Capresso Grinds Flaxseeds

4

Neither my husband nor I are coffee drinkers, but we wanted to have something to grind flaxseed for better health, so I purchased the Capresso Cool Grind Blade Grinder for that purpose. As long as I didn't fill the grinding bowl too full, the Capresso grinder did a good job grinding up the seeds. I bought the display since that was the only one in stock, so it didn't come with instructions and I'm not sure the best way to thoroughly clean it (I can't tell that the grinding surfaces/bowl can be separated from the electrical parts). There is a groove at the bottom of the cylinder where you can wrap the electric cord around and store it. This is a great feature because I store in a cupboard and appreciate that the plug is not dangling off the shelf. To operate the grinder, the lid must be on and a lever pushed down on the outside to engage the switch. This helps me feel safe using it.

Best handheld grinder for your money.

I have owned this coffee grinder for seven years now. As I type this review, the grinder sits to my right on the countertop, looking pretty much the way it did the day it was given to me. The gifter knew how much I liked coffee, so he went to one of those fancy kitchen stores and brought home a grinder, and bag of great beans, and an awesome travel mug. The things that I like best about this grinder (aside from its obvious durability) is that I can operate it one-handed, and that the actual grinding space seems to be bigger than in other small grinders. The one-handed thing is important because I'm a mother, and I simply cannot have anything stand in the way of me and my coffee. I've found that I can grind enough beans for a full pot of coffee in one go. The blades stay cool, and the pulse feature gives you control of how coarse or fine you grind your beans. To clean the grinder, I wipe it clean with a slightly damp paper towel. Another cleaning method to remove the oils from the coffee beans is to pulse a piece of bread or a tablespoon of uncooked rice before wiping. If you want to grind spices also, I highly recommend that you use two separate grinders.

The Capresso Cool Grind Blade Grinder works great

I have had the Capresso Cool Grind Blade Grinder coffee grinder for a few years now. It is used pretty much every day and it has always worked perfectly. When I originally bought it I had researched affordable grinders and this one was rated better than the other popular brands of grinders. It does a great job of grinding my coffee very fine and does it very quickly as well. I had never heard of this brand before I did my research so I was a little bit leary of buying it but I haven't regretted it at all. I chose to buy a coffee pot and coffee grinder seperately rather than buying them built together because I was worried that the grinder on the coffee pot would break before the coffee pot did. I like having both so I never have to worry about that problem. I would definitely buy another Capresso coffee grinder since the one I have has worked so well for me and has lasted a long time too.
