works great for me

I have allergies a couple times a year and they drag on for a couple months. I tried this because I was desperate, and it helped me a lot. I applied it before I would pull weeds, and I'm allergic to ragweed. I worked great on me. I'm trying to find it again to buy it.

Just petroleum jelly. waste of money

The Chloraseptic Allergen Block Gel is a drug free way to target indoor and outdoor allergies, as well as block allergens from entering your nose, and it's supposed to keep you from sneezing/getting nasal congestion/runny & itchy nose. I hate to break it to you but pretty much all this is, is petroleum gel mixed with glycerin. So basically if you rubbed Vaseline all over your nose and face that would give you the same result which is nothing but making your nose feel moisturized and less dry. It absolutely does not stop allergens from getting in your nose, even worse I feel like the petroleum makes all the allergens sit on your nose and face. It does not help with nasal congestion/runny nose or any other allergy symptoms. If your nose is chapped/dry and peeling from blowing it too much this will make it moisturized. That is all It was a waste of money and I could have used Vaseline to have the same effect. Effectiveness It is not effective at all. It does not block allergens from getting in your nose, and it does not help with any allergens symptoms. Ease of Use It's easy to use. All you have to do is take a small amount of the gel and apply a small thin layer of it around/underneath your nose, as well as a small amount above your lip. Rub it in until it feels dry. Immediacy It does absolutely nothing for my allergies or for blocking allergens. There is no result at all.

Doesn't help with pet allergies.

I got this because I have severe allergies to cats, their dander just seems to set me off extreme. We were taking a week long vacation and staying at my mother and father in-laws house out of state. They have five cats and they are my mother-in-law's babies and I knew that I could not impose on her with my allergy problems so I bought this hoping that it would block out the allergens off of their dander and I would be able to stand staying there. I put this on a about an hour before we arrived to make sure that it had time to work and was very hopeful that everything would go as planned and that it would work and I would not go into a sneezing frenzy. Unfortunately it was not five minutes of being there that my eyes turned red and watery, my face got puffy and I was sneezing and itching like crazy. I kept on using it throughout the days hoping that it would start to work, but it was all to no avail, it just did not do what I needed it to do.

Makes Life Normal Finally!

When you have a family that suffers from allergies, you know that you will try anything to relieve their symptoms. My daughter has dealt with year round allergies since she was 2 years old and is prescribed medication on a daily basis. My husband has pet allergies and it's a constant battle trying to keep the house in tip top shape, cleaning hair and dander from the cats. I personally suffer from seasonal allergies, although I love the warm weather, I despise the pollen associated with spring. Now all of us deal with symptoms on a regular basis and I find myself switching up on over the counter medication to see what helps the best. When I ran across Chloraseptic Allergen Block Gel, I thought it's worth a shot and took it home for my family to try. Application is easy and it dries on contact, I was pleased with this. All of us used this product and within a week I saw results. My allergies are less severe than my families and I saw the best results. I was able to walk outside free from sneezing, watery eyes and pressure in my nose and head. Now we all stopped taking our regular meds during the time we started this product. I was thrilled to feel normal outside, I actually mowed our lawn without getting a headache and sneezing my head off. My daughter had similar results but continued to have itchy watery eyes but less severe. When she used in combination with her allergy medication, I could visibly see a difference in her, the combination worked and the great thing is she was able to cut her dosage in half! My husband saw a difference in his pet allergies and we are no longer considering giving our cats away. I am so happy to see a drug free product work, because I feel it's safer for my family. I strongly suggest using this product if you suffer with any type of allergy, it may not completely stop all symptoms but it will cut your symptoms in half. Since trying this product it has become somewhat of a must in our household. It helps me feel normal again during allergy season, and my family has benefit greatly from using this product. Effectiveness This product is not a miracle but it will reduce allergy symptoms by half. Ease of Use Very easy to apply and dries fast with no greasy sticky feel to it. Immediacy Within a few days I started to notice a huge difference, I think it starts working instantly.

Works better than I initially thought it would

I previously thought Chloraseptic only made lozenges. When I saw this Chloraseptic Allergen Block Gel in the store, I thought its claims were a little far fetched. I don't have severe allergies, but I do get congested during the months when the weather is changing. All I do is rub a little bit of this gel around the outside of my nostrils and it prevents the congestion before it starts. It's intended to block the symptoms from starting, but not treat them. I initially thought I would have to rub it inside my nose, but it's applied outside the nostrils. It doesn't have a bad smell and doesn't cause any discomfort or tingling because it's drug free. The only downside is my face is prone to acne breakouts and will occasionally break out because the gel transfers to other parts of my face while I'm sleeping. I do have to reapply it several times during the day, and sometimes I wake up during the night and need to reapply it for it to continue working. Overall, I think it's a great product. It could use some improvement, but I have no complaints. Chloraseptic definitely delivered on their claims with this product.

Chloraseptic Allergen Block Gel

The Chloraseptic Allergen Block Gel is a complete scam. I have allergies sometimes, but they aren't too bad. A friend of mine suggested this Allergen block gel. She suffers from horrible allergies, and she said this is the first thing that has ever worked for her. I decided to give it a try. I knew it contained no medication, but I thought there was something in it that helped the allergies. That's not how it works at all. This is pretty much just a little tube of petroleum jelly. You put a little pit under your nostrils, and a little of it in the corners of your nose. It is supposed to work by absorbing the negative particles before they enter your nose. The allergens are supposed to get stuck in the gel. First of all, that it the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life. Second, even if it did work that way, a big bottle of petroleum jelly would be much cheaper. I felt no allergy relief from this at all!

Purchased this today, very impressed.

I saw this today at the drug store and I have been having some issues with indoor allergies because I am deep cleaning my home and it is very dusty. This product was different than almost any other allergy reducer I have used. It is applied around the outside of your nostrils and I noticed a great reduction of my allergy symptoms in about fifteen minutes. When I am deal with dust, my eyes, nose, and throat get terribly itchy, I cough, sneeze, and am generally miserable. This product had me up and going in no time and although I had to reapply it two more times during that day, it worked great. I used this plus an allergy tablet that same night and I slept great. It was a little more than your average allergy tablet, but I did not mind. I am going to use it just for when I have a bad allergy attack, so it lasts longer. I definitely recommend picking up this product and giving it a try.

AllergenBlock really works!

So I tried this stuff not expecting much, but I must say it really works. No need to take a pill, just put a little on your finger and spread it around your nostrils and under your nose and it catches airborne allergens. You just put some on before you go outside during pollen season or whenever and it actually works. I went outside in the pollen and didn't even sneeze, which was the first time I think that has ever happened. This really is a great product, even though it is a bit expensive for such a little tube of medicine. I guess it's worth it if you can breathe though and not be miserable. So anyone who has bad allergies like me and want to be able to breathe when you walk outside during the spring should try this.
