I have tried several other dishwashing cleansers. I can say that this is the best, in my experience. I use this in more than one residential location, with different brands of dishwashers, and it works well in all situations. I am someone who runs the dishwasher very often, on average once a day. Cascade has never let me down. It gets the dishes clean, most importantly, and it leaves them shiny. I don't see the point of cutting corners with a no-name brand that you'll pay not much less for and which will leave you disappointed. Other brands I've used have worked well sometimes, not other times, and have responded differently to different kinds/brands of dishwasher. Not Cascade! I love the convenience of the gel container that you can just squirt into the dispenser container. It's neat and efficient, and the container is recyclable. What's not to like? Even with greasy, stuck-on food, Cascade has done the job.

I used it for years then decided to try the others but hands down it is the best. No spots and leaves your dishes looking like they are new. I recommend it to my friends and they seem to agree. So when you find something that works stick with it I am. I have not tried the one with dawn in it or lemon but happy with the shine shield for now.

Liquid dishwasher detergents are my preference, but like other consumers, I find that some do not necessarily meet my expectations or match the claims of the manufacturer. Fortunately, there are some that do meet standards and claims and one of them is **Cascade Plus Shine Shield.** **Dishwasher Detergent Facts and Commentary:** Cascade Plus Shine Shield has a lemony scent and is made to get dishes as clean and shiny as possible. It accomplishes this, in part, because of its formula- a formula that contains chlorine bleach. The product contains no phosphates. Cascade Plus Shine Shield is an effective dish cleaning product and it does, like its name suggests, add shine to glassware and other dishes. When I first heard about this product, I figured the shine component was due to added rinsing agent, similar to Jet Dry, but that isn't the case. The product instead uses other chemicals plus chlorine bleach to get dishes clean and shiny. Cascade Plus Shine Shield does make dishes look brighter and cleaner, but the added bleach is a concern. Consumers have to be careful not to allow the liquid to come in contact with clothing, fabric, or anything else that isn't bleach safe. And, of course, it needs to be kept out of the reach of children due to its added toxic qualities. **My Bottom Line:** If you want clean, shiny dishes then Cascade Plus Shine Shield is a product to consider buying. Added bleach may sound a little scary at first and the thought of bleach touching a surface that will eventually hold your family's food and drink may sound unwise. But as long as the product is used properly, it will rinse clean and everything will be safe and sound. It's another good, quality product from Cascade.

I have always believed doing dishes by-hand is the best way to get off any spots or stuck on food. Often times, this remains the case as was my belief that the age of a dishwasher was the single most important thing for the cleanliness of the dishes. For years my family had to rinse off almost every spec of food from dishes before putting them in the dishwasher because of the age of the dishwasher. However, after we started using cascade this was not such a huge ordeal, and then when we got an even newer dishwasher we only had to get rid of the major left over spots,and that was only to keep the dishwasher in working-order so food would not remain in the bottom of the washer! The price of Cascade is extremely competitive with other dishwashing soaps. Another benefit of Cascade is that it does not leave spots when the dishes are left to dry in the dishwasher. Cascade is the best dishwashing soap on the market!

Cascade plus ShineShield dishwashing liquid is one of the best dishwashing detergents out there.  I run my dishwasher only occasionally because my family of two adults and two small children does not produce a lot of dishes in any given day  but when I do, I am very pleased of how the dishes look after they come out of the dishwasher.  They look absolutely clean and very shiny, especially our glassware and silverware.  They look better than new.  Sometimes I even put the dishes in the dishwasher in order to renew that shine and make them look new again.  My husband even wants me to do it once in a while although we feel a bit wasteful running the dishwasher too often.  I would definitely recommend this dishwashing liquid if you want your dishes to look squeaky clean and new.  It is well worth the price you pay for it and you can find it at a great bargain if you wait for a sale and combine that with a manufacturer coupon.

I use nothing but Cascade in my dishwasher and this product is wonderful!  It cleans my dishes and makes them shine!  I get them out to put them away and they look so clean they almost look new!  Cascade is a product I trust and a product that I expect would continue to put out better and better products.  I would highly recommend this product to family and friends.

Everything about Cascade plus ShineShield is great. You put it in the dishwasher and the dishes come out sparkling. This detergent does a great job. It washes very well, and everything rinses clean. I prefer Cascade plus ShineShield to any other brand.  I love the scent and ability to clean without scum being left on dishes.  Pre-rinsing is not needed with this detergent.  You get the cleanest clean on dishes and glasses ever. This is a  product worth buying! I have never considered writing a review on a dishwasher detergent before, but this stuff is great!  Cascade plus ShineShield cleans our dishes perfectly, and leaves no residue. The scent is nice too.  It is an amazing product.. Everything looks shiny and new, there are no etches and no clouds on my glassware. It cleans really well and smells great. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants sparkling dishes and glasses.
