted" title from this product and lable it "normal" and it wouldn't make a difference. It is not the answer to my hair woes that I was expecting it to be.
