For a person that doesn't want to lug around a big camera to events, this is perfect. It has 7.2 Megapixels, more than enough for your average picture taker, an easily viewable 2.7" LCD screen, image stabilization, and a 3x optical zoom lens, as well as digital zoom. The docking station makes it easy to recharge as well as download pics. There are lots of  extra camera features and settings for those who are semi-technically able, but not too challenging for those who just want to point and shoot. It takes great pictures, and has a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that will last through an evening of picture taking, just make sure you charge it before you leave as you can't just replace it during the night with disposable batteries. It also comes in great colors for those who want more than your basic silver. Mine is purple!!!

We bought this camera about 2 months after my son was born.  We have larger cameras with all the bells & whistles but with a new born I found them difficult to keep close enough to capture the moments that I wanted to share with family & friends.  I decided I needed a camera just for my diaper bag something small & easy to use but something that would hold up to a diaper bags abuse.  This has been a great camera and has aloud me to share moments with every one.  My favorite feature is it puts date & time on photo's if you want it to but caution when you change your battery mae sure you check your date it may reset.  My son is now 2 1/2 years old and trust me we put this camers to the test vacations, football games, holidays,parks and playgrounds, you name it we've been there.  I wish it was waterproof and even shock proof would be nice our camera as I stated before has been through alot I can no longer delete photo's because one of the buttons sticks but it still takes great photo's and isvery compact but not to compact that you would put it in your pocket & forget it was there & possibly sit on it. If you need a camera that is small I would definently recommend this for the money .

this is a good camera...-the pictures are very clear at night-it has nice quality and it shoots video as well.-the video is 30 seconds max-It is very small and thin, which is good for casual use. I put it in my back-pocket-it isn't so small that you can't get a grip on it and keep dropping it. the size is just perfect-I have this red one, it really attracts attention from the ladies :)
